Several teams going with 2 QBS and hoping to get 1-2 on PS. Seen this with Miami, Minnesota, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Tennessee. With the talent the Bills would need to cut, I can see the Bills do the same. Davis and Fromm to PS.
This falls into trying to collect talent vs team building. It could be argued that it would not even add talent and the Bills are better off with Barkley overall.
It is not 1/3 as the normal is 10 players. Struggling to see any reason to do this that makes sense. If a GM did this they would not be a GM long by volunteering a disadvantage.
Good post by the OP. TSW has been too political lately and unpleasant as a result. The politics was tolerated much more than I thought it would in that forum.
I read here more than I post. I would like to see a good debate of the facts and opinions but it often is side tracked by a few posters who come here to create issues, not debate. I feel this needs to be lightly moderated a clear set of rules on what will not be tolerated.
Lastly I use the ignore feature once a poster proves they are not about debating ideas but being a nuisance.
What if Trump loses but invites the Russians in to keep him in power? At the same time, he sends troops to destroy the post office. His Antifa thugs riot in the the streets to protest Biden.
Could happen............will wait for CNN to report.
Can not remember where I read it but I thought it was going t take 3-5 days to bring a player onto your team with testing and quarantine procedures. This may slow down the poaching. i would still expect good teams to be planning on how to take advantage of the new practice squad sizes.
Nice write-up. We need to look at the stats, not make emotional decisions. Many people are not used to fact based decision making and this makes the real problem worse. One problem with the stats is poor reporting. Most likely your stats are worse case as many reports show covid being reported if not the driver in the death but was present.
I have not seen a write-up and have no idea what the results would be of a study. People who at at risk for covid (>65) are also at risk for the flu and pneumonia. I suspect those deaths are down with covid. What are the totals of a normal year of flu/pneumonia vs flu/pneumonia/covid.
Again, thanks for a write-up that was not political but there are those who make it so. Use science except when science does not support their position.
So this move wins the SB? Interesting.
So when you weight his contribution/cost vs the current roster/future draft picks/cap space you think this is a winner.
He is a very good player, not a difference maker. Mack is a better player and no rings in Chicago.
If the salary cap was going up next year, I would be more on the trade side. With a potential reduction of $20 million, a holistic approach is required. Trading cap space and picks is not the answer in today's environment.
A 2nd for a 1 year rental is high. Since you can not sign him to a new contract, you may need to let him go or sign him to a second, expensive tag next year. Seems like high risk, moderate reward.
