  1. Sure, that’s a fair point. And as a counterpoint, there are at least eight home games a year, so that’s at least 560,000 seats — that’s a lot of butts. Don’t get me wrong, I recognize tickets are expensive…and the inflation of prices happened rather quickly. But that’s the price we pay for having such a good team. Good teams breed popularity, popularity breeds demand, and high demand breeds premium prices for a premium product. As much as I’d love to take my kids to games, I’d much rather have a good team — I can find infinite ways to share wonderful experiences and create memories with my kids, but a championship-caliber team is a rarity.
  2. I don’t get people saying “There’s folks who wanna take their kid or grandkid to a game, but they can’t afford it.” Obviously 70,000 people were able to afford it — including a sold-out family section. Let’s not act like super wealthy elite 1% are depriving the working folks a chance at tickets. The combined population of Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse is only 600,000. Someone’s filling the stands. Yes, tickets are expensive. So are trips to Disney, restocking the fridge with beer every week, XBox subscriptions, lotto tickets, cable TV, unnecessarily large pickup trucks, addiction to cigarettes, UFC fight night, pumpkin spice lattes, and cheating on your wife. We all make choices.
  3. I saw Tenuta at the airport, along with Dion, Tremaine, and several others. He is an absolute GIANT of a human being. He legitimately made Tremaine Edmunds and Dion Dawkins look small. If he has any athleticism or blocking ability, that’d be…useful.
  4. This is all starting to feel like an SEO takeover…
  5. Can we use some of these surplus picks to draft for the Sabres? I’m new to how the draft works.
  6. Why don’t we just give him the nickname “Breece Hall” and close two threads at once?
  7. Ah, the “Hear Me Out” Double Down. A classic. I’m sold. We should probably replace our coaching staff and GM, too. Ya know…because Internet and stuff.
  8. I think I’ve figured out a solution that keeps the Bills in Buffalo and satisfies the “not with my tax dollars”/“it’s a bad deal” crowd: Get rid of all stadiums and tell them to play football in the grass lot in the apartment complex. It’s cost-efficient, it’s natural grass, and it’s just how you remember it from the good ol’ days. Everybody wins.
  9. Troy Andersen, LB, Montana St. Danny Gray, WR, SMU
  10. I found footage of Gilmore returning to the Bills.
  11. Fixed it for ya. Bills gonna lead the league in takeaways this year. Watch.
  12. What about “former Bills first round picks currently playing on their third team?” Isn’t Shaq Lawson the obvious answer here?
  13. Fitz couldn’t cover his own torso on a 5-degree night in Orchard Park, so I can’t count on him to cover Kelce.
  14. Can he cover Tyreek Hill?
  15. Bojo didn’t cost them the game. That’s just the fantasy of vindictive Bills fans. They lost this game in all three phases, as a team. It’s Jimmy F’ing Garropolo. Sure, the 49ers have a defense, but if you can’t outscore a guy who should have never been more than a backup QB, you deserve to lose.
  16. I can’t believe they didn’t include Duke Williams.
  17. I love this stat: Bills scoring differential vs. AFC East this year: 213-90
  18. Nick Folk is New England’s leading…whatever.
  19. Point of order: Is it proper to call this the first half thread if the Patriots aren’t aware the first half has started?
  20. Buffalo’s third TD scored with 7:16 on the clock. Gotta love that kinda symbolism.
  21. I’ve been having this dream where I’m a dog, and everything around me looks like a fire hydrant. Can someone tell me, professionally, if this means the Bills will win this weekend? I’ve tried Googling it.
  22. I spilled a Zima. That’s kinda the same, right?
  23. I heard they’re not even gonna have commercial timeouts…they just prolong the cold.
