  1. i hope levi brown takes issue with that. and then does something about it.
  2. your fault. maybe you should get a better job.
  3. i'm right with ya, doc i am as optimistic as anyone when it comes to the bills, however my main beef with what i saw last night is that there weren't any instances one can hang their hat on when saying, "NOW we're a different team...NOW we're heading in the right direction." i've been a fan of how gailey and nix have ran the show thusfar, with the exception of the gameday results. to gailey's credit, the offensive playcalling seemed improved (which isn't saying much), but the execution lacked sorely. what was absolutely baffling to me is that (and i know many will question my intelligence on this, but...) trent sucked as bad as ever. my unconditional hope and optimism obviously clouded my judgment, but i was under the impression that this would be trent's year. oops. no evidence of that. so, yeah, i'm angry, disappointed, confused, and a little sleepy. the only truly "optimistic" thing i can say is that it's only the first preseason game of a new regime. and by the time i give up on the bills this year, i can at least get excited about stud qb we'll be drafting in the first round.
  4. i was most disappointed by lee's effort, but it was pretty awful around. no help from the line and should've been thrown away. trent sucks so bad and what's worse is he's the best we got. i think we should throw levi to the wolves. since i have seen the least of him, he must be the savior in the rough! yeah evans needs to make a play on that one.
  5. it does matter to me, but i agree that i trust gailey. but it's obviously trent, obviously.
  6. ps3? i'm flapezoid. we got a league fillin up fast. if anyone's interested let me know
  7. good point, but i see jacksonville as much more likely to move (or vanish in the night) to one of the cities currently making a push for a team. the bills days here may be numbered but i still think we'll have quite a bit of warning before they're gone.
  8. we can't trade a free agent. wood will be our great center. fred jackson doesn't have a lot of trade value. superb owl? i digress.... although joique bell is showing potential, trading fjax or marshawn would be a huge mistake. don't git er done, buddy
  9. you can't tell me what to do but seriously the dean already said it best, there's no real reason to think this would be the last year of bills football. even if ralph dies, there's a lockout, the new cba is unfriendly to smallmarket teams, and the stadium starts to crumble, it'd take more than a couple months to iron out the future of the bills, and in the meantime, the band will play on. all those things would likely contribute to the demise of the bills in buffalo, but we've still got a few years at least. i think it will crystal clear when the bills begin to play their final season in buffalo, so until then, i'm not gonna worry. of course, after we win the superbowl, who on earth would want to move the reigning champs?
  10. i'm also usually skeptical of PFT, good for them. i wonder who the source is. the story was posted as wang was arriving in the waiting room.
  11. Update: it was definitely Wang's hand/thumb It was a quick outpatient procedure He was in n out in about 30 mins Apparently Wang did not know or forgot the name of his trainer which led to a comical moment (it's the guy who looks like moorman) Wang was also accompanied by his dad
  12. my friend is at a doctor's office on sheridan, where ed wang is going in for surgery at 8:30. he said his hands AND legs look fine (no wraps or anything), and that he was slightly limping. my friend didn't really get to talk to wangfor more than a sec, but wang said he's going in for surgery, and it's unrelated to the sprain from otas.
  13. i'm down let's do it. EDIT: "pause"
  14. also, even though i'm all for using all three backs, one thing about a fairly evenly 3-way split of the workload concerns me: marshawn seems to need to "get into the groove" to really be effective, and by limiting his consecutive carries i don't think he's likely to reach his beast-mode potential. i know, i know... all running backs usually are better the more carries they get, but to me, lynch thrives on a lot of carries and is rather mediocre spelling jackson, or when the bills don't feed him the rock regularly.
  15. i'm just going to be happy to see some more blitz packages and no more tofu cover 2 every play.
  16. i haven't been inside yet but i have seen pictures. i will get to know it pretty well as i will be student teaching there this fall. if you're in town for a game - hit me up. there's a pretty big chs contingency with seasons and we tailgate hard.
  17. one thing that the bills have going for them - which is fairly accurate - is the amount of potential (UPSIDE!) for many of their young players. by playing well with those players, their ratings will increase. the thing that sucks is that when you play online, the ratings are static, unless you are playing in franchise mode. you have to wait for EA to adjust the ratings, which they do periodically throughout the season, but those adjustments are based on reality. which is why the final ratings last year had fitz higher than trent, and f jax higher than lynch, etc. and bufftex, you're right, the ratings are more accurate, especially in the sense there are far fewer players that are practically unstoppable. oh man i can't wait - 3 more weeks!!!!!
