  1. sorry all the 6 yd carries up the gut didnt make the highlight reel when dude scores on big 50 yarders to the outside so often
  2. can't even believe there's a discussion. erin andrews is smokin and smells really good (i bumped into her at syracuse). and jenn brown? she doesn't hold a candle to EA but she could still catch the dillsnick. i'd like to paint a map of hawaii on her enormous forehead
  3. I think it's gonna be Dan Williams or maybe Jerry Hughes, but I'd rather they pick an offensive player
  4. if he's undrafted or we can get him in the 7th, i'd be pumped. my buddy from bk alerted me to this guy bc of the ukrainian connection (i'm ukrainian). looking at this tho: http://walterfootball.com/draft2010OT.php i don't know if he'll last that long.
  5. since so many of these picks seem so unlikely to happen, this mock will turn out to be the most accurate when all is said and done. i can see us getting dan williams, but i'm hoping against it. at 9 we need more of a stud and not just anybody that fills a need. I'd rather take spiller or trade down. i don't think that we'll reach in the first round (don't tell PTR i said the r- word) and i hope Nix considers dan williams a reach at this point i'm sick of mocks and glad we only have to wait a few more days to see how it all unfolds. the only reason i checked this one is to see your avatar. thanks for daring to be different
  6. you're right. i'm wrong. besides my bad choice of words, i still think lynch is on his way out and we're going to get spiller, though I'd prefer to see lynch stay
  7. I agree. Spiller looks like the best bet. I am a huge marshawn fan, but I think he's worn out his welcome with the new regime.
  8. I get your point that "reaching" is arbitrary concept. If you got the player you wanted, you should be happy, and while it'd be nice to trade back and get your player AND something else out of it, that doesn't always work out. And you're right that draft "value" has no bearing on performance. But it DOES matter where you draft someone. The rookie contracts almost entirely depend where the player was drafted, especially in the first round.
  9. Thanks for that. I want Spiller more and more each day. I hope that is how the cards fall. I love Lynch, but if he doesn't want to be here- PEACEmode
  10. I wasn't making fun of the south, I just think "get er done..." has a better ring than, "Please, Mr. Nix, would you please do what you can to add Troy Smith to our beloved Bills?" and yeah I guess the Cable Guy popularized the phrase, but it's a pretty common colloquialism that is used in all varities now- not just when talking to a southerner http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=git+er+done i don't remember anyone complaining about the countless, "git er done, ralph" or "git er done, russ" etc. that have been all over the board the past couple of years even tho buddy has "never claimed to be the smartest guy in the room," i happen to think he's pretty intelligent regarding football
  11. Git 'er done Buddy! DUDE WON THE HEISMAN! There's no shame in not unseating Joe Flacco.
  12. he was pretty effin good in college. i know that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but looking at the rest of our roster I think he's got a damn good shot to maybe be a starter
  13. good point- i conveniently overlooked that because I'm in denial
  14. I used this same logic to convince my buddy to renew his season tickets despite his extreme phobia that if the Bills sign Vick and he has tickets both his girlfriend and mom would never let him hear the end of it, and essentially would make him choose between them and the Bills. Girlfriend would be a tough but manageable task, but I don't think I anyone wants to disrespect their mother over the Bills. Actually, I take that back cuz I've read too many posts here, but Icertainly wouldn't piss my mom off like that.
  15. As far as I can tell, all signs point to Gaither staying put, and I think the rumors to the contrary are a product of writers/bloggers manufacturing off-season news. I agree it's kinda funny to talk about X year's plans with so many unknowns now, but it's also fun to speculate. I think Buffalo has picked a long-term GM- Doug Whaley. I have a feeling he might have a lot more sway in the organization than you would think an Asst GM would have normally. Why bring him in if you aren't grooming him to take over in a couple of years?
  16. I see your point and I assume competition factors in to players' and coaches' desire to be in Buffalo, but I have to believe the most important factor at this point is whether you believe the organization as a whole is as close as Buddy & Co. claim. And seemingly few outside the organization agree. If you look at all components of the organization from a "what have you done for me lately?" standpoint, although they have recently made a ton of changes - we have yet to "see the baby," and that is what will improve the perception of the team in the eyes of the rest of the league.
  17. i can't imagine much anything better than this. although as much as i would love to have mike williams i would prefer young or fox in the 5th, and grab naaman roosevelt in the 7th if he's there.
  18. I agree. Taking Clausen or Colt wouldn't make an immediate impact and we need players that will be starting from day one, or at least making a push to do so. I'm not sold on Edwards or Brohm, but there's a long list of QBs who haven't hit their stride until after few years of growing pains. I'll be the first to admit that you need a good to great QB do do some damage in this league, but that isn't the only thing a team needs, and in the Bills current state we have more glaring deficiencies.
  19. i agree that marshawn is (hopefully was) an idiot and that he's not overrated at all. I don't agree with the comparison to lewis, haynesworth, vick, and roethlisberger. those are guys who have committed or been involved with serious violent crimes. it seems to me marshawn has made some easily avoidable mistakes, but are certainly not on the level of the others, and i wouldn't call him a scum bag. i'm sure there's a large number of nfl players who smoke weed and own guns, they just are smarter about not getting caught. as far as the "hit and run" incident, that could happen to anybody and i believe his side of it. have you ever drove down chippewa at 2 in the morning? there's tons of people running through traffic and bumping into cars... anyway, i hope that somebody, maybe even freddy, has taken him under their wing and taught him that his career won't last unless he smartens up. and maybe he has- he hasn;t been in trouble since his suspension
  20. i would at least bring in shawn andrews and feel him out...no bruno
  21. YAY! a sensible reply! Except I really hope we don't get rid of Marshawn. Don't get me wrong, I love Freddy, and I know he doesn't have the same type of NFL mileage as most backs his age, but he is not a long-term answer. He has maybe one more good year left. Basically, Freddy had ONE really good season, and Marshawn had ONE off year. For those who forgot, Marshawn was an animal in 2007 and 2008. I think he can be coached up to a Pro Bowler again. We can't afford to trade him while we're rebuilding. I would prefer an LT, NT, or QB at #9, but if Nix thinks Spiller is a can't-miss talent, then I'd be happy with the prospect of maybe the best RB tandem in the league for YEARS to come. Especially with Gailey primed to run the ball down the opposition's throat.
  22. beat me to it! and i've found patrick moran to be reliable
  23. it doesn't prove anything yet- but the baltimore sun was the source of the report that he left w/o a deal, now they say he's reached an agreement after leaving. looks like he's a bill in my book edit: i realize they're just quoting espn, who is quoting schefter...
  24. http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/rav...with_bills.html in case anyone's unsure
