  1. He doesn't have to be a miracle worker. He just has to continue doing what he has done as an Oline coach. If he does that, the line will be just fine this year. And I'm a guy that believes they haven't addressed the line in a way they should have.
  2. This is exactly where I am at. I was not a fan of Bobby Johnson and thought he was one of the weakest hires under McDermott. I think there will be a big difference in Oline play this year simply because of Kromer. While I am one who believes there should be more investment in the Oline, I also believe we currently have the players to be in the upper third of the NFL. I am truly looking forward to seeing what Kromer does with this unit.
  3. And I'm sure you will continue finding ways to turn any thread into an "Edmunds sucks" thread...
  4. He is incredibly smart and instinctive, fast, plays bigger than he is, and produces against the run, as a pass rusher (3rd in school history in sacks), and in coverage.
  5. Who knows? How many linebackers in the NFL can cover Kielce? He’s virtually the same size as Milano, faster, and was 11th in the nation in coverage stops. I’m willing to wait and see before passing judgement
  6. The insight is he was never going to be the pick for the Bills…
  7. You have an amazing ability to be wrong about absolutely everything.
  8. When you do, the only thing you will have is something that gives you a statistical breakdown of how many RBs are successful (based on your definition of success) in the NFL and how many are not. Interesting group data; however, it will have absolutely no predictive ability. There are so many variables that go into given outcome and the problem lies not only in identifying those variables, but in weighting each of those variables. That is why there are so few predictive tools, regarding human behavior, that have any kind of validity to them, and even the best of them can only provide some sort of "ballpark" conclusions. Look, I would not be upset in the least if the Bills pick Breece Hall tonight. But I have no idea what kind of success he will have in the NFL. You can delve into data for running backs to your heart's desire, but, in the end, you will be left with nothing more than your own personal belief that he will be an elite producer in the NFL, nothing more. You may very well be right. However, as of right now, there is absolutely no statistical support for it. It is nothing more than an opinion.
  9. Then stop trying to pass off what you have done as anything of statistical significance...or even something from which you can draw any kind of predictive conclusions. Because it isn't...and you can't
  10. I don't think so. I believe it is either a sack or a penalty, not both.
  11. He pretty much told you. It was his list of favorite games and he wasn't old enough to have seen the AFL championship games
  12. IMO, the two greatest areas of need on the DL were (1) run defense and (2) a pass rushing difference maker. Miller checks off the difference maker. As far as the rush defense, Rousseau actuall graded out very high in run D, the interior rush defense should be much better with Settle and Jones, and Miller is not just an exceptional pass rusher. He has consistently graded high in run D as well. I think the addition of Miller will improve the games of Oliver and Rousseau, and I think an improved Dline takes more pressure off the secondary.
  13. The same can be said for every great QB - that is why teams so desperately try to find them...
  14. Clearly, even as a rookie, Allen was far better at playing football than you are at evaluating it...
  15. I wonder if Allen's incredible ability to mask serious deficiencies along the Oline has distorted the lens through which this FO, and many fans, look at the Oline? Even when they were playing "well" down the stretch, there were real breakdowns in protection, and any player, not names Josh Allen, could rarely find holes to run through. There were two drives in the KC Div game where this team faced 3rd and 2. Both times they chose to have Allen hand the ball off. The two handoffs netted zero yards and a punt on 4th down. Sure would have been nice to have a strong Oline then, or when Feliciano got blown up at the end of the Titans game on 4th and 1, or when...oh well, no need to go down the list....
  16. Particularly since nobody seems to care about putting together an offensive line that can actually open holes for a RB....
  17. Brown was pretty inconsitent through the year, having some really good games and some really bad games. The two playoff games epitomized that when he had his best game in pass protection in the NE WC game and then followed it up with his worst game in pass protection in the KC Div game. With that said. I do think he has a high ceiling and I believe Kromer can really elevate his game. Bates only played in five games (including playoffs) where he had 50+ snaps. He didn't have more than 10 in any of the other 14 games. He played pretty well in 3 of the 5, but struggled some in the last game against the Jets and in the KC Div game, where he was as bad as Brown in pass protection. But I think he has the ability to step in and start and is a great backup to have. I hope they retain him. As we witnessed all last season, you need to have depth along the Oline.
