  1. I just hope we don't lose the two healthy starting O-linemen we have left. Is the game being carried by anyone?
  2. Gaither is a mess right now. If all else were equal, why woudl they trade a elite LT for a third string corner?
  3. I expect little tomorrow. We can only muster two starting players on the O-Line, so the QB that does best tomorrow is the one that can survive. I really didn't fear having a young O-Line and OT's going into the year. But when 3/5ths of your line cannot practice hard or play, C'mon. This is an issue as our depth is non existant. I'd feel better if the young guys could have practiced hard and played. They need the time desperately and it's not happening.
  4. Watched him last night. Works hard and does get some separation. Not overly gifted physically and I guess the only way to find out is to play him. My gut says he's a number 3 reciever on other teams, but the list is long of players I've misjudged.
  5. Or at least Green. I have little fear of LT. Valid point however. Sanchez doesn't have to be great if your line and running game is dictating the game. I think that's the formula Chan is trying to instill here for this season.
  6. Whatever, Same rehash all nat'l pubs are writing. I don't take offense. They have to fill a lot of space and don't have the time or inclination to see for themselves and regurgitate conventional wisdom. Still we have a lot to prove and until we do this is what we'll hear. The argument that we cannot field more than two starters on the O-line for the first pre season game is valid and all of us shouldl be concerned. D Bell is green enough without taking part in TC. So I get it. I think we'll surprise some people but until this team reflects the toughness of the Coarch and GM and starts to find some success on the field, we'l hear more of this. So just let it roll over you and let's focus on improving.
  7. Just got back. I agree for the most part. All the QB's had zip on the ball. Fitzy fired a laser in the endzone. D looked half speed tonight. Maybin didn't get close all night. Ellis looks like he's ready to push Kelsay. A couple of whopper punts from Moorman.
  8. Well I read the whole thread and I can honestly say I don't get the OP's point - hence a pointless thread. Of course the HC is going to have his coach's back when asked in an interview! He didn't call a press conference - he was asked. What the Hell?
  9. It's hard to raise a daughter in the NFL.
  10. Beat me to it! But all three? Couldn't just Lynch be in the deal? We need to save the other two to trade for a pro bowl LT!
  11. Trying to get this straight. SF drafted to upgrade but we drafted on need and the inference is that this nuance in how we drafted somehow means SF is smart and Buffalo is lame? Even for a troll this is just fricken' stupid post.
  12. From the short camp time I've seen of Stupar, he mows down defense when blocking and catches everything in reach. All around player. Nelson looks like a receiver in person and blocks like one. Could be Chan's way of sending a message that TE's gotta block.
  13. Why? When many on the TSW have solved both issues already. Trade our 3rd string RB for their pro bowl LT! Now that this nonsense has been offered, please spare us that gem of a post in this thread. Also, does anyone think for a minute the Chargers won't settle this contract by opening day of the season????
  14. Nice piece John. Contract year or not, I'm anxious to see what he does in this defense. I always thought he was a bit undersized for SS given the task of covering TE's. But there are other SS's about his size that are effective. Let's see and approach it with an open mind. It's a new regime, new defense and new era. I think most deserve the benefit of the doubt.
  15. That's a lot of DB's but that's a hard area to cut. I don't mind multiple threads like this as one dedicated one gets too cumbersome to follow. Your list is reasonable, but I don't think Kelsay survives if Ellis keeps playing like he has. He's got more speed than Kelsay by a long shot. I'm checking practice out on Wednesday. As for other "here's my roster" lists that follow this, guess away but PLEASE don't say Marshawn is not on the final roster because we traded him for a starting LT. That will instantly dissolve any facade that you know what you are talking about.
  16. The article is reasonable until proven otherwise. Good news on Green. They think he can be okay if he cuts the penalies down. I just can't escape the fact that, as PTR puts it, we one 6 games with a O line of the week last year. I gotta believe we will imrprove this year.
  17. Who's doing that? The guy is just saying here's what we got and make the best of it. It's okay to think positive. Bottom line is we are not going to rebuild in a year. Too many holes. Chan and Buddy are building they way they want to and that doesn't include a huge upgrade in OT this year. You look at that and say Christmas is ruined and all is lost. Some of us look at it and say maybe Chan can come up with plans to minimize that deficiency and still be a viable offense. It's not pollyanna to think that possilbe. I have reservations but I'm not going to spend every post p*ssing and moaning about it.
  18. Ratliff looking good. Guess 300 lb NT's can be effective.
  19. We're talking football - not life and death. The post is saying think positive because that's what we got. Green, Meredeth and Bell - that's how we're going to roll Bro so deal with it. It's football - relax.
  20. I'll stand down! Git'er done Buddy! I didn't see your post until after my rant. Solid post!
