  1. What, do you work for WGR? Quit making excuses for a "sports" station that does food drafts instead of talking sports. If they are bored with covering an NFL team, move on to cover high school soccer in Ohio or get on a morning zoo music station and quit denying us sports fans of decent sports talk.
  2. Jesus you're as gullible as Malone is a hypocrite. You write like you live in a Willy Wonka movie. The NBA is hardly the Boy Scouts of America. And hey don't edit HOF speeches. Malone is a hypocrite and bailed on his duty as a father. Deal with it pollyanna.
  3. Yah think? I'm with Cardinal. It's crazy to bail on this kid in his first NFL game learning a new position to boot. What the Hell is wrong with some posters?
  4. First off, methinks you are crackerdogs crazy and two: do some fricking reading. Malone bailed on Demetrius and didn't even acknolwedge him until Demetrius was in college and still has no role in his life. Malone is a hypocrite.
  5. Me as well. Look, Trent was the same guy last night. If he pukes up again on Thursday, stop the excuses and let's move on. We're rebuilding and why not with someone with some upside.
  6. There's two more QB's on the roster. If we are to suck, let's suck with someone new who may have upside. As for all phases of the game, I'm refering to offense, defense and special teams. In each area we just plain stunk. Bright spots in there, sure. But overall it was a pitiful effort.
  7. Joe's good and not prone to overreacting. Solid article and one everyone should read. It puts the coming season into perspective. We are not a good team and have no place to go but up, we hope.
  8. Trent has made no gains at all since last year. He looked the same and made the same poor choices. i agree the line sucked. It sucked for Fitzy as well but as much as his arm is shaky, Fitz fires the ball and tries to lead. Early on, I could see what Chan was thinking.....a power running game and three back sets with a speedster like CJ could make Trent serviceable. But if we have to rely on this guy to do more than hand off and pass now and again, we are in for yet another year like last year. If we are going to suck during this rebuild, I am leaning towards sucking someone other than Trent. Thank God we play again on Thursday. We can't suck as bad in every phase of the game as we did last night.
  9. Sure we can! Package Hardy and Maybin. That's a #1 and #2 pick.....that outta do it.... Freddy and Marshawn were looking good until they both went down. What the Hell is it about our team? Five of 11 starters on offense are injured.
  10. One of the few postives from last night. I agree with whoever said he's everything Hardy was supposed to be. Time to move on from Hardy.
  11. I have to agree with my nay-saying friend here. I was disappointed. Every phase of the game, offense, defense and special teams were awful. Injuries continue to confound us and once again Trent just cannot lead in adversity. It's preseason. They are learning a new offense and defense. I get it. But I am concerned that half our starters are injured and they are shaky to begin with. They need to play and play a lot. We know the team is lacking talent. That was evident. But this coaching staff needs to identify who can play and do it soon. If the talent level is not sufficient, it is time to look to other rosters for help to at least be presentable while we rebuild. Please don't rest the wounded and expect them to blossom opening day. I truly hope the QB battle is indeed still a contest. I saw no growth in Trent at all last night. So, on to Thursday. It can't get worse than last night......I hope.
  12. Not panicking yet but wow, that was pathetic. I expected better. Every phase of the game was plain awful. I'm a big supporter of new regime but this was a terrible start.
  13. Wow. Brutal. By any measure that was just awful. Not going to panic because we can't possibly suck that badly on offense defense and special teams game after game. Horrible pass defense by linebackers and corners. Reggie Corner was pathetic. Trent....he really has a collapsing window to show us something. Trying to keep from making this too big a deal but man, I'm disappointed.
  14. C'mon MPL, you don't have a positive bone in your body. Some folks just are born with the world view that everything just sucks and some things suck more than others.....and that happens to be you. If they found a cure for cancer tomorrow you'd say why'd it take so fricken' long and what about AIDS???? I'm okay with your daily downward spiral posts, it but please don't tell us that your posts are strategic to "balance the board" ....really now. You're a naysayer and that's how you are so don't apologize for it...celebrate your dourness and worry about what happens if the Bills start winning. I can imagine it now....they won by only 10 freakin' points because the line sucks......... Just sayin'.
  15. Maybe Schopp and the lapdog can do a fruit draft during the game. They are pathetic. They hate the Bills and I really think are not so hot on sports anymore. Time to move on boys and either go to Fox as political screamers or to a morning zoo radio format. What we need is a sports station that talks sports.....at least during football season!
  16. Or not pass the ball unless we can run it.....works both ways
  17. I'm feeling good about the D line. Not real comfortable with our LB corp. ILB's look okay but the OLB's are shaky at best.
  18. Great list and with that many greats (some I forgot about) I can't quibble with the positions of any of them. Andre was a great receiver. Tough over the middle and great run after catch. Great size and quickness and as the article says, was very good for a long time. It's an honor for Andre to be included in the same list with those names. Thanks for posting that.
  19. It's easy to put modern players ahead of the old timers, but if you think Butkis wasn't the best you probably never saw him play. His intensity and power and focus on destroying anyone in his way was what a linebacker was all about. He defined the position and there was nobody tougher, better or more durable in his era. Like LT, when he was on the field, the offence took note of where he was and feared to go there.
  20. Okay, got it. Now I'm focused on beating the Vikes for our man Buddy. I did think your thoughts on national media bashing to be spot on.
  21. And you think from what we knew during the draft that Clausen was head shoulders better than TE or Brohm and warranted a high pick? Really? Just because we have QB issues doesn't mean you burn a high pick on a guy that has as many holes in his game as the guys we have - who were both bright young prospects two and five years ago.
  22. Well done! Look folks, sports media are going to gang up on us and say we suck until we no longer suck. Look past the inaccuracies and the stupid things they say and just remember....win and it stops. So as Marv used to say (and I like it better than than the baby reference) Don't tell me how rough the waters are, just bring the boat home.
  23. Disparaging remarks on Nix aside, this about sums it up. Take it to the bank that most sports "journalists" do little if any homework and just ape what the conventional wisdom is....and the CW is that we have sucked for years and why expect anything else. Just win and that changes. Even then, the sports media will not correctily identify why we are winning and will be just as innaccurate. They can't help it, they're lame and we just have to suffer them. Bottom line, win.
  24. I watched him in practice and he didn't look like he was in a high chair compared to the other three. He's got a live arm and showed some touch as well. I actually thought he made ball delivery decisions faster than TE and Brohm, but that may be becuase he's not going through the full progression. I really look forward to seeing him in game conditions. I would not be stunned if he emerged this year.
