I would say Sully, but he really isn't a journalist as much as he is a commentator/talking head/pundit (bad one albeit) so I'm going to vote Peter King. Lazy and repeats himself in most pieces he does. Never original and just pukes out the conventional wisdom Shameless homer to boot.

How much "game film" do you need to see of him lugging ten yards behind a tight end running free with a catch or never coming close to the QB on a rush? Jesus use your eyes and head...he's not a OLB and will never be. To Caveman - good point on the nature of the contract, but it'is still too rich for what we are getting.

How many threads on this are we going to have? Look, there's no argument that can convince me that this guy is worth the money and extension he just received. He cannot play OLB, cannot cover and is just too slow to rush the passer or cover. That's just the cold hard facts. Keep him for this year, maybe a one year extension as a back-up for next but we need to improve that position and not waste salary cap dollars on someone who has zero future in our system. Discussion over.

Guys, thread topic is wrong. It makes no sense to give Kelsay a new deal. He's not a linebacker, never will be and let's get by the year with him and move on. This deal is just stupid.

Okay. I have stood by the FO and still do...but I got nothin' on this. The guy has to go, not be extended. Maybe there are incentives, like if you come within 10 yards of a tight end as he's catching the ball you get a bonus.....and if you push him out of bounds with less than a 40 yard gain you get more.....

Have you watched any of the games with Trent at QB? Really or are you just stirring things up? It's hard to toss an INT when your repertoire consists of five yard dump offs...maybe a ten yarder underneeath when it's 4th and 20...oh and when it's time for a Hail Mary, you run out of bounds. I could give a rats *ss what the media says (DiCeasare has it right though - love to see Sully use reason and thought like Bob) I don't care how it was reported, or what they say about Chan...I only care that Trent is gone and we don't have to suffer one more effing game of him spitting up his Maypo instead of leading this team. Good post. We don't agree on Jerry. I truly beleive he hates being here and hates the team and hates what he does for a living anymore and this is how it acts out - he thinks it's his ticket to what is next and he's likely correct. I'll repeat my last 10 posts..... Bench Green and play Meredith or Wang. Bench Kelsay and play Maybin and Coleman....guys with upside. Lets' start seeing less of Stroud and more of Carrington. I want to see more of Troup. Brace is coming along for the Pats...play the kids wiht upside and not those on the way out. Just do it and let's take our lumps now and build for next year.

How is running into the LT and getting wrapped up and put down on every pass rush attempt value to this team. I had high hopes this kid would develop and would be a danger if moved around a bit. I still say play him and let's see if there is any development. If not, I'm with you, it would be addition by subtraction.

Bell should be benched tomorrow. Hang is not the problem and until there is a stud to replace him I wish people would lay off him.
