A decade from now, history likely reflects that Biden, and not Trump, was the President who committed the felony crime, deserving of legitimate impeachment. Of course, President Biden likely gets away with it and suffers no consequences. I think he drops out of the 2024 race by the end of the year and America and its media conveniently forget about him. "Let the tired old man rest!" they'll say.

Do the Bills Practice as Hard as the Pats? Should They?
dpberr replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Patriot Way to me was an emphasis on reducing both the mental and emotional errors when the games counted. You rarely saw a Patriot lose their cool and get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. You also rarely saw the mental gaffes. That was a big part of why they were extremely tough to beat. The hard practices were likely as a means to reduce apprehension and hesitancy. Getting hit with the full force of a grown man is a shocking experience to the body, and it's something that your brain and body have to be accustomed to happening. -
All ESPN has to do is make segments like this. 8 minutes and 34 seconds of great television.

What led me to believe it's the dreaded slowdown is that estrogen acts as a fuel to thyroid cancer, which she had sometime ago. She's likely been advised not to take HRT and risk the potential spread to other soft tissue in the body. He was, in turn, likely in a relationship with a beautiful woman that increasingly had no interest in being touched as the hormones fade. With no children to be impacted, why be roommates?

She's 51. He's 46. Menopause (and manopause) takes no prisoners on relationships. My completely unsubstantiated speculation is the well ran dry on one end or the other.

An interesting coffee table book would be the homes of the Bills players . No real commentary other than a picture of the house, and name of player. You figure with Josh Allen or Von Miller money, you live in a place like Dana Point. But what if you're Boogie Basham or Dean Marlowe, or James Cook on a rookie deal?

Why is Tyrod Taylor not more revered in the Bills fan base?
dpberr replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think his entire career came down to that Jacksonville playoff game because it was an inflection point for the franchise to be in it, and to boot, a very winnable game. I think TT gets the Fitzy treatment if the Bills win that game. -
More players to receive season long gambling suspensions this week.
dpberr replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, they'd all suddenly take up an interest in minor league baseball. 😀 -
Voted "not bad." Sure, it would have been great if the Bills won them all. I think fans generally underappreciate how utterly dominant the Bills were in the 1990s. You're very unlikely to see a team go to four consecutive SBs ever again. The Bills went to playoffs in eight of the ten years in that decade. It's also a symbol of how great the NFL used to be IMO - when teams could build teams of great players vs. today where you get to have one great player.

I really like the mini-Buffalo logo. That is sharp.

Submarine meant to view Titanic wreck loses contact at bottom of sea
dpberr replied to Nextmanup's topic in Off the Wall
The ARA San Juan, an Argentinian diesel single-hull sub, imploded at just 3,000 meters in 2017. A USN Seawolf sub, with a state-of-the-art, classified hull design, has a crush depth of 2,400 meters. This dude took a barely tested carbon-fiber hull down to 13,000 meters. These billionaires had to be on some sort of drugs to get in that rickety-ass submersible. -

dpberr replied to Nextmanup's topic in Off the Wall
From what I understand about the sub, it had no redundancy in operations - there was no plan B for power or communication. It had crude design - controlled by a PlayStation controller and navigated by text message. Dangerously naive. It all sounds like a very bad idea. There are fishing boats that hit the lake with more robust design. If they happen to survive, there's no way they should be permitted to do it again. -
What the Bills need to do to take the next step
dpberr replied to HaldimandBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Play every game as if if they burned the ships behind them. That goes for the coaches too. -
Is this year make or break for McDermott?
dpberr replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think his seat is hot. He's 2001 Tony Dungy to me. Another lackluster playoff performance could do it. It's a Super Bowl window year with a Super Bowl roster. -
Jobs that retirees I know have: Street sweeper operator Very short haul truck driver (back and forth between warehouses) Grocery store stocker Grocery store cashier Lab courier (picking up bloodwork from labs) Prescription delivery Equipment rentals clerk (he teaches homeowners how to use the equipment and also not kill themselves) Range safety officer/firearms instructor Small engine mechanic Generally, in my area, there's a niche of jobs that 1) teens used to do 2) people who now work at warehouses used to do 3) simply can't find someone wanting part-time work in that particular job - like the trucking and street sweeper. Grocery stores in my area will give a retiree all the hours they could possibly want.

What’s up with Gambling int he NFL amongst NFL Players?

His career has mystified me in that if a HC position was the ultimate career goal, why didn't he go the Pete Carroll/Lovie Smith route and go to the college ranks to hone those skills? Pete Carroll was a much better coach at Seattle than he was in NE because of his stint at USC. I feel Leslie Frazier waited too long and that window has closed.

How will the defense be different this year?
dpberr replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
With SD being an understudy of Jim Johnson, I'd expect: 1. Misdirection all the time. No more predictable "oh we'll just rush 4...."" 2. Many more blitzes from the secondary and linebackers. 3. Many more opportunities for interceptions. -
DeSantis For President in 2024?
dpberr replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think Trump is vulnerable. I also don't think DeSantis is going to be the candidate to overtake him. -
DeSantis For President in 2024?
dpberr replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think the DeSantis campaign is DOA already, regardless of the money being thrown at him. Looks a lot like Jeb Bush 2016. Flat. Made a bad choice to start taking advice from the Bush crew. I won't be surprised to see a candidate like Tim Scott do better than him in the early primaries. -
Voted lower. If he wanted to play for a lousy team, he would have stayed with the Cardinals. With that in mind, the legitimate SB contending teams have no money, so he'll take a lower 1-year deal to try for a ring and enter 2024 FA for the new contract. It's harder to get in the HOF without at least one championship to your name. That's at least what I'd do. 😃

Bucs, Cardinals and the Commanders have already raised the white flag on the 2023 season.
