  1. The NFL should fire Ed Mangan but he'll likely keep that job for another 20 years because the NFL operates like the Soviets at Chernobyl. There's no fault because there's no fault to see. The NFL is also at fault because Mangan knows baseball turf - turf that's in the hot, humid, southern heat of Atlanta. He knows absolutely nothing about what they tried to do in Arizona - growing it outside in dry, but not summer desert conditions, and then moving it inside and re-installing it indoors.
  2. I love the pitch clock. Next up: An NFL-style salary cap too to make the league much more competitive. 10 teams are spending $100 million or less in 2023, and 14 are spending below the league average.
  3. I'd do it - 1-2 year deal. A fan here posted a statistic that showed Wagner had as many interceptions in one season as a Ram (in a new defense) as Edmunds has in his entire career. That was interesting. I'm inclined to do this sort of deal to take advantage of what's likely Von Miller's last year of playing football at a "great" level and that it'd be great if the Bills got into a Super Bowl (or win one) before the new stadium opens. I saw this year as an all-in year and given the disappointment of the 22 season, the 23 season is even more desperate. If I were the Pegulas, I'd want everyone in OBD feeling like it's Super Bowl or else this year. No more "aww shucks, we'll work harder!" crap.
  4. I do. I try not to create potential for a crash or road rage incident that I have to deal with or someone else behind me has to deal with. I'll take the 15 seconds to let them in.
  5. Out of any player on the market this year, I feel he will be the most disappointed by the interest he receives from teams. Like Aaron Rodgers-level disappointment as he fell to 24th in the 2005 draft. I don't think the Ravens are interested, and I suspect teams know about whatever health issues he has that have been kept under wraps. IMO, I think his body is toast insofar as it being able to handle the rigors of playing in the NFL. The offers will be heavy on incentives, light on anything guaranteed.
  6. I'd nominate Bryce Paup for his 1995 tour de force. 1995 DPOY 1995 Sacks leader (17.5) (4th highest total in the entire decade)
  7. Long time Spurs fan through famine, feast and famine once again. Like the Bills, I follow the team, not the league. The game has gotten slower with a lot more jogging up/down the court and heaving up 3 pointers. I loathe that players can force trades like they do. Like the NFL, it'd be a better product with less teams.
  8. Went with B. Robinson. Certainly not a practical pick. The game is pivoting back to more rush offense, and you can either draft a star RB or star OL to make the Bills rushing attack better. I opted for the star potential in Robinson. I'd rather draft the blue chip talent at RB than sign it in FA with a player with more mileage on the body.
  9. Seeing James O'Keefe getting forced out of Project Veritas for their episode on Pfizer tells you a couple things. Pfizer is protected by the uniparty. The information in that "episode" was likely 100% correct which is why it was A) buried in the media cycle and B) steps taken to prevent future curious inquires into Pfizer. Back to regularly scheduled programming on partisan politic stories.
  10. There are linebackers in this draft that I'd argue are better than T. Edmunds. I think some of them have better football instincts coming out of college than he did. My criticism of Edmunds is that he's 70% amazing athlete, 30% football player, and he lacks the football instincts that makes for a superstar linebacker. He plays with less hesitation now, years later as he understands the game more. Linebacker is a position where you want more instinct, more understanding of the game.
  11. I don't think the Bills have any intention whatsoever of tagging/extending/signing Jordan Poyer. They've had the opportunity to work out a contract with him for some time, and you never got the impression the team was all that eager to do it.
  12. I agree. I think the team likes the healthy JP, not so much the injured JP.
  13. I don't see any of these players being on the 2023 team.
  14. It's about even IMO. Hodgins is a slow receiver but with sure hands/concentration. He can take advantage of soft zone schemes, but on man/man he'll be covered. He could turn into an excellent slot receiver, especially if he can be cagey like Beasley is and just get open. Davis has speed to beat man coverage but doesn't have the hands/concentration. Since you can't teach speed, you take that and hopefully teach the catching.
  15. Off on this one. I predicted this in our PPP thread on the midterms several months ago. If you're interested, I'm sure you can go find it. On cue, ChiGoose also said I was wrong at that time about my prediction. Guess we'll see.
  16. While this isn't part of the "plan", the Democrats have every intention of replacing him in the Senate with his wife within the first year. With a Democrat governor in PA, it's easily done as easily said.
  17. Referees should be full-time, with year round support. In the offseason, they are working USFL games and studying the game. Building a back bench/pipeline of officiating staff is yet another benefit of the NFL establishing some sort of minor league system.
  18. They should try a non-music halftime show. I think the music acts are tired. 1. Magician 2. Comedy 3....Mime (always a hit) 4. NFL makes a 15 minute film like BMW Films has done with "The Hire" series 5. Airshow
  19. I think there is off-field information with EB that resembles a large, dirty iceberg that will get exposed and it'll put everyone involved in a poor light. I don't buy the "well that's Andy Reid's offense" jazz - NFL teams would take a shot on EB if legal would let them. A guy who coordinates an offense that's won 2 Super Bowls isn't exactly the intern.
  20. The NFL disappointed me with the crap field conditions. I don't know if it was the sod they grew or the painted logos, but somebody screwed that field up..
  21. It was a stale performance. She was a surprising pick because she hadn't performed in years. Today, I think of her more for her clothing business.
  22. Master class in coaching by the Chiefs. Just like the Bills discovered, play that soft ass zone against KC and you'll lose.
  23. Disappointed. Needs some tweaking. Wary of OBD doubling down on flawed strategy out of allegiance to "process" and colleagues. "This is the way we've always done it" is the title of many tales of organizational failure. Instead of hiring friends, they need to hire the "arsonist" to pressure test their thought process and strategy. I would relish the Bills temporarily hiring a defensive coordinator that isn't friends with, or worked with anyone at OBD, and give them a hammer and let them contest every line of the Bills defensive situational strategy this offseason.
  24. I wrote that news article September 29, 2022. The professional demolition of the pipelines was confirmed by how clean the scene was when someone bothered to finally go take a look at it. Just another conspiracy theory telling the news months before mainstream media decides to tell it.
  25. Tinkering around with safeties coaches suggests Frazier is back for next season. No matter what happens this offseason this will be the most disappointing news for Bills fans. It's disappointing that the Bills define a successful season as feasting on a largely mediocre league and getting punched in the face by the 1-2 decent teams come playoffs.
