  1. Just get "your" guy, Beane. If you have to trade up to 2, then do that. If you can get him at 12, then stay...but just get your guy.
  2. Guys get cut in the spring that can be serviceable, and I am sure they will address in draft at least once. Least of my worries behind QB, LB, Oline.
  3. I like Cadet too. A doc friend of mine said his injury (a dislocation) was actually much better from a "speed of recovery" standpoint versus other ankle injuries including full tears. The fact the docs popped it back into place and had him in an air cast on the field also helped. The average joe full recovery time from that type of injury is ~3 months. Most common average joe cause of that injury? freaking motorcycle accidents. NFL guys play a tough sport.
  4. Regardless of what team Shaq is on this year, it's a GIGANTIC year for him as a pro. If Beane were to move him, I'd much prefer the "Cordy Glenn" method where you package him to move up in a round. If you look at the 'point charts' we ended getting 2nd round value for Cordy. For example, maybe Shaq + #12 can get you into top 7 w/o parting ways with #22.
  5. Totally worth a new thread.
  6. "Winning the offseason"
  7. Two year deal is the perfect setup for AJ and McBeane. Perfect.
  8. I just don't see why Eagles would move him for anything less than a King's ransom which would include a 1st rounder. He was just the MVP of the SB and there is no guarantee Wentz will be 100% ready to go at the start of the season. He's the best backup - in a way - in the league because he knows the system, etc.
  9. Rookie is going to start day one...or it's MVPeterman time!
  10. Totally fair. And he was banged up a bit for part of his career and had to adjust to two d schemes in two years.
  11. I think this is worthy of a bump. I have to think there are many franchises that value Shaq. He's a guy drafted to play in a Rex-style D. May have more value that we think.
  12. Food for thought: Shaq Lawson possibly has a ton of value to some other front offices. A ton. Beane could sweeten a deal with him versus a pick and I don't think I'd hate it.
  13. What's not to like? It's a clear indication this front office is going to get a QB in a seemingly QB-rich draft. They are also gutting the roster of bloated Whaley contracts.
  14. No way. Probably a 4th at best.
  15. Measureables look good on paper, but he was w/o a team for a reason, no?
  16. That's what MVPeterman is for. But I hear you.
  17. Price is just going to be way too much. That is the catch-22. If you get it right, pay a king's ransom, it really doesn't matter what you give up. If you miss, you set franchise back 5 years, get fired, but we'll all still be here. That said, if he's a franchise and all-league guy for 10+ years? I'd give up both of our firsts plus next year's without question.
  18. Even if the HC or front office didn't want him anymore, you can't just throw him away for zero impact roster players this coming year. Can a 4th rounder be impactful? Maybe. The '19 2nd? Probably. A guarantee on either or both? No. They could draft two busts and literally give him away. Sure, both of the draft picks KC gets could hit, but the odds of that are long, and significantly longer to get a guy as good as Peters is today. Complete fleecing and well done by the Rams. Never let emotions be part of negotiations, kids.
  19. Whatever their plan is, I am always very skeptical about any reports at this time of year. They are all playing poker to some degree. Without knowing how the draft will fall, it's nearly impossible to have a definitive plan.
  20. My farts smelling like strawberries is more likely than this, or any mock at this point.
  21. there is a very good chance they are changing their name to the Jacksonville St. Dougs from here on out too. Connect the dots.
  22. Oh dear sweet baby jesus. Not again.
  23. The biggest question mark is really about Luck. I think where there's smoke there's fire wrt his shoulder. Even if he is medically cleared, I can't imagine he'll be NFL-ready right away. He hasn't been throwing (or lifting for that matter) in many months. Huge issue. I even wonder what his value is to other teams at the moment.
