  1. Thank you for this thread! Glad to see Josh is looking like healthy Josh again
  2. Lions all day! Would love to have a Bills vs Lions Super Bowl. 2 franchises that desperately need a W. Plus my best friend is a diehard lions fan from Michigan
  3. If our Bills weren’t the already cursed Bills who lost 4 straight super bowls, “lost” because of the music city miracle, 13 seconds away from being the Super Bowl favorites in the classic KC fiasco then I may be a little worried. But this may just be the icing on the cake for finally getting us over the SB hump…Go Josh and Go Bills! I may actually buy my first madden game in the past 10 years
  4. Although I don’t agree with him on our O line movement because we did make some quality adds, he’s not wrong on how we prioritize d line over adding more weapons for Josh. I think we had a great offseason but D hop would swing the needle way more than any other free agent move we’ve made this offseason because he’s a true offensive game changer. Hopefully Kincaid is that guy to help Diggs out
  5. Beane really is the ultimate strategist/poker player. Dude knows how to stack the deck to give his coaches everything they need. If McDermott can’t do it with this crew he has no leg to stand on. I can’t find a weakness on this team besides maybe a 1b WR but hopefully if we don’t nab Hopkins on a 1 year prove it deal then Kincaid can be that guy. Great job Beane! Bills Super Bowl here we come. Calling it Bills over Lions this year. Bet has been placed
  6. Hoping this Ed Oliver extension is the cap space saving cherry on top move that lands us D. Hop! Super Bowl or bust 2024 🥳
  7. Honestly thought we may actually get a solid year of production out of Ed because he was playing for another contract but now… I hope Beane is right on this one because imo “potential” doesn’t deserve a contract even close to sniffing proven elite DTs like Q. Williams and Chris Jones. Ed needs to show up now that’s he’s got his money
  8. I absolutely loved Simmons coming out of Clemson and think he could do well filling the role for us…I’d hope McDermott could get the most out of him because he really is pretty special athletically. Totally on board with getting him and said a couple months ago we should trade a package deal for him and Hopkins for Oliver and a draft pick
  9. I watched a lot of David coming out of Nebraska, he was born to be a LBer. I hope this kid is even, David Lite. If so I’ll be ecstatic with him leading the D
  10. Agreed. If we were going to spend on a LB it would’ve been on Roquan Smith. That dude is one of the few LBers in the league actually worth the money. I think Lavonte was the short term answer but now that we have Rapp I have a feeling we’re going to see some pretty unique hybrid defenses from our boy McDermott this year
  11. Wait were in KC again for the 27th straight year 🤦🏻‍♂️
  12. I like the lions so I’m cool with that. Ibrahim is a nice back. They have a good RB group with Gibbs, Montgomery and him
  13. I absolutely love the dedication to the OL in this draft and free agency
  14. Max Duggan to back up the franchise 🤔
  15. You’re better with O line than me. Are Ryan Hayes and Jarrett Patterson in the top 25 left on your board? I’m good with Vorhees redshirting for us but having someone compete with Brown would be nice too (Hayes)
  16. 100% would’ve loved to take him over shorter but I get it with all the character questions
  17. I agree he’s not really a fit when we have Hines and Cook but I honestly like him more than Cook. Just shows how RBs are overvalued Any of these guys are good with me
  18. With 2 amazing picks to start the draft and then 2 underwhelming selections, I’m hoping we finish with a couple guys I like in Deuce Vaughn and Max Duggan or with more O line depth like centers Wypler or Patterson
  19. He’s a big tough dude for sure just a little underwhelming because there were WRs on the board that could separate better than Shorter (Hutchison, Boutte, Perry, Washington). Hoping for the best here since the bills brought him in for a visit and private workout and seem to like him but in the back of mind I’m like man I wish they gave this pick up for Hopkins lol
  20. top of my head these are a few guys I’d be good with taking after the trade Luke Wypler AT Perry Xavier Hutchison Parker Washington Kayshon Boutte Jaelyn Duncan Ryan Hayes
  21. Just my opinion. I believe Phillips fell because his combine numbers aren’t great and he’s smaller but will be a stud nickel corner in this league that can play outside. His instincts are starting level day one but you’re right it’s not an immediate need. Wilson is a special WR but because of the cloud surrounding his injury history and he never put up the numbers because of it but he was the best WR at the senior bowl with good route running and WR1 upside.
  22. I slept and have a cooler head today. I absolutely still LOVE our first 2 picks as they immediately help Josh and the offense. Now to the 3rd round: Beane screwed up (period) Williams is a fine LB prospect and as a player I actually like his potential BUT it was a reach and still feels like a move Beane made because McDermott was in his ear instead of sticking to his board. I didn’t want a LB at all in the 3rd round because there were and still are better players at different positions with higher upside and imo more immediate impact to the starting lineup (not special teams again McD). I would’ve understood trading our 6th to move up a couple spots for Simpson if they “had to” go LB at this spot because his upside is huge but unlike @GunnerBill I still don’t think it was needed because McD is going to be using Rapp a lot in his LB/S hybrid scheme imo. I know our evals on players are not the same but 2 guys that 100% imo that will immediately be impact players with high upside at their positions we’re right there for the taking in Clark Phillips III and Michael Wilson. Even if they didn’t like those 2 (which is mind boggling because of their potential to be stars), I find it hard to believe he didn’t have a number of O lineman rated higher on his board than WIlliams. O lineman that would’ve been long term starters when Morse retires and if Browns sucks again (Zavala, Duncan, D Jones, Vorhees, Freeland) If we somehow trade our 6th for Hopkins then all is forgiven lol but right now my gut tells me Beane got flustered and reached on a kid that won’t be in our starting lineup (hopefully I’m wrong) instead of taking potential stars (Phillips III or Wilson) or filling o line trenches even more when that’s where the value was
  23. I want to like the pick but the facts are there were better players available that can be immediate game changers not back up LB and special team contributor. - Clark Phillips III has some of the best instincts at corner in the draft and would’ve played significant snaps immediately. - Michael Wilson has #1 WR upside and is already a very good route runner and if it weren’t for injury concerns would’ve went way higher (he was selected 2 picks after Williams) - Dawan Jones immediately challenges Spencer Brown for the RT spot - Siaka Ika immediately is a rotational DT on run downs who could develop to take over full time for Jones Even Zavala, Freeland and Duncan are all O lineman who could immediately challenge for starting spots Again I want to like the pick but it feels more like a McDermott pick telling Beane hey can I at least get a special teams guy here since we went offense last two rounds. Stay true to your board Beane you did great first two picks But I’ll try not be negative and hope he surprises me and actually does play meaningful defensive snaps and is not just a Milano backup and special teams guy
  24. Seeing Michael Wilson get drafted a couple picks after we took our yearly 3rd round special teams contributor made me a little nauseous. Love Beane but someone else needs to handle our 3rd round picks from now on. He killed the first 2 rounds so I give him a slight pass but dude go BPA stop listening to McDermott about special teams contributors
  25. Trying to not be annoyed because the first 2 picks were amazing but man we crapped the bed in the 3rd round. Who gives a rip if LBers were flying off the board. Stick to your BPA model. Is Williams going to really contribute any more than some special teams snaps? Probably not. You still have special players with high upside in Clark Phillips III and Michael Wilson on the board and a lot of O line that can compete for starting spots like Zavala and D Jones…just underwhelmed that Beane got suckered there. He’s been bad in the 3rd round
