Although I’d love to trade for Hopkins or Jeudy if the price was right, I’m actually happy with free agency. I wanted a WR and we got a fast one with untapped potential for Josh to play with. I wanted o-line help and we got a young versatile interior lineman who is already deemed a very good pass protector. We resigned Poyer!!! Best safety duo in the NFL back. I would’ve loved to have Lavonte David on that 1 year $7 mil deal because he was the perfect fit and better replacement for Edmunds but getting Poyer back makes up for it. Hopefully Wagner says I don’t need the money and takes a 1 year deal of the same money to play with us but I won’t hold my breath. We don’t need to rush anything else and im glad Beane knows this. Sooooo many free agents left, especially at RB, that we can go into the draft right now getting more O line and BPAs and then after the draft get those vets left behind that want to win a SB on a cheap deal

He wasn’t intentionally talking about RBs. We have crap reporters who ask questions we already know the answers to. Feel like anyone can just roll out of bed and ask the questions they did..”So is it good to have Poyer back with Hyde?”, “Josh doesn’t need an old vet QB as a backup anymore?”, “Being a GM is pretty cool isn’t it?”…lol

I live here and I concur lol. But hey the governor is pretty cool at least 😉

Great day! Got us a speedy WR to keep the d honest and now the best safety combo in the NFL is back together!!! let’s top it off with a Lavonte David signing baby Go Bills
-
Getting David would make what we have done in free agency so far a success in my book. ✅ Better MLB for less money ✅ Speed at WR to keep teams honest ✅ OL depth, possible 💎 in the rough Additional possibilities that would take me from 6 to midnight: - Add Hopkins for a 3rd round pick - Poyer comes back for another year or 2 - Gronk unretires to bring a SB to his hometown Buffalo Bills Then we go into the draft and keep filling O line needs and BPA (hopefully more offense than Defense)

Or Hopkins and Lavonte

Bills reportedly interested in Jamaal Williams
NeverOutNick replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Broncos signed Samaje Perine, formerly of the Bengals, to a two-year contract worth $7.5 million that’s a deal I would’ve been happy for the bills to do for Perine. Anything more than that for a short yardage back who can run block is moronic -
Bills have shown interest in Lavonte David.

If we sign David I’ll be ecstatic. Loved that dude since he was at Nebraska. Such a smart LB -
Wait until after the draft to pick up a short yardage back if we don’t get one in the draft.

Bills reportedly interested in Jamaal Williams

Hines wasn’t used properly last year. He’s a big time playmaker especially in open space. No way am I cutting him. Restructuring his deal? Sure. I’m also not in the same camp as you all with Jamaal Williams. He’s a grinder and decent in short yardage but he was that in GB also. He looked better in Detroit because of their fantastic offensive line. I love his passion but I don’t think he’s worth a hefty contract. We can get the same impact from him that we could from Perine, Foreman, Montgomery, Penny, or any 5th-7th round plodding RB that falls because he can’t catch but can pick up short yardage. Nothing against Jamaal but I just don’t think he’s worth the money he’s going to be given when we have more pressing needs at WR and OL, or even a LB to replace Edmunds. Hines, Cook and a cheap bulldozer are good enough for what our offense does. We just need more creative play-calling from Mr. Dorsey. That all being said, I won’t be mad if somehow Bijan Robinson falls to us and we take him. The kid is special enough to invest in but I’d still rather go OL or Zay Flowers -

I just hope that they wait a month or two and let everyone else spend money on running backs and if Jamal Williams is still around, then sign him because this Has to be the most crowded free agent running back class I’ve seen in a while so there really is no reason to invest a lot in a short yardage back that we won’t use very often anyways -
I agree with you on Ibrahim. He’s not the most gifted runner but he always pops when I watch Minnesota

I don’t hate it because I want Hopkins but if you substitute Flowers for Hyatt I’ll get on board. Hope the rest of the draft we hit on O line though

Bears to trade #1 overall pick to Panthers
NeverOutNick replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree, but I also think the Bears will be finishing bottom third in the rankings again next year so at least having two first round picks, can get them in position to draft Maye next year. I’ll root for fields to do well, but if we’re being honest, he improved in his play this year and they still were the worst team in football. I don’t think his ceiling is much higher than what he did this year. But I hope I’m wrong. Another way to look at it. Joe Burrow went to an inept Bengals team and although a torn ACL his rookie year got them the #4 pick and Chase, they haven’t sniffed the NFLs gutter since. It’s hard to find these Franchise QBs but I don’t think teams should settle for what they have when in a position to keep swinging until they hit on one. This is the make or break year for Fields. He has Moore and Claypool and I’m sure the bears will invest more (no pun intended) around him to give him every opportunity to be successful. Panthers get, according to vegas, CJ stroud. He throws the prettiest most catchable ball in this class. I love the way he drops it in to his WRs on intermediate routes. I question his decision making and deep ball accuracy but he’s got Frank Reich and Josh Mccown. He also seems to have a good head on his shoulders from listening to him talk. I don’t love any of these QBs but I think he’s going to be set up for really good success early on in. That garbage division. Great trade now let’s hope the bills can trade a couple orders of Duffs wings for Deandre Hopkins and sign Lavonte David before this draft -

I don’t love any of the QBs in this draft but I do think Young and Stroud are good enough to start day 1 in this league and with Frank Reich at the helm I trust they will only improve from where they are now. It was a good trade for them. If the raiders made this trade I’d agree they got hosed by the bears but the panthers with their coaching and the division and conference they play in made the right move. -
Bears to trade #1 overall pick to Panthers

Bears traded the #1 pick to the panthers!! I love it Bears get: DJ Moore #9 pick this year 2nd rounder this year Next years 1st rounder 2025 2nd rounder and Panthers get their franchise QB Good trade for both sides. if I were the bears I would’ve traded Fields and drafted Young. You get a couple more years of a cheap franchise QB who is a better passer than Fields but I get it. I think this was the perfect trade for both sides since the bears were staying with fields. Panthers could easily win the division as soon as this year with Reich and mccown having a clean slate leading Young or even Stroud. Hopefully more of these young QBs start heading to the NFC from now on -
Ok so I won’t put any of the top QBs or Jalen Carter and Will Anderson Jr…I suck at watching O line college film so I’m not going to try. My favorite players I think are special, go in the first 2 days of the draft and will have very good NFL careers barring injury: 1. Zay Flowers WR 2. Devon Witherspoon CB 3. Josh Downs WR 4. Bijan Robinson RB 5. Michael Mayer TE 6. Dalton Kincaid TE 7. Darnell Washington TE 8. Deuce Vaughn RB 9. Christian Gonzalez CB 10. Calijah Kancey DT Later gems…Most likely day 3 picks (maybe late day 2): Max Duggan QB Brenton Strange TE Tyjae Spears RB 3 WRs I think are underrated but also very boom/bust that I would consider taking a chance on: Jayden Reed - He just seems to fit Buffalo after watching him play in the snow and never really having a good QB. He seems to run a nice route tree with good hands and can return kicks Charlie Jones - A mix between Ed Mccaffey and Cole Beasley to me. Intriguing but is he clutch like those guys? Kayshon Boutte - Raw talent could be the best WR in the class but maturity and injury issues are scary.

I actually love this idea! So cool…Wish we did it years ago when I watched like every game of college football. I’ll still give it a go this year (give me a little bit and I’ll have my list)…wish we had updates from last year when I was adamant about trading up whatever it takes for Sauce Gardner.

Per Shefty - Bills “expected to lose” Poyer and Edmunds
NeverOutNick replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not sure I agree with this statement because Roquan Smith is one of the best linebackers in the league but who knows maybe you’re right because of Edmunds age and upside -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
NeverOutNick replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lamar is going to have suitors and they’ll be from owners/GMs who love taking chances and are not that far from being playoff teams. Here’s my top 5 Lamar destinations if he doesn’t get matched offer by Ravens: 1. Raiders 2. Jets if they don’t get Rodgers 3. Colts 4. SF 5. Atlanta (just don’t buy that they’re out) SF would be amazing to watch with Lamar under center and all of their RAC weapons. Just wow instant Super Bowl favorite and they could probably work out a trade without doing the two 1st round picks. Something like Lance and a couple second rounders. Raiders, colts, jets and falcons ownership have all proven to spend money wrecklessly so why not
