  1. I think they would pay a lot of this years contract in this scenario. Beats releasing him and still eating a good chunk and the drop from 27 to 34 is still pricey draft capital
  2. Have a feeling AZ plays ball during the draft and Beane probably told them “hey if our guy isn’t there at 27, we'll move down to 34 for Hopkins and you guys eating a majority of this years contract” 💥 done
  3. Welcome to Buffalo Mr. Wright! Man this would be perfect as he either wins the RT job or kicks inside to one of the guard spots. He has the upside to eventually be a LT as well. Go Bills
  4. Running up the stage and hugging Goodell as we speak
  5. Take off Campbell and I’m all in for one of those two tackles. That would be amazing if we got one of them.
  6. Whatever it takes, and if it doesn’t cost us that much, let’s make it happen because he’s the type of player that gets us to a Super Bowl.
  7. if it only costs us a 4th or later then fine but if not just sit pretty no reason to trade up for WRs in this class when the drop off isn’t that much. No elite talent outside of Flowers imo and even then I’m staying Pat if it costs more than a 4th…now if you want to trade up for a premier OT like Paris or Jones sure I can get on board with that
  8. This is my kind of topic I’ll definitely be coming back to post my top 20 or so and reasons
  9. Yeah, sorry if it came off like I was being defensive it’s early here ha ha. I know a lot of people would take Robinson because lions can afford to do so but this regime it doesn’t seem like the way they would go having a three-year deal with David Montgomery, and still having Swift, but I wouldn’t hate that pick either
  10. I agree with this take. I’m not sure yet that I buy it that Houston has the balls to not take Stroud if Young is gone but man I would give them some kudos if they traded down picked up some more pieces knowing they’ll get their QB next year in a class with a couple elite QB prospects (Maye is my favorite right now, kid looks special). Houston ownership has to have a long leash in order to let his guys do this because they’re essentially saying we’re tanking for Maye or Williams. If I were them, even with Stroud being a decent prospect, I would do the same. I’m just not sure they actually will
  11. It’s the weakest part of their current roster so they upgrade it with a guy Campbell will love. I don’t see the logic in why they trade away a top 5 TE either. For all the great moves the lions made the last couple years including trading up to get Williams in the first round for peanuts I thought it was moronic to then go and trade away Hockenson. I’m not making the pick based on hockenson though I’m making it based on their current roster weaknesses. TE is now a weakness. I thought about taking Bresee at 18 and honestly almost did but Mayer feels more like a Campbell pick to me even if getting Bresee here and picking up Washington in the 2nd makes more “logical” sense. I’ve learned through these drafts it’s best to wait until they are over to make a full assessment. Let me know if I screwed up their draft after round 2 is over. Right now I’m looking at best player available that fits their needs I also thought maybe there is a chance Bresee falls to the early 2nd again and I can have my cake and eat it too but after me saying his name so much I’m throwing that idea out the window lol Man this made me laugh because it seems so true lol. And honestly I told my die hard lions buddy hey I’m down to Bresee and Mayer for this pick and he’s like you have to take Mayer here
  12. My best friend is a huge lions fan and says they didn’t want to have to pay him the big $ so they got the most they could
  13. With the 18th pick in TSW Mock 2.0 the Detroit Lions select Michael Mayer, TE Fighting Irish In a draft where we could trade down this would be the perfect spot to but Dan Campbell is on cloud 9 as he gets the best all around TE in this draft class. He does not have the receiving upside of Kincaid or the blocking of Washington but he’s an immediate plug and play top 20 TE in the league and won’t make mistakes and that makes Campbell and his TE background happy. You may ask but wait why did they get rid of Hockenson just to grab a TE in the draft. Well these aren’t your Uncles lions. They are a cost effective and future forward thinking group and this move pays off immediately for a team destined to break a 30+ year playoff losing drought. @Bookie_tech and the Bucs are on the clock with pick 19
  14. With the 11th selection in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select Will Levis, QB, Kentucky Will is still a very raw QB prospect but after bringing Will in for a private workout and reviewing his film Coach Vrabel fell in love with Will’s confidence, grit and ability to carry his team on his shoulders in critical moments. Learning from Ryan Tannehill this year will do Will a lot of good because Ryan is a great athlete in his own right and is going to be a great mentor to get Will ready to start for our Titans in 2024. @Alphadawg7 and the Texans are on the clock with the 12th pick
  15. Can’t argue with that. Him and Anderson are right there imo. DT is a position the lions and Seahawks should upgrade and Carter is a man among boys so I get it. He has the character concerns but looking at the lions roster and how Campbell operates I would’ve taken the chance on Carter over Anderson as well. Good pick
  16. With the 6th pick in the 2023 NFL draft, the Detroit Lions select Will Anderson Jr, Edge, Bama Detroit was ready to pounce on DT Jalen Carter but is ecstatic to land Anderson! This feels eerily similar to last year where a team (teams) passes on the most plug and play ready players in the draft for potential (Travon Walker cough couch). This was a no brainer even with Hutchison and the emerging Houston already in place. You can never have too many good pass rushers and Detroit is one of the few teams in the NFL that doesn’t have a pressing need and the luxury of a lot of early draft capital. @TOboy and the Raiders are on the clock
  17. I have to get over my unfair biased against Oklahoma offensive lineman after the Cody Ford fiasco so I can give this guy a fair assessment lol
  18. Lol I totally get that perspective because I’ve always thought Love was a huge reach and next year’s QB class is looking pretty special
  19. I will say that I would much rather have Addison than Hyatt and that’s not even close
  20. it’s a small sample size, but the kid looked special and played bigger than he was. They even thought he was 6 foot three when he was actually only 6 foot one. I don’t see that with Addison, so I don’t think it’s a fair comparison, but if we do take Addison, I hope he is even a little close to Justin Jefferson’s level.
  21. Looks like he has amazing hand not hands lol but it just doesn’t look like he’s a natural hands catcher but there also isn’t a lot of tape of him catching balls so maybe I’m wrong
  22. Wait are you talking about Justin Jefferson? That dude was 100% a wow player at LSU. I always said when I watched him with Chase and Burrow that he’s just as good as Chase and more dependable. He also played bigger than he was and looks like it as well. Addison does not wow at all. He’ll be a decent #2 I’m sure but no way is he in the same category as Justin Jefferson in college and will never be where Justin Jefferson is now
  23. Same I’m for sure able to take any remaining if needed
  24. They bite knee caps bro
  25. Lions Seahawks or Texans in that order please. And thank you again.
