I hope you are right. He seemed to be coming on until Poyer blew him up against Miami. Did that intimidate Coleman? If yes, can he recover? I didn’t like the pick, but was pleasantly surprised up until he got hurt, but he has done next to nothing since returning. He IS good on the “Allen run around until the defense loses track of receiver plays”.

Based only on early reading, I think the most likely prick in round 1 for the Bills will be DT or CB. Appear to be pretty strong groups early and DT is a bit devalued so maybe a good one will slide. WR, at the moment, looks like a down year - especially for boundary WR that Bills still need (assuming Amari Cooper leaves in FA). DE will be a need, but not sure that is the best group after the first half of round 1.

Maybe that hit Poyer put on him has made him timid.

I will say that Coleman usually has excellent coverage on the DB.

Assuming Cooper leaves in FA, WR is a big need. Coleman can make some great off-schedule plays, but can’t win many 1-1 matchups and Curtis Samuel has been a huge disappointment (maybe he is injured?). Unfortunately, the draft doesn’t look strong at WR.

I agree Solomon is one of few who has played well.

Too much for his age. He probably has 2 good years left then the inevitable decline.

One defender who is playing well is Javon Solomon. Why is Dorian Williams so far down the depth chart (or apparently down it)? Is he injured?

Someone take that challenge flag away from McDermott.

Look for a K to be picked somewhere in the draft .

Landon Jackson has two ACL injuries in his past - a thorough assessment of his health is important, but I agree he is an intriguing player.

So nice that this isn’t a draft thread. For decades the title would have been “Who do you want in round one of the draft”. I am enjoying the ride now, especially given that the team has FAR outperformed my modest expectations for this season. Go Bills.

Switching up and I know this season is still going, but Bills are likely in the market for a boundary WR as re-signing Cooper will cost a ton. Early reading suggests this is not a strong draft class for WR. Gunner, do you see any prospects worth a first or 2nd pick (in range for Bills late in each round)?

DE is a need to replace Von and to help the Bills’ anemic pass rush. DT is also a need - thinking big body in case Daquan Jones doesn’t return. DBs should also be a priority with possibility that Rasul Douglas leaves in FA. WR is also a significant need assuming that they lose Amari Cooper in FA, but early reading suggests this is nowhere near as good of a WR group as the past few years.

These games happen, especially in division. Raiders beat KC late last season. Still the defense, even when healthy, isn’t good enough to go far in the playoffs.

I acknowledge that the D is missing a lot of important players, but even if some of the injured return, this defense is just not good enough to go far in the playoffs. Special teams are nearly as bad.

I don’t think McDermott will lose a second of sleep worrying about whether he wins the award, but he has proven capable of having a consistently good team. This team has so far surpassed most expectations coming into the season and they have proven themselves able to overcome a number of significant injuries. The culture is real and it’s a winning culture. He isn’t perfect, but no coach is.

I wasn’t really lamenting that the Bills didn’t take him and I wasn’t arguing that Coleman hasn’t shown nice flashes. I only meant to tip my hat to a rookie who is playing really well.

I know that McConkey is more of a slot receiver when the Bills were looking for a bigger boundary WR, but man McConkey is playing well. 9 for 117 in just today’s game. Watching his route running in the pre-draft process had me mesmerized by his cutting ability. I’ve been wrong on draft prospects plenty, so I’m not claiming to be some draft genius, but I really liked him.

That’s right. Real time I thought he did, but replay shows he didn’t.

This team should never return a kickoff.

Frigging awful.

A step-back year. I understand that injuries are a big problem on both offense and defense, but even at full-strength, this is not a serious Super Bowl contending team. Defense is too soft against the run and is not a strong pass rush team. On offense, there is not enough fire power, particularly at WR. I will admit that I was not a fan of the Coleman pick, but he was at least showing some signs of life before injury. Let’s see how they look through the upcoming very tough stretch.

I would go 2 1sts for Myles Garrett as long as you know you can sign him when his first deal is done. Garrett across from Rousseau would be fantastic.

This is why I don’t like giving up a 3rd round pick for a rental wr. This team is not a Super Bowl contender this year.
