  1. What I take away from the rookie QBs so far is: 1. Rookie QBs will generally struggle compared with vets. 2. Talent around a QB matters A LOT. I haven’t watched a ton of KC’s games this year, but all of the scoring highlights i have seen involve completions to wide open receivers. KC has hit home runs with mid-late round picks with Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt and they added very talented Sammy Watkins as a 4th weapon. In in the above, Josh Allen is playing with by far the LEAST talent around him. Now, I don’t know if Allen is the answer or will be a disappointment, but I strongly believe you can’t tell much, if anything, from his play this year.
  2. Disagree strongly with this. They are building a team that does care, but are under the weight of having to dump guys that don’t care (like Dareus)
  3. If you were not ready for this, then you either were not paying attention or you were delusional. They are positioned to acquire some significant assets in FA and draft this off-season.
  4. If you are surprised at this result, then you are ill-informed or unrealistic. They lost 3 significant OL (Wood, Incognito and Glenn) and never had an NFL receiving group. I don’t disagree with the game plan. They ate a lot of cap $ this season and (I think) they plan to load up on offense in FA and the draft. They are going to have a VERY high pick in the draft, but the draft is slanted to D. Obviously the D is in impregnable, but the cupboard is bare on offense. The challenge is finding a way to maximize the value of their high picks while addressing their key needs - OL, WR, RB, TE.
  5. Never mind. It isn’t baseball where a pitcher has no pressure.
  6. What are you watching? I saw maybe 1 or 2 inaccurate passes today. Now, if you want to say he isn’t seeing the field, ok fine. The “he is inaccurate” mantra is off in my opinion.
  7. Statistics without context are garbage. The basis of statistics is having a sound sample of data. Mixing data from incomparable data sets is never right.
  8. I am just not seeing the inaccuracy that some continue to beat the drum about. When he throws “in rhythm” he has been quite accurate. When he has to throw on the run or he doesn’t “see it” early and has to reset, less so, but still not alarming. What concerns me is his ability to process what he is seeing, yet I really wonder if anyone is open on many plays.
  9. I’m not getting the accuracy comments at this point. I don’t remember more than a pass or two that were inaccurate. I am more concerned that he isn’t showing improvement in seeing the field. I know the receivers are bottom 20% in the NFL, but occasionally someone has to be open - even if by a defensive mistake. He he should NEVER have been forced into the lineup this year. The gamble that McCarron would be the vet starter failed miserably. They STILL should have kept McCarron to take the beatings with this woeful supporting cast. Put Patrick Mahomes with this group and I think he doesn’t look much better than Allen. Mahomes has bonafide stars at bot WR positions with Tyrell Hill and Watkins, one of the top 5 TEs in Kelce and a top RB with Kareem Hunt. I will note that Hill, Kelce and Hunt were not high draft picks. KC got lucky or was good with those mid round picks. Bills have to do the same.
  10. I expect the defense to become demoralized and give up after a few more weeks
  11. How long before the defense is completely demoralized and just gives up?
  12. Can’t win in the NFL without a QB and we don’t have one that is ready and maybe don’t have one at all
  13. Can we finally put Peterman out of his misery and cut him?
  14. Had a chance going into Indy, but not with Peterman
  15. Let them score on first play so you have a bit of time to pray for a miracle
