  1. Game is pretty much over now. Bills offense has done zero since those two early TDS
  2. Bill Belichick would like to remind us that he has done alright as a defensive minded HC.
  3. You do have to have someone wanting to trade up, if you want to trade down.
  4. Holy cow, how can some here already have written Allen off? I can’t think how you could have put a rookie into a worse situation. Mediocre OL to worse with loss of Wood and Incognito- check. WR group with maybe 1 NFL level starter - and that was “last year’s sure bust” Zay Jones - check. Keep Allen taking 3rd team reps through most of training camp and then throw him into starting lineup with this mess - check. How many games has he started, no supporting group- 6? Yep, let’s conclude that he is terrible
  5. If you watched today’s game and you think that Peterman was the reason that they lost, then I cannot understand your viewpoint.
  6. Peterman wasn’t great, but today he was far from the reason that they lost. If he has to play next week, i could watch. 3 turnovers were not his fault at all. One bumbled pick courtesy of Pryor, one uncalled PI and another deflection INT and finally, completion and fumble by Croom. i am not delusional to the point that I think Peterman is good, but he was far from the worst part of this offense today.
  7. We'll get 'em next year! Seriously, they have room to help the offense in FA, but the draft looks weak in offense - admittedly a long way out. I think that they can be competent on offense next year IF between FA and the draft, they can find 2 WR that can be significant contributors AND if they can find at least 3 competent starting OL. The he cupboard is SO bare on offense that it is realistic to hope/pray for just middle of the pack. And that is only if Josh Allen proves to be the answer at QB. In my opinion, OL is top priority, just to even have a chance. The entire middle of the OL needs to be replaced - and that says something when Jordan Mills at RT isn't one of the top priorities to replace.
  8. Not that Gronk wasn’t worth far more than the 2nd that NE used on him, the reason that he lasted well into the 2nd round was because he had a back injury his last season in college. Of COURSE, if you knew that he would have the career that he did, then the Bills looked foolish passing on the possible HOF hometown boy. However, all 32 teams passed on him because of his back injury.
  9. If I recall correctly, the 2018 draft was Beane’s first in Buffalo. McDermott was here (just new) for the 2017 draft with scouting reports from the lame-duck FO. Was McDermott supposed to trust the evaluations of Whaley and his staff when he (likely) knew that they would be let go right after the draft?
  10. Don’t forget to add in Jordan Mathews who had near 100 yards today. Maybe Doug Whaley was a pretty good judge of talent? Stiil, Bills could not afford to keep all those guys. Watkins is making crazy $ and Robert Woods isn’t cheap.
  11. Wait, thought Rosen was the most pro-ready. Don’t misinterpret my post - I am not saying that Rosen is destined to be bad. IMHO, you can’t really judge any of these guys off their rookie seasons. My point is that a lot of folks thought that Rosen would walk right into the league and thrive - that obviously hasn’t happened. Just in context of Rosen vs Allen - neither should be judged off this season as both are suffering fro poor supporting casts, as well as inexperience.
  12. What I take away from the rookie QBs so far is: 1. Rookie QBs will generally struggle compared with vets. 2. Talent around a QB matters A LOT. I haven’t watched a ton of KC’s games this year, but all of the scoring highlights i have seen involve completions to wide open receivers. KC has hit home runs with mid-late round picks with Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt and they added very talented Sammy Watkins as a 4th weapon. In in the above, Josh Allen is playing with by far the LEAST talent around him. Now, I don’t know if Allen is the answer or will be a disappointment, but I strongly believe you can’t tell much, if anything, from his play this year.
  13. Disagree strongly with this. They are building a team that does care, but are under the weight of having to dump guys that don’t care (like Dareus)
  14. If you were not ready for this, then you either were not paying attention or you were delusional. They are positioned to acquire some significant assets in FA and draft this off-season.
  15. If you are surprised at this result, then you are ill-informed or unrealistic. They lost 3 significant OL (Wood, Incognito and Glenn) and never had an NFL receiving group. I don’t disagree with the game plan. They ate a lot of cap $ this season and (I think) they plan to load up on offense in FA and the draft. They are going to have a VERY high pick in the draft, but the draft is slanted to D. Obviously the D is in impregnable, but the cupboard is bare on offense. The challenge is finding a way to maximize the value of their high picks while addressing their key needs - OL, WR, RB, TE.
  16. Never mind. It isn’t baseball where a pitcher has no pressure.
  17. What are you watching? I saw maybe 1 or 2 inaccurate passes today. Now, if you want to say he isn’t seeing the field, ok fine. The “he is inaccurate” mantra is off in my opinion.
  18. Statistics without context are garbage. The basis of statistics is having a sound sample of data. Mixing data from incomparable data sets is never right.
  19. I am just not seeing the inaccuracy that some continue to beat the drum about. When he throws “in rhythm” he has been quite accurate. When he has to throw on the run or he doesn’t “see it” early and has to reset, less so, but still not alarming. What concerns me is his ability to process what he is seeing, yet I really wonder if anyone is open on many plays.
  20. I’m not getting the accuracy comments at this point. I don’t remember more than a pass or two that were inaccurate. I am more concerned that he isn’t showing improvement in seeing the field. I know the receivers are bottom 20% in the NFL, but occasionally someone has to be open - even if by a defensive mistake. He he should NEVER have been forced into the lineup this year. The gamble that McCarron would be the vet starter failed miserably. They STILL should have kept McCarron to take the beatings with this woeful supporting cast. Put Patrick Mahomes with this group and I think he doesn’t look much better than Allen. Mahomes has bonafide stars at bot WR positions with Tyrell Hill and Watkins, one of the top 5 TEs in Kelce and a top RB with Kareem Hunt. I will note that Hill, Kelce and Hunt were not high draft picks. KC got lucky or was good with those mid round picks. Bills have to do the same.
  21. I expect the defense to become demoralized and give up after a few more weeks
  22. How long before the defense is completely demoralized and just gives up?
  23. Can’t win in the NFL without a QB and we don’t have one that is ready and maybe don’t have one at all
  24. Can we finally put Peterman out of his misery and cut him?
