  1. oh of course- I was saying the news coverage was a huge gap from what happened not that @Kirby Jackson misled us.
  2. yea, just ugly all around. And I’m sure has not been great for awhile. Sister, parents…. Can’t imagine I am not going to celebrate what happened. Also not shying away from acknowledging the behaviors.
  3. even this story continues to grow with his gun firing allegedly being in the commission of stealing his sisters car i get being polite around suicide in the news but…. “Found dead” didn’t really give any color to the apparent saga his final hours were. Reading the story this morning I assumed he was discovered in his home after a discrete/private incident not that he stole a family members car via gun lead a police chase and shot himself crashing into a building
  4. the dude declared for the draft 3 days after the accident without taking responsibility for the crash. It’s more than some juvenile speeding with no idea what happened
  5. Im seeing reports he shot himself after crashing in a police pursuit…. You know, 2 days before the grand jury for his causing a death with his reckless driving if that’s correct, one might argue no lesson was truly learned and he died how he lived - putting innocent people at risk while dodging accountability
  6. I also think loomis wanted to prove he was the guy and not Bree’s/payton He really wanted to win without them
  7. tank and eat the cap hits finally
  8. he seems to think it’s pretty cool for his kids to actually see him play and that’s pretty cool
  9. the cost would be more than a very good corner and very good wr
  10. plus doesn’t he have a lot of kids? How many computers does he have?
  11. meh top of the draft guys are a coin flip end of the round guys are rolls of the dice and after about pick 40 it’s lottery tickets He’s not a bum or anything but he’s more dice than coin
  12. in a skill set discussion only - the team is better with cook than most reasonable replacement options that said I have a very hard time with digesting a player we spend 15m (plus or minus a bit) being game planned onto the sideline for our hurry up offense - specifically game winning drive attempts. I can begin to reconcile our day 2 pick being on the sideline but really struggle with the idea of our 15m back being on the sideline in 2 minute drills in January. Either the back, the coach or the front office would need change in my opinion.
  13. On some level it culturally changes the city you are in
  14. meh i get the players wanting to grow their personal brands not sure I ever got fans being super into it im totally ok with a boring and predictable schedule. Especially if a season ticket holder. A bunch of mid week work/school night games and holidays rarely make for better weeks. Yet alone the 14 different networks. I’m super ok with routine, predictable slates
  15. “it’s effective but not proper” isn’t terribly hard to reconcile
  16. group of thousands of people often have conflicting views across the spectrum of opinions id imagine at the very least their signing bonuses were not quite as robust but who knows
  17. I’d much rather Allen throw for 45 TDs and 4800 yards and not have to run outside of the second half in playoff games id also like to be an even more dynamic matchup problem where there’s not a team we worry about seeing us down because we can use the whole field. plus, it has potential to keep Josh healthier
  18. ultimately next offseason we likely have Shakir Coleman palmer perhaps as a 1 year guy i dint think we’d be thrilled with that meaning either a vet (pricy) or high pick. I think getting a mid pick this year is a good investment to reduce the capital spent next year. Even in an optimistic scenario that guy would be an asset but if anyone isn’t at their ceiling a starting player will be needed
  19. id rather a day 2 pick… Coleman is a complete question mark palmer is a 2 year deal and major question mark is be shocked if Samuel is here in 2026 we don’t need lightning in a bottle or a 1 year rental - we need a solid prospect that inn12 months will be expected to be a near full time starter on a cost controlled deal for several years. A day 2 guy is great short term depth and long term real potential
  20. vet minimum was never a real thing but genuinely amazed at a 1 yr 26m i figured something like bosa level with opportunities to push higher with incentives
  21. only thing on sanders is if he’s not totally their guy they could insulate themselves a bit with the trade still
  22. it’s been very need based drafting. And in the late 20s it’s hard to snag a specific positional need, that’s a system fit, and has top 30 talent the draft comes, we of course are amped with a first rounder that matches a hole… but was that guy the top ranked on our board because he was the elite talent left or our favorite hole filler? im not sure how much is revisionist because they didn’t work vs being realistic about why I was good with them at the time
  23. what was the bigger curse, that moulds wasted 2 years before breaking out or that now we have to give every wr 2 years or hear about moulds taking that long
  24. yea - trading up to get a guy like that you expect some big plays in big moments. can look at the refs not giving him the first or talk about the knee or the degree of difficulty on the catch… But at some point you need to talk about the plays made too and not just the reasons for near misses it’s still very early but a couple of those plays coming through are literal history changers potentially
  25. when you pay 3 guys as wr2, and your backup te as te1 plus bookend tackles
