  1. yup - scratch the dumb risky stuff that isn’t even much fun off the list, but still live big with the things that are actually worthwhile.
  2. ive always said it with guys fighting at bars- sometimes even a minor shove lands with a stumble and fall and all of a sudden it’s a “tua” situation or worse. those dumb luck moments, like slipping out of a golf cart, turning severely life altering really are a perspective changer. I don’t wildly change my life to prevent every last trip/slip/fall… but there are definitely moments where I catch myself and tighten up behavior more quickly than once upon a time.
  3. I think his departure was a not inconsequential piece of Josh going from turnover king to cleanest player in the league
  4. yea, if he was a 30 year old all pro it might have been a football decision to weather the storm
  5. at some point I’m pretty cool with pushing enough chips in that we may need a reset year after it but hopefully with a trophy in the case instead of just division banners let’s get our all pro pass catcher(s)
  6. yea im not giving a pass on the drop but im hoping it explains the overall usage for the season. Was frustrating not to see him putting more pressure on defenses given what he was drafted to be. should’ve caught that pass but statistically they will happen sometimes. Hopefully no trend but a bad play.
  7. likewise sometimes they do not, or even get worse. Who knows with him… but it’d be nice if we didn’t have to count on getting better to be what we need
  8. they do have a couple of pass rushers kicking around still
  9. The article say that it wasn’t negligent operation sounds like it’s very possibly the terrifying freak accident of banging your head on cement when you fall and just having terrible luck.
  10. this has to be at least a portion of it. There is likely some “tie goes to the earned captain profile” in our room though if there are two closely ranked and ones iffy on leadership
  11. come on - you don’t think that spreading the ball was a result of having 4 WR2-3 and no WR1? if we plopped a chase or Jefferson in, he just gets hollins targets?
  12. I have a hard time reconciling this…. last year was a reset year where we overachieved. Some lucky bounces, relatively good health and an incredibly weak division. coming out of the reset our reloading includes Joey bosa, Josh Palmer and hoecht? Sounds like running it back with the reset team, no? I worry we may see more games like that early season ravens-Texans pair where the team really struggled. On offense.
  13. We are in large part top scoring because we are taking a mortgage on Allen’s future to do it if he falters even slightly we are cooked
  14. Allen is not a general manager and how many games did Allen have to win with super human plays?
  15. we literally traded away the Jefferson pick, and could’ve gone up for a guy like BTJ last year. That ignoring vets on the market.
  16. score a lot of points with great offensive weapons and let the DL get after the passer?
  17. I don’t think it’s near as tricky as some are making it to be as a top qb prospect you are maybe 50-50 odds? And Shedeur on the field is a solid step back from that. so now that you walk him back to a real long shot- and you add the baggage that he’s actually a guy that could get you a lot of negative attention publicly if you take the chance….
  18. meh. it wasn’t on the table at Starbucks at some point basically none of us are immaculate with physical data security within our homes. it surely wasn’t ideal but it’s rarely perfect
  19. given Josh a monster wr and wat h the defense play with leads even more
  20. Less optimistically framed the 9th wr off the board and the pass catcher that isn’t a wr left after literally all the first round WRs were taken The problem is our expectation should be at least 1 if not multiple rings
  21. Here is the problem: if last year was the reset, this year and next are the prime window, right? I think we had a nice enough draft. I don’t look at it and feel GREAT about that being the end result. Paired with our offseason it felt like just throwing volume at DL and secondary in hopes of something hitting and then running it back with the “reset year” roster
  22. if we don’t figure out how to win these games without Josh having to make miracle plays running guys over…. At some point we need to give the man tools instead of asking him to take a mortgage on his own future
  23. I think the complaint is not seeing that upside be speed.
  24. it is the Tampa 2 in Indy without as much speed. get the lead, shorten games and if you force enough long drives you’ll get a few turnovers. im ok embracing a lot of that but at some point we need to realize a star WR1 is something that helps that defense because it allows them to skew one dimensional
  25. a lot of them do not watch near as much as you give credit for
