  1. Dont you work in a locker room?!? Or gym?!? Or are you actually a very modest irs accountant despite the bravado here?!?
  2. The latter point probably helps but ultimately money, scheme, and strength of the existing position group weigh heaviest on these kids. The “still building” is a bit overstated as we are officially nearing our crest and the roster is getting crowded.
  3. They aren’t that high on duke. The guy got a reserves/future contract out of the cfl and has participated in what for us? maybe foster but you are crazy if you think duke is dictating any roster decision at all right now Or he’s a fine backup to keep? Why does he have to be a starter? I’m fine with him as #4
  4. Hopefully this sticks to discussion of confirmed signings and the other thread can be wish lists and rumors
  5. Yea- poorly organized unless the OP is hardcore in updating
  6. Objectively, as an outsider, Allen’s not yet an established guy. As optimistic as we are, between him, and Anderson being a million years old it’s not a terrible spot to at least take his shot
  7. Counterintuitive but hopefully we have enough diamonds that it’s really unlikely that a UDFA has much chance
  8. Again fine enough. Good edge of the roster selection. I’d legit pursue the buff guys hard as UDFA now though, and I’m not a UB homer but a good young WR and a practice squad qb would be good gets in a few mins.
  9. Yup but at a decent position for it
  10. Here’s where you start weighing which udfas you like that wouldn’t like signing based on the depth chart. Maybe not BPA, but hardest to acquire once it wraps.
  11. That’s a lot of comp picks projected.
  12. Really think it’s an even third?
  13. I think he meant it less as an objection and more as a “mcd might like the kid more than he should” may or or may not be fair.
  14. This one truly feels like proehl did. Personal connection very deep in the draft that doesn’t actually seem to have a real fit. Not a huge deal but I wouldn’t expect to see him play much if at all. He has to leap frog several guys (including a special teams ace at his position group) to even dress to get special teams reps.
  15. You can lose games for sure. Roberts isn’t moving the needle on wins/losses. If we show up completely incompetent in coverage, it’ll lose us games. Ok vs great coverage isn’t moving the needle if you have excellent kickers. It’s a “great kickers and just don’t mess up” league on special teams these days.
  16. I take an athlete over a limited guy at a position of strength with existing depth. Whether that a WR or developmental piece elsewhere. If we have Hyde, poyer, neal, Alexander.... this guy will struggle to make the 53 yet alone 45... before we call him a special teamer he has to dress- how many safeties are you giving jerseys to on Sunday?
  17. Its not 1992 anymore. Grab two top notch kickers (I’m fine paying for them!) and don’t fumble returns or allow blocked kicks and you are a solid special teams. No ones winning games with returns or coverage. This one just feels a bit like proehl last year. Don’t love it but oh well. Rare to love a guy this late.
  18. Should contribute as a special teamer and hopefully they build out a couple easy read packages for him. I’d assume he won’t be first off the bench in injuries but will get reps.
  19. I hope he adds players if anything A warlock? Really?
  20. You can say that but how much time did he really have to win over this new regime with no ties to him? Fun narratives are easy to write after the fact. Kliff might even like the dude but just thinks he found a better qb and can’t pass on upgrading the biggest position in football. They might’ve done the same to Allen if they got him last year. The cards are a special kind of organizational disaster for a long time Exactly
  21. Or how little you understand his need to create clicks with sometimes controversial takes
  22. Thats my expectation. If Dawkins struggles a bit you miiiiight see him kick inside and nsekhe slide over with ford at rt this year but I’m expecting your configuration with teller, long and waddle off the bench. Should be middle of the pack instead of a weakness.
  23. I agree that they are muuuuuch better than our current alternatives. Was the best option for my own father. That said, for a lot of people would be nice to see even better alternatives available and that’s no knock on hospice- just that end of life is ugly and complicated and I think we need more diverse offerings out there. Hospice is great for many though. not to derail though- hopefully pancho gets the best care and everything he needs to reach the outcome that best serves he and his family. Seems like a good dude that I am definitely rooting for.
