  1. #Mario4skelton With him playing games before he’s signed just wait til after...
  2. It’s also a position that sees 5-6 guys play decent roles in a season and unlike OL actually gets practice time doing their core job duties
  3. If any GM had him as a 3rd he would’ve been picked by the end of day 3 Actions speak louder than words when claiming the gaps that wide.
  4. Minus the fact that he only kind of really plays the same role.
  5. Is that factually known though? They aren’t even newly awful. They’ve been consistently disastrous
  6. The flip side is an employer suspending their employee for workplace misconduct (PED) vs at home behavior should see some tilting towards harshness at work misconduct even if the at home behavior is morally worse. not going to litigate an unknown PED offense vs a not yet doled out personal conduct offense- but as a general rule I get why we see things that look out of sorts sometimes
  7. Y’all mock the jets but the cards are an underrated treat to make fun of
  8. Why in the world would your head jump to “if he takes a cheap shot in the preseason”
  9. This explains so much.
  10. Meh. It’s a special run of a shirt that already had all its design costs paid. It features the dudes face and it is being opened up for sale on the day of his death. Id encourage them to cover costs and donate everything else to his family or charity on this very specific limited run. 99 times out of 100 I’d agree with you but it’s quite literally his face. I’m not trying to derail or get off track or even debate it really but if the site owners end up here reading, I hope they think about it.
  11. I get that people sometimes pick odd or random places to rally for a cause... but even if you think this is one of those times this is likely not the time or place to muse on the topic. if anything, I’d encourage the shirt company to donate the entire profit from this run.
  12. He probably told some gambling types that luck was washed up.
  13. Could accuracy be the simplest answer? Like maybe he said the outcome was likely to be this simply because it was the probable outcome? real talk: have you ever conceded a point to him or is this as close as it gets?
  14. That it’s now about weos love of kraft and not the case seems to indicate the official KO
  15. A) he will want it up front as a signing bonus which is always amortized B) because you can always rollover unused cap you may as well push the hit later to increase flexibility today. If you don’t use it you have the same dollars to spend later but if an opportunity or need pops up today you have resources now too.
  16. Not wasn’t humble by any means but if he had few to no invites and the agent worked some magic- I can see why a young guy would accidentally include himself in the brag there. Especially when trying to show his own skills to upcoming clients. Youve been around long enough to see quiet success can easily trump loud bragging - but it’s often a tough lesson
  17. Or we only have 2 solidly making the roster and letting guys fight it out is good business on the 90 man. Carrying 5 for 3 spots is pretty on ratio for what a 90 should look like
  18. He also threw in comments about coaches egos being too big, and not hiring the best guys.... it wasnt a great look. And may have been an insight not just a media spin. It’s largely his own words being discussed
  19. I believe, if I’m not mistaken, that’s both an old update and also simply posted by a well meaning friend. I wouldn’t hang on every word of it.
  20. Its one of the less shocking things I’ve seen on here lately, even with the Derek Anderson retirement
  21. I will never forget jerel worthy.
  22. Which makes sense. His rookie year was injury recovery and in a bad situation. If you write off that year he’s just a young guy coming into his own in a new system and healthy. I think that option decision makes people feel like he’s been here and in it longer than he really has.
  23. He’s essentially paid as a rotational/backup DE here. He will be likewise in 2020, somewhere.
  24. There tend to be a few ledges in the structures where you see pockets of guys that negotiate a bit more. Where offset language comes off the table seems to be another where it sometimes stretches a few extra days. As a 3rd rounder there’s a chance this is your only pay day, and couldn’t fault anyone for wanting to get it right
  25. It can be a tough spot as a middle manager for a bad leader. Especially if he brought you in to be a culture bearer for his system and you don’t actually believe in it. On your note- it wasn’t outside the box to hire him. But how many assistant position coaches come out dogging leadership for not knowing the game and not listening to them because they are the GOAT? It loops into the long running debate of whether a guy like Peyton Manning would be a good coach. Knowing the game is different than knowing how to teach, being a second or third tier contributor to a meeting room instead of a guy that’s followed blindly, etc....
