  1. It’s traditionally a 2 year recovery for what he dealt with. I think you can mark him down as 2 good years, 2 injured years and a down year with the chiefs through 5 seasons. This will be an interesting crossroads as year 2 in the system, fully healed, and their top option
  2. Indeed. If getting super technical I might say just take the penalty and save the timeout but splitting hairs pretty thin at that point
  3. That mantra is so played out. I’ll take a 12-4 season playing plenty of bad teams struggling with adversity and hopefully have to win just two home games vs solid opponents to be in the super bowl I’d love a division we could consistently sweep leaving just 1 game above splitting the rest to earn a top 2 seed.
  4. WM in 2016 would need a multiplier for a guy getting inked in 2020. The cap will have gone up considerably. Also 4 year 32m would be 8m per year. Itll be be interesting to see how the season plays out
  5. Drews post game actually just said he was told it was a miscalled rule and no runoff should’ve occurred. Lucky it was the first half of week 1 and not the end of a championship game ?
  6. You can give yourself up I believe but in the moment, a smart defender would force the offense to know the rule and execute
  7. Man- that still irks me. The play before whistled dead at 47 seconds and then at 26 as they are snapping the ball they blow the whistle and run off 10 seconds?!? That rule has to be looked at. Heaven forbid they run up to spike at the 20 yard line down 2 points and it’s like 9 seconds on the clock when the booth review comes in. Let the offense get fully set then end the game on the review instead of letting them kick, as a worst case scenario.
  8. Its not even half way through the 3rd
  9. It was 14-3 at the half. Only so fast and furious
  10. That they were already snapping the ball results in a common sense outcome of spotting the ball and starting the clock.
  11. Yea they snapped the ball at 26; while it’s the letter of the rule it certainly was at the expense of common sense there. Should just start the clock live when set if the team was already at the line when the replay initiates
  12. Arent all scoring plays reviewed so he can’t?
  13. Todays game from brown should surprise no one. It’s just a question of how often we see it. Beasley isn’t the same caliber player but hopefully cleans up the drops from today. He’s a good option but I think all offseason the board was too low on brown and too high on beasley, as a general tone.
  14. He’s a decent, not great, receiver. Expectations should be lower for beasley and higher for brown going into the season. The differential won’t always be as wide as today.
  15. They started hot but playing a bit sloppy with 4 personal fouls in the first quarter or so... didn’t see much for awhile and when I looked back it was out of hand.
  16. Yup - wasn’t pretty but it counts the same... and in a road division game against a likely wild card competitor; it counts a lot
  17. If you think 1 game warrants that, you likely got lambasting you deserved
  18. Think he hits 200 yards?
  19. I was just giving you a ribbing that your list was pretty obvious. Normally people don’t wait out the whole offseason to post an hour before kickoff that they are excited to see the 5 things every national writer would have on their cliche bills things to watch list. I was just expecting bolder things from you.
  20. More of the same?!? I doubt you see this again in the next 5 if not 10 years 99% of players aren’t in demand enough and 99% of the ones that are simply want max money not all the drama to get to a specific team possibly browns very much the exception. Who’s the last one to do similar, Blount?
  21. Really went out on a limb with our last 3 first rounders, 2 biggest free agent signings and our most controversial offseason move
  22. Browns marched down the field aaaand the rookie botches the XP
  23. Well most productive and best aren’t always the same. Sheer talent and pedigree it’s hard to top but will be volatile for sure and I don’t think the pats suddenly become run and gun on offense
  24. Dude was traded mid September and didn’t finish the season and had 40 catches at 18.0 per catch. his career average is 17.4 and highest in the league I suspect walking into an offense hes familiar with will help with explosion as he will be working in a more complete playbook, more rhythm with Brady etc... as is he was on pace for a pretty darn good season despite being a mid season trade coming off a bad situation in Cleveland.
  25. Im not sure we know whether Gordon will be impactful. He very well could return to form. He’s 28.
