  1. if it’s Tuesday I’d venture a guess we would end up Monday against them
  2. I don’t know that Roman is a head coach. There have been comments he’s more of a coordinator.
  3. it’s a team honor. It’s all opinion. It’s not like they’d be violating his rights by not following some law that needed to be proven.
  4. Yea but he would be pretty early in the process
  5. oh I get it- I just think you are fine with a second set of mod eyes or just SDS. I wouldn’t be upset if it went your way, just felt like more than needed since it’s a pretty low key spot that does generally run so smoothly.
  6. I would guess they feel solid enough to take a few risks on final pieces. that said, not sure he’s a guy they would want to deal with again. Both culture and cash weighed in the decision but how bad his culture issues in the building would matter a lot. A bit lazy you can work with. Open defiance, not so much.
  7. generally agree On the first 4. politics are in everything. Hard to pretend it’s not. I’d rather focus on tone than content there, right? I think society as a whole would be better if civil discourse was encourage instead of accepting politics as a topic too far to address The exact value and how quickly they age out and what threshold you get bumped out at I don’t feel like hyper analyzing but something like you laid out seems roughly good. having a review board seems like overkill. Sometimes we may be too serious and overengineer a message board. If a poster feels targeted or misunderstood it seems easy enough to shoot the mod that hit you a note, or another mod a quick ask for help. Won’t be perfect but no answer will be.... so may as well keep it super simple.
  8. I’d put abusive behavior, slurs and such pretty high On the penalty spectrum and off topic relatively low as conversations can meander easily without harm. Rarely do interesting conversations stay strictly on topic. as long as respectful I see zero harm with politics/Covid/whatever, especially on off the wall and have been disappointed by that recently getting shut down. Politics is too wide a topic to just tuck in the corner and pretend doesn’t exist- just be kind and adult about it. Just my two cents if opening the door to a discussion on moderation and penalties. id say let points expire pretty fast if establishing thresholds for penalty
  9. Why would you wish that on josh
  10. I think you are mistaking weather for the fact that bad teams often suck even more by the end of the season
  11. very few in that number and a lot of them played with McD before. i get it, there’s some impact but less substantial then I believe most think
  12. it would be why that type of player is so valuable and he want for a pretty penny despite the headaches I think we are about to see a heavy dose of posters learning about what it takes to win 13 games instead of 9 in the nfl and actually paying attention to the nuance between our roster and other top ones now that it doesn’t feel like we are miles away anymore Yes and no on the preseason effect. a guy like Edmunds might have racked up less than a games worth of snaps in preseason. Some elf but a month into the season it’s hard to say a handful of drives against vanilla offenses going less than 110% is a game changer still
  13. Lots of comments about need and leadership... but that rams offense does that to a lot of teams and similar happened with him occasionally. Feels premature to jump to needing leadership and a guy off the street saving the defense. let them play through it a bit.
  14. he’s a good not great player, and filling a big role in a strange season while injured. and was playing against one of the better play designers and play callers. its a tough league to play consistently excellent defense in on your best days. At the moment the decks slightly stacked against him. Hopefully he gets healthy, gets good reps and settles in.
  15. Don’t like no shots at the end zone first even if you get the onside you may not get to the 15 for an easy-ish TD shot but could get a kick to tie
  16. he’s been this player for 4-5 years now. M he still CAN but with the way the teams built he won’t. The deep threats are terribly erratic and he might have the best short-mid range trio around in Thomas/cook/Kamara
  17. smart to wait til 0:01 to challenge that there
  18. Yea, I don’t mind a few plays here and there but he gets a ton for his current role. Like elite non-qb or low end qb pay. he doesn’t have the snap count or impact to be that rich - and I think he dies what he does pretty well
  19. honestly, the single play in a vacuum didn’t bug me but with the DPI on a totally uncatchable right before it’s tough to see no call even if not a huge push. It’s been really consistent like that going against them for a year and change
  20. yea I’m not sure he made it to the line of scrimmage and they gave him a full yard. Should be an easy review
  21. Saints have been abused since the rams game. among the most against them and nearly none in their favor. sure things like depth of targets matters but it’s like every borderline PI call bites them since calling out the league that was a hell of a stop
  22. It’s also very early so the “tell” could be a “set up”
  23. you really enjoy being the starter of threads
  24. Just because it could’ve worked out doesn’t mean it’s ideal. there are plenty of throws im thrilled josh can make if needed late in a game and trying to come back. many of those you don’t want to see thrown in the situation we saw there
  25. Or he just had a couple less than perfect plays coming off a bizarre offseason. but maybe he decided to start coasting 3 weeks ago. Maybe.
