Think about this - If the Bills win the next 3, they will be at 9, which is their second longest regular season winning streak EVER (had 11 in 1963-1964). I think we could lose to any of those teams if we don’t play well. Would love to get to that Lions game at 11-2 though, with a chance to knock off the league’s newest favorite in their own building.

Yea, no way 49ers will be favored over us in OP. If we can beat the 49ers, we’ll be at 10-2, and the Chiefs will likely be 11-1 by then. BUT, I agree their closing stretch of games should be much tougher than ours. We might even have wiggle room to lose one (ie Lions, although would love to beat them too), and still catch the Chiefs. In terms of the 1 seed, I’m thinking it will take 14 wins though, given where the Chiefs, Bills and even Steelers all sit today.

Something different/special about the 24 Bills

Technically 19-9 with Dorsey as OC. But do agree that Brady is running a better offense for this team than Dorsey was. -

10 games in, I think it’s safe to say the Steelers have one of the best defenses in the league. That said, I’d still take us H2H versus them, as I don’t see their offense doing too much against our defense. And Josh will be able to lead our offense to at least 20 points against them. Some things that I think are distinguishing this Bills team from others in the past include: 1. Coaching - The preparation, gameday execution AND in-game adjustments are really setting the players up for success. 2. Josh & Bernard - These two guys are the unquestioned leaders of the offense and defense. Both are taking their games to the next level, and doing the same with those around them. 3. Consistency - This team is as consistent as they come, in terms of figuring out ways to beat their opponents. And I think that’s a reflection of the depth and versatility this roster brings to the table, and again the coaching figuring out how to tap into what they have. 4. Offensive Line - One staple of the 90s Bills teams was a great offensive line. And I think we finally have an offensive line that is about as good as we’ve have in 25+ years. This opens up so much for both the run and passing games, and further lessens the chances of Josh taking hits and turning the ball over. All the above said, I don’t think we’ve seen complete greatness from this team yet. The Chiefs team we just beat has a lot of flaws at the moment. We still had some key players out too. The next few games should offer some additional tests for us, to see whether those Ravens and Texan losses were bc of the injuries or not. Can we keep the streak going right through the Lions game? -
Yea, I wonder which TD of his they were referencing.

Why would someone ask Knox how it felt to make a TD yesterday?

Great. Beane has one good day, and then just parties all night and falls asleep at the wheel. -
Generally agree with OP’s assessment. On the offensive side, need to draft another WR in the early rounds. Otherwise, fill gaps on defense like D Line, CB, etc. Luckily a lot of those picks seem like they can be for depth to start off, rather than urgent needs. Assuming the next two months don’t turn into a health ****show.

Buffalo's new "core" and future outlook

That’s very complimentary of you. In addition to what the OP noted, this team is working in a real complementary way this season too. -
Benford, Bernard & Shakir…re-sign all of them?

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy

That’s why Keon is better suited for the NFL than Worthy. He’s too slow to not get both feet in bounds.- 559 replies

The MVP Race is 3 Players & Why they Can Win
strive_for_five_guy replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
He has more than a chance. If the vote were today, Josh wins it. All the Lamar talk is way quieter after yesterday. If Josh keeps winning, I don’t think he even needs many more high stat games to win MVP. -

Win on SNF against San Fran, and then in the huge game against Detroit, it’d be hard for him not to win it almost regardless of his numbers those games. Yes, probably need to win a few of the other games (Rams, Pats x2, Jets), but a primetime win against 49ers and then beating the Lions would be huge resume builders/clinchers. Wins, the corresponding media narrative and recency bias all play into the vote that happens right after Week 17. -
It’s a tradition like none other.

Alright, well if he unfortunately wins the league MVP too because we earn the 1 seed, I won’t complain. If you claim you wouldn’t want the 1 seed over any other seed, you’re just trying to pick a fight at that point. Turning down a bye in the playoffs and home field advantage is just idiotic. -

Well if earning the 1 seed means Josh also wins MVP, I’ll take it. -

To @Governor ‘s point, that game may ultimately decide the MVP. We beat Detroit and close well in our other games, going to be tough to deny Josh as MVP. Detroit beats us and keeps on their run, Goff’s chances go up big-time. Yes Goff is driving a Ferrari, but many were ready to crown Purdy as MVP last year until he stunk up the joint against the Ravens, and Baltimore finished with the best record. -
Should be a great way to cap off Thanksgiving weekend. The crowd will be wild getting Milano back that night and coming off this win.
