Jets--they really aren't much, if at all better than Bills
Talley56 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jets fans might boo us harder than they boo the Pats next year. -
The problem you may experience is say it takes 10 years of drafting a QB every year before you finally find the right one (and as many busts as there are, this is a very real possibility). By then, since you've focused so much on QB that you're depleted in other areas. Say one of those areas is o-line. Once you finally get the great QB, maybe he leads you to wins (like Andrew Luck's first 3 years) or maybe your depleted o-line gets him killed (like Andrew Luck this year). I fear the latter happening so much that I just don't think this is a good strategy even in knowing how vital a QB is.

Not a surprise, but report is Peyton will retire
Talley56 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perhaps taking a lesson from Ray Lewis announcing he's retiring to inspire his teamates to win it all. -
As someone who probably hasn't gotten off on President's day since grade school I don't need it to extend out that long. But I guess it opens up more people (students, government employees) to stay up and watch the game plus all of the post game stuff if you're in to all of that without worrying about work the next day. Aside from Walking Dead season, yeah, I'd say you're right.

NFL Live: Bills teams worst Super Bowl opponents as per Jaws
Talley56 replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed on the 85 Pats. I know the Bears had a great defense but getting mauled that bad by Jim McMahon? Meanwhile, the Cowboys teams we lost to were loaded at just about all 22 positions. -
Lol, took me some time to realize this thread was from 3 years ago. I was especially confused when I read about taking Fitz over Cam.

The Non Pet Peeve Thread..AKA Awesome Stuff
Talley56 replied to plenzmd1's topic in Off the Wall Archives
VPN - Being able to work from home is awesome. -
I will say that while I like Cam and I'm rooting for Carolina, I wouldn't mind seeing Peyton get his 2nd ring. I may be the only one who thinks this but I believe you can make the argument that winning 2 Superbowls with 2 different teams is more impressive than winning 4 with the same team (especially when you've had the same HOF coach throughout those 4 championships).

25 Years Ago Today The Bills Were Robbed Of SB XXV
Talley56 replied to PearlHowardman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reviews and calls that go wrong on obvious calls happen all the time. If we went back through history, we could probably find calls and reviews that went our way or gave us some boost (Don Beebe stepping out of bounds before catching a big TD pass in the comeback game). That review is NOT why we lost. We were the better team for most of the season, we had plenty of opportunities, we lost fair and square. -
Super Bowl 50: Broncos vs. Panthers
Talley56 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not too many people thought Denver would beat NE and they beat them but this won't be in Denver. Carolina wins but I don't think it will be a blow out like last time (as long as Peyton doesn't give up a safety in the opening seconds of the game this time). -
Oh the irony. I don't think this was mentioned in another thread. He wanted harder extra points to give his team an advantage since they have one of the best kickers in the league and it ends up costing them. This is pretty darn awesome: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/01/25/belichick-wanted-harder-extra-points-and-he-got-them/

The fix is in- Broncos will win (ref gate)
Talley56 replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, infact Brady got away with 2 blatant intentional groundings on that last drive. If anything, they were trying to fix the game in NE's favor. -
Buffalo Bills in 2020... Make 3 Predictions
Talley56 replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder what people would have said about the Bills in 2016 if we created this topic in 2012. Would be interesting to reflect. I'll say by that point we will have made the playoffs. Either with Rex, or we will have let him go and another coach will have finally gotten us there and Tyrod will still be out QB. We will be maybe on the level of the Chiefs, good team who makes the playoffs and can contend for a SB but maybe not an elite team like Denver/NE/Arizona/Car today. As a bonus, after his surprising gold medal in the Rio 2016 Olympics, Marquise Goodwin will be going for another gold in Tokyo 2020. -
Conference Championship Games Set
Talley56 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+1 even if the Broncos win the AFC Championship game. Time for Manning and Brady to retire. -
See them get #5 to where they can basically say they were the best team of all time? No thank you, don't want to have to hear that from Patriots fans for the rest of my life.

Whew! I'm glad to see the Seahawks lose!
Talley56 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was rooting against them as well but mostly because they should have lost last week on a FG that is made probably 99.9 % of the time. Otherwise, it would have been nice to see them win one for Freddy. -
NFC Playoff: Packers at Cardinals
Talley56 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some teams just can't make winning easy on themselves. Vikings, Bengals, and Cardinals all of a history of falling short and all have just choked massively in the playoffs. -
Prayers to him, hope he gets better. #MortStrong

49ers Hire Chip Kelly as New HC
Talley56 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gabbert was actually doing pretty well there as the starter. If they do go back to Kaep with this move I'm think Gabbert isn't going to be happy being 2nd string again. -
Vikings season 4 coming 2016
Talley56 replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Some information on the premiere date and it looks like they are handling this season a little differently this time. Sounds interesting: http://www.tvguide.com/news/vikings-season-4-premiere-date/ -
RG3 as the Bills backup QB?
Talley56 replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My bad, Griffin got hurt and Cousins played in most of the game I was thinking of. -
RG3 as the Bills backup QB?
Talley56 replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You would seriously take EJ over RGIII? No one is saying RGIII is great. That's why the argument is for him to be the #2 in an offseason where there really are not many better options. He has at least one solid season under his belt as a starter. If you need RGIII to give you 2 or 3 solid to maybe even good games in the middle of the season if your starter goes down he can get you those whereas EJ proved this past year that he can't even give you that. Griffin actually beat Jacksonville. -
Good game. I was hoping Clemson would win. I tend to root for teams who haven't won in a while over teams who win all the time. Plus it's always nice to see the SEC knocked down a peg. But entertaining nonetheless.

RG3 as the Bills backup QB?
Talley56 replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Given the fact that EJ is our current backup I'm actually amazed by all the nos to be honest. If it's between him and EJ I'll take RGIII in a heartbeat.
