My son flying up Sunday from NYC. Bills fan his entire 26 year life. Meeting his College roomie who is a big Pats fan flying up from DC. They are having a mini guys weekend away from their girlfriends. A lot riding on this just between them LOL. His buddy a good kid...go easy on him !!!!

Garret part of the revolving door of coaches that will emerge elsewhere. But he's a nice guy company man. Living down state I watch the Giants a lot and Garrett wasn't one inch more creative here then he was in Dallas, where he did have a lot of weapons. Maybe Giants should hire Daboll 🙂. I'm hoping Brian D noticed as its a reminder that OCs do get fired. Gettleman probably paying the price too at the years conclusion. Judge? Another Belichek guy who is proving to be in over his head. Awful clock management, managing of time outs, and conservative as hell. Heard a great interview on Russo's show a month or so ago with an NFL insider discussing the Giants: A classic example of what can happen to a family business by it's 3rd generation of owners. First Generation builds the business, 2nd takes it over and continues building as they were there along the way as biz was built. 3RD Gen comes in having everything handed to them, never experiencing the pain of failure. They hire friends and family, are slow to hold people accountable and the business sinks into mediocrity. Giants have been awful in evaluating talent.

Not uncommon in the sporting world too. Especially Baseball. Look at the revolving door of coaches, managers etc who continually get rehired by other organizations. They are effective for awhile but eventually wear out their welcome. Or become too loyal to players who helped the turn around. Sometime they just lose the room. Billy Martin is the most extreme example. People forget Whitey Herzog was fired twice before landing with the Cards for for a decade. Even some HOF coaches may only have a 5 year shelf life in one place. In hockey I root for the Islanders (Don't crucify me fellow Bills fans 🙂 ) and think in some sense I'm seeing same thing there now with Barry Trotz. New coach comes in to a long time bad organization with an us v world mentality and installs a system the players buy into for a while, and enjoy some success. But they get careless, drift away, team starts to struggle after some success and eventually players stop listening and get entitled. I hope McD is honest enough with himself to accept feedback, criticism and make adjustments.

I said Pats because Belicek has signed other disruptive guys and handed out second chances. And to screw Bills over. I can see Odell not wanting to go there given the Rookie QB and the Pats system. I heard on WFAN yesterday the Pats reassigned someone to PS giving them an open roster spot. Hope he goes elsewhere, preferably NFC

Living downstate listening to WFAN this afternoon. The afternoon guys (Carter/Evan) are lamenting the fact that Jets will be catching a very angry Bills team at the worst time. I'm 50/50 about running down to Met Life Sunday and going. Would love nothing more than a Bills blowout to wash the stink of yesterday off ASAP, but laying an egg vs Jets will ruin me for weeks. Jet D has some players. Offense better be ready. Fairly confident D will hold Jet Offense down.

Second time in a year McCoy has come off the bench and sparked a win as a dog. Last year with Giants he beat Seahawks in Seattle. Following week....not so good. That was a tough ask for Raider. Giants home dogs, playing better and should have beaten Chiefs Monday night. Cross Country trip for a 1P EC game and it was cold here yesterday (I'm in Westchester) I was in Cooperstown Saturday night. Stopped at rest area near Newburg on way home. Place was full of Giant fans on their way down to game from Upstate. But I was surprised at how many Raider Jerseys I saw there too. Tons of them

Beane's not prioritizing the OL the elephant in the room for the entire season, but I'm putting yesterday on McD. Team was not ready to play. Seemed like there were zero adjustments made during the game. Declining the Penalty and absolutely awful management of his Time Outs are on him.

Bit of a jinx even asking this as I can see a letdown and close game. But assuming we take care of business, Get Josh out as early as possible. I voted 4Q but would be happy to start 2nd Half with backups. Think McD will have them ready to play. But any given Sunday.......

What the F*** ? "Official protector of the shield." Really? This league has a lot of bad teams. More bottom feeders than I can remember in recent memory. Too many mismatches each weekend. I never root for seeing star players out of action, injured...but that's just me. It's a karma thing. You wish this on other Teams when it can happen to your own team tomorrow. So I don't root for injuries. I'll sign up right now For Bills to see Titans with Henry in The Conference Championship game. As long as it's in Orchard Park. That's my point.

Obviously I'm torn about this. The guy is a force. A great great player. The League is worse for having a superstar out. But its better for the Bills if he's out at least for a little while. I don't want Henry to lose the season. Just a few weeks, enough to pin a few more Ls on the Titans. The playoff seeding is going to be huge and right now Tennessee is ahead of us. I want that week off and home field. While Henry beats the stuffing out of defenders and exhausts defenses, think about the pounding he and most running backs take.

I don’t want to have to go to Nashville again in January If they keep winning these close games, my hope is they wear Henry out by January
