  1. Was hoping to take him in the first but was psyched when McKelvin fell to us (most mocks had him going 5-10) and then got Hardy in the second. If memory serves no WR's went in the first...didn't check draft history to confirm though. Ok, just checked. No WR's in the first but 10 went in the second. But yea what a bad draft.
  2. It's probably the carbonation, not the beer. Maybe she can try wine instead.
  3. Not sure I agree. At least 60 people showed up for my father's 100th last month. But you are correct about the age, only a couple in their 90's. Thankfully I get a 17 month break before I have to plan Mom's 100th.
  4. This is the type of story the OP was looking for. Funny how these type of things stay with us. Nice memory.
  5. That's good parenting on your mother's part. My fraternal grandparents were from Poland as well.
  6. I gave up drinking and coffee for 33 days from late-November to late December, which included 3 Bills home-game tailgates. I'll give up drinking at least 12 days during lent to make up the difference. Not committing to which 12. Not giving up coffee again if I can help it.
  7. So, 3 pages and no one has pointed out that Foles was drafted in the third and Brady the sixth? Guess we shouldn't draft QB's before round 3?
  8. Golf tournament. Sadly, they've done away with the Saturday Caddie races, always one of the highlights of the PGA season. Wednesday must have been the pro-Am.
  9. So am I the only one that thinks the whole thing was staged in an effort to get the public on Brady's side? Kidding, kidding, leave the kids out of it. Remeir or whatever his name is will be looking for a new career soon.
  10. For all of the "cheating" the patriots have done over the years, the thing they have benefitted most from is perfectly legal. Brady was the 15th highest paid qb in 2017. This allows NE to sign free agents to contracts that other teams can't match because of salary cap and having big bucks invested in their quarterbacks. While perfectly legal, not having huge $ tied up in their franchise quarterback has given NE a big advantage in free agency.
  11. Knew Jordan tried baseball for a couple years, never realized he played football.
  12. My co-worker lives in Attica, was a big fan or the Attica hotel. Unfortunately the deal to reopen fell through. She says Louie's lounge is right around the corner from the hotel on 98. American Legion is right across the street from Louie's. She prefers Louie's.
  13. You're welcome glad you enjoyed it
  14. was thinking the samething. Dueling banjos is the last pleasant thing in the movie, got creepy as soon as the song ended when the kid wouldn't shake hands (if memory serves)
  15. Just my guess, the next time he steps on the field will be for his WOF induction ceremony.
  16. Loved him in Coach http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/democratandchronicle/obituary.aspx?n=jerry-van-dyke&pid=187759364
  17. Nice article thanks for sharing.
  18. Fortunately there really aren't any bad choices, just differing degrees of good choices. I'll either be at O'loughlin's in Northwest Irondequoit or The Craft in Niagara Falls. Heard they're having a tailgate on the patio starting at 10:00 AM. Same guy that plays at the 97 Rock Party at the Big Tree Inn on game day will be playing.
  19. Awesome...Wouldn't have wanted to be the next caller
  20. At the party I was at last nite a guy received a picture in a text from his eighteen year old son of the kid's ultrasound that said "here's a picture of me the last time the Bills made the playoffs"
  21. Took Eric Moulds until year three to really blossom. Just sayin,' give the guy a chance. Not like he's from a big time school, might be a bit overwhelmed this year.
  22. For any baseball enthusiasts I highly recommend The Battered Bastards of Baseball. True documentary about an independent class A minor league team owned by Kurt Russell's father Bing. Not a farm team to anyone, the team played for five seasons in the 70's.
  23. must be the roster move they weren't gong to make at this time by moving Glenn to IR
  24. My urologist "suggested" I stop drinking alcohol and caffeine for a while. My reaction was I drink 4 things-Beer, wine, coffee, and water. He told me I can still drink water. Or herbal tea. That was on my 61st birthday 4 weeks ago today. Literally drank tea (herbal of course) at the last two pre and post game tailgates. Suffice it to say tea is not my cup of tea. Hopefully he gives me a green light to at least drink alcohol when I see him next week. 60's have been great, can hardly wait for my 70's!
