  1. Years later, when the USFL was folding and Kelly was coming to the NFL, there was talk of Oakland being a place he would like to play. Al Davis said it would never happen because "Ralph Wilson still hasn't forgiven me for Daryl Lamonica" Part of a draft special showed the Seattle war room before that the Russell Wilson pick. It showed Buffalo trading up and everyone in the Seattle war room was convinced they had lost out on Wilson because it was common knowledge the Bills liked him. Painful to watch even years after the pick.
  2. Me too. I don't even know if EDM is a musical group or recreational drug.
  3. He was a coaching intern for Clemson last year. Don't know about now.
  4. It's great that he realized how to make 12M last a lifetime. How often do you hear about athletes who have made way more than that being broke? Peerless Price, Mike Tyson, Allen Iverson, TO, Christian Laettner just off the top of my head. I've always thought that I can see every million up to the 5 making a difference in my life. After that it would just be making a difference in persons I know lives.
  5. Bookend DE = Michael Bennett Jr. (3x pro bowler, super bowl ring)
  6. I've had enough of QB's with accuracy issues "...Area code accuracy -- short throws are often low or wide, preventing receivers from making a play after the catch. Deep ball accuracy is uneven as well..." http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/ej-manuel?id=2539228 That being said, EJ may have been the best quarterback to come out of the 2013 draft
  7. actually it probably is, or at least close
  8. Check out the TD pass he makes for Houston starting at 3:42 of the video. No wonder that league didn't last, stands are almost empty. Compare that with the game day crowd of what I'm guessing was his first home game for the Bills starting at 4:15.
  9. A friend suggested I fly to NC as the flight it is only $60 round trip. Told her I don't fly. She told me my chances of dying in a car crash are astronomically higher than dying in a plane crash. I told her duh...just finished telling you I don't fly, if course my chances of dying in a car crash are higher. Unless the plane crashes into me my chances of dying in a plane crash are virtually zero. Some people.
  10. Immediately thought of this when I saw the topic. Loved it. "Bears derive their name from a football team in Chicago"
  11. Yeah he was going to be my pick, since there was only two pages thought I would check to see if anyone else had picked him. If memory serves, we signed Panos, free agent from the Bears. Bears signed Ruben Brown, free agent from the Bills. Basically a trade of guards. Thought he was going to be really good.
  12. As I was reading this I remembered a college friend (back in the 70's) that was in constant pain after an operation. After a couple weeks they finally did an x-ray and saw a clamp hadn't been removed.
  13. Yup. From Notre Dame. Technically he resigned, but it was because the lies on his resume were discovered. So the answer to the OP's question is yes. http://www.nytimes.com/2001/12/15/sports/notre-dame-coach-resigns-after-5-days-and-a-few-lies.html
  14. Eric has been a class act ever since arriving in Buffalo. Hope something can be worked out.
  15. Hopefully the bars will start to clear out by then.
  16. My bad...I stand corrected
  17. Murph discussed this on his show. Said they met and spent time at the combine a few years ago. They spent the week calling each other Murph. But they're not related.
  18. Can't imagine he's in it for the money at this point. Hope the gets his super bowl ring!!
  19. I do one thing at a time, I to it very well, and then I move on. Go to 2:05
  20. add 2010 Tim Tebow to the list. Guess he would be a bust despite over 50% win record
  21. Don't forget Marcell Dareus for a fifth rounder...
  22. Has anyone besides Ditka in the "I'll trade the entire draft for Ricky Williams" deal ever stated an intent to move up before the deal was done?
  23. In the same manner as Ronnie Harmon will always be remembered for the drop, Orton will always be remembered for the slide.
  24. He said the same thing about EJ DRAFT ANALYSIS: "You can mold him into something really special. He's raw, but he's that piece of clay where you take him and you can turn him to what you want." -- Mike Mayock http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/ej-manuel?id=2539228
  25. BB isn't trading to a team in the division. The current regime isn't trading assets for someone that can't stay on the field. Part of the reason they moved on from Watkins and Gaines.
