  1. Hindsight is 20/20 and it is not an easy call by any means. They chose to punt and the Chargers made them pay for it. Who knows what would have happened if they had taken the offsides and gone for it. Might have been a whole different game.
  2. This week will be a true test. How well can they bounce back? I'm hoping that they can put this one behind them and come out strong in Houston, but losses like this one where you are completely overmatched and dominated have a tendency to affect a team's confidence and they tend to linger. Hoping for them to be hot early on in Houston and build on that.
  3. I gotta say, I didn't even notice. As a matter of fact, I didn't even notice Williams at all on Sunday. Did he actually play in the game?
  4. +1
  5. This is a Buffalo Bills discussion forum. This is where people go to vent after both good and bad performances. After a good game, naturally they have good things to say. After a bad performance, predictably, they have a lot to complain about. I agree that the Chargers are a good team. Are you saying that we shouldn't expect the Bills to play well against good teams? That we shouldn't expect them to step up their game and be able to win against a good team at home? I for one expected the Chargers to be a tough opponent. I also expected the Bills to rise to the occasion and play them tough. They failed to do so and as a fan, I am not happy with their performance. As far as I have seen, all of the complaints that you mentioned were legitimate complaints after yesterday. The CB's played poorly, the O-Line played poorly and EJ played poorly. I'm sure most of us will have plenty of time to get ready for next week. Right now, we are taking some time to vent about a pitiful performance by our team.
  6. DB's were awful yesterday. LB's not much better. D-Line looked good as always. Having said that, I agree that this loss fall right at the feet of the offense. O-Line was terrible and EJ wasn't much better if at all. Just a stinker of a game for the offense.
  7. So you didn't see EJ missing wide open receivers? I agree, it wasn't all his fault. The O-Line was manhandled and Gilmore and McKelvin didn't cover all day, but EJ was really, really bad.
  8. This was an ugly, ugly game. It was an opportunity to show that things have changed at One Bills Drive and that this is a different team. Unfortunately they proved just the opposite. Same old same old, quality opponent, completely dominated. Next week becomes a very big game for this team now. Let's see if they can respond.
  9. This is the same Chargers team that dominated Seattle last week. They are a good team. The Bills did not play well yesterday and when you play poorly against a good team, you generally get beat. Now let's see how they respond and if they can bounce back. If they can, great, if not, it may be another long season.
  10. OK so on to next week. This one has been ugly all the way around.
  11. This is painful to watch. The D just cannot stop SD at all.
  12. So far, they are not up to the task. This is a good SD team and the Bills have got to step up their game in the second half. Let's hope they can do that.
  13. Not exactly the ideal start. SD making it look easy on both sides of the ball so far.
  14. Bottom line is that the Chargers are a good team and the Bills need to play a solid game in order to have a chance to beat them.
  15. I am enthusiastic each and every Sunday, regardless of record. I recognize that it is a long season and anything can happen. Still always hoping for the best and past seasons have literally no impact on that.
  16. Teams are trying to make EJ throw to beat them. Playing the run heavily on first and second downs and it is working. Time to start throwing a bit more on first and second down instead of waiting for third and long.
  17. Thanks. Further down in this thread someone said the official was not running in the white zone and ran into Smith, then called a foul on him. Seems consistent with the rest of the way they called this game, but it doesn't matter, we are 2-0 and could not have started the season any better.
  18. If I remember correctly, EJ missed a couple of throws early in the game that could have resulted in TD's instead of FG's. I don't think it was necessarily the play calling, but execution that cost them in the red zone.
  19. I think everyone that was watching the game, except the officials saw that one. I didn't get nearly that upset, just chalked it up to a blown call, which seems to happen a lot over the course of a game. I'm with you though, if everyone watching saw it, how did the officials not see it? And I'm still scratching my head over the unsportsmanlike call on the C.J. touchdown. Still don't know who did what to whom to get that call.
  20. Not to mention that he looks like he's running in quick sand and falls down the minute he is touched, but other than that, he's great, lol. But it was a nice catch and he had a great day.
  21. The penalty hurt as always. Good field position. Defense on the field too long. Result = Touchdown Miami. Why do we always commit stupid ass penalties after touchdowns? Now they're right back in it.
  22. Sorry didn't intend for it to be taken as fact. It looked bad to me and like I said, happy I was wrong.
  23. Ok I was wrong and glad that I was.
  24. Did you not see the play? It looks worse to me than the last two times he came out of the game. I wouldn't risk getting him hurt any further, just let it heal. Yes it is my opinion. Is this not an opinion board? Do we need to wait for and official diagnosis before posting our opinons here now?
