  1. OK that was pretty bad. Wasn't exactly expecting a win today, but that was a pretty bad throw. Can't be giving away TD's playing against this D.
  2. Orton is under contract for next season as well, so yes, we do have a QB. This movegives the Bills a real chance to win the division this year, which EJ was not going to be able to do. I see no downside in this at all. It was the right move at the right time.
  3. Completely disagree. This team needs to win right now and they have the talent to win right now. EJ was holding them back and that was obvious the past two weeks. Both of those games were winnable and in both instances EJ was the primary culprit for losing. It was the right time to make a change in order to give the team a chance to win this year. EJ may or may not be able to keep developing and learn from Orton and he may or may not come back better for it. But that is for later. Like I said, this move gives the team it's best chance to win right now.
  4. Of course it doesn't. EJ did not play up to expectations so they benched him. It doesn't mean his career is over, just means he needs to step back for awhile and learn from a veteran. Most successful QB's in the league have gotten to do that. I think it is a smart move and will make EJ a better QB in the long run.
  5. Disagree that this is not a playoff team with a decent QB. The Defense gave up sixteen points yesterday and 20 the week before. Both were winnable games. Plug in a decent QB and this team is 4-0 heading to Detroit.
  6. I have become less emotionally invested as I have gotten older, but it is still frustrating to watch your team blow a very winnable game. The discouraging thing about this loss is that EJ's poor play is continuing and I don't see him ever being better than what he is right now. This season will only get worse with him at the helm and they will continue to lose, which definitely puts a damper on my Sunday football viewing.
  7. I don't miss Fitz and I don't want EJ either. This was a huge disappointment. Both played pretty badly, but EJ was worse.
  8. It wasn't the play calling that threw the ball directly to Watt from the 12 yard line and it wasn't the play calling that was missing wide open recievers and not seeing others all day long. That my friend rests solely on the shoulders of one EJ Manuel. He was absolutely horrible and it would not have mattered one iota what plays were called. He just flat out can not execute them.
  9. Completely disagree. I have seen Orton play and he is way more able to hit open receivers than EJ. LIke Fitz, EJ seems to be a nice guy, just can't play QB. It wasn't the O-line that was missing wide open receivers and throwing the ball right at Watt from the 12 yard line. That would be EJ and Orton IMO would not do that. He has a history of being able to manage a game and not making big mistakes. And hell, he can't be any worse at hitting wide open receivers. I say give him a shot. Sit EJ down and let him watch for awhile. Maybe he can come back and be better, but right now he is just plain inept.
  10. So disappointed in this team. They looked so good the first two weeks and absolutely stunk it up the last two. They don't look like a playoff caliber team again this year and that is very discouraging. EJ Manuel has got to be benched. He can't hit the broadside of a barn. The D played well again today, just as they have all season, but with EJ at the helm, this offense is just plain terrible. He has got to go.
  11. That last play looked an awful lot like something Fitz would do. I have lost all faith in EJ. The last two weeks did it for me. Before that I was defending him and saying give him time. Now I don't believe any amount of time will ever make him a good QB. Why the hell can't we draft a decent QB? It's been years since Kelly retired and we haven't had a decent one since, with the possible exception of Flutie.
  12. Really need a play here.
  13. Hackett is not the problem. EJ couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. He has been absolutely terrible.
  14. EJ has got to recognize that and get out of that call.
  15. This is where it ends folks. Houston scores and it's all over.
  16. Don't even know what to say about that. Let's hope that wakes them up a bit.
  17. That's two drops from Sammy already. He's got to make those catches if we have a chance. Can't keep giving the ball back to Houston. Eventually they will take advantage.
  18. I think it's called Billsoptimistitis. I always believe they will win even when I really know they probably won't.
  19. I didn't say you were a Democrat. I said your respone sounded like talking points from the Democratic Party. Just curious, how do you know if they are a good news source if you don't watch? And by the way, there is a difference between reporting the news on a network and the opinon shows that are also on cable news networks. They are not reporting the news on those shows, but they are talking about it and stating their opinions. If you don't agree with their opinion then fine, that is your right, but please don't confuse it with actual news reporting. Regardless, we can agree that we want the Bills to win this week and I am done talking about the news. This thread was about Buffalo getting a #2 ranking as one of the best tailgaiting cities in the country. That is a pretty good thing IMO.
  20. Gee so you don't like Fox News? I won't debate you on the merits of various news outlets because this is a Buffalo Bills forum, but your response made me laugh. It sounds like a talking point from the Democratic party. And like I said, I knew that there would be at least one person that had to disparage Fox News instead of enjoying the #2 ranking.
  21. I knew the Fox News comment was coming from someone. Thank you for not disappointing me.
  22. Look, we all saw what Fitzpatrick can and can't do. That's why he is no longer here. EJ is definitely a better option at this point. He may not be great, but at least he does not have a penchant for making huge mistakes that end up losing winnable games. That is Fitz's Achilles heel. He is a streaky QB that can be good when he's hot, but also is absolutely horrible the rest of the time. I'll take Manuel both today and in the future. Hands down.
