    I think it gets overlooked that Buddy Nix is respected around the league. The Bills need legitimacy and Buddy at least brings certain level of credibility to whatever he does.

    I don't buy into 'savior' players. Mario Williams is a an amazing talent and would be a tremendous upgrade, but the idea that he comes in and fixes the problems with the Bills Defense all on his own is a leap. Williams is the player you bring in to put you over the top.

    Some people are absolutely afraid of the Bills ever becoming a decent team again because it takes away one more excuse for their own misery. Depression is difficult to deal with and if 'being negative' gets him through one more day then we should be supportive.

    being aggressive doesn't mean what a lot of you think it does. Read the whole thing. They are still targeting the same players, just moving more quickly to get them.

    It's a question of value. Freeney's value to the Bills isn't as high as club's looking for one piece to get over the top.

    You're missing a big point about those two teams. A lot of those free agents weren't day 1 blockbuster break the bank free agents. Philly got overpriced, overhyped free agents.

    Tv Announcer: "The Patriots look confused out there" I understand. They have to be wondering why the heck the refs are actually calling penalties on them. Probably checking to see who was supposed to send out the bribe this week.

    A guy who is looking for a new contract...I'm sure it never crossed his or his agent's mind. It's amazing how he is 'stopping the antics' and 'just wants to do good things' now after a year where he didn't exactly light it up.

    Is it a surprise that the Bills struggle against more physical teams? This is the reason they wanted to get 'bigger'. Look at the teams that the Bills have had difficulty with and it's the teams that are physical. Not 'good' teams, but 'good, physical' teams.
