  1. I don't know how this eludes so many people on this board. They knew exactly what so many were proclaiming prior to the season that the Bills were going to be bad. So why make poor decisions trying to 'win' this year (and ruining their draft position!). This board is more inconsistent than Trent Edwards at QB. Low guaranteed money, and backloaded on salary. They can cut him in a couple years if he doesn't perform. After getting over the sticker shock, take a look at the deal again. He ended up basically getting less than 500k a year increase and put a lot of 'power' in the Bills hands on whether he gets that money.
  2. Maybe you missed the part where they tried that here and the fans threw a hissy? Anyways, they have every right to sue, but I dislike the whole sue everybody I can possibly think of that could maybe, hopefully be held liable and hope they settle lawsuits
  3. There is very little difference now. Many writers (or 'columnists') had the benefit of working for a gatekeeper who gave them access and a podium. Now we're seeing many writers who made a living this way exposed now that they have to compete. I think we know a few of those who have been exposed. It's confusing now because you have a lot of leftovers from the old media business and they're trying to convert. Some do a good job others do a ridiculously horrible job (ie anyone writing one of the 'logs' for ESPN). People make a living at it because of the same reason people make a living at most things. They got in on it somewhere along the way. The same reason many people here work in an office and file TPS reports..
  4. Lynch's rushing stats are lower than Michael Vicks
  5. Because the turnovers have nothing to do with points scored? Because New England is having a great year of offense? Because other co-ordinators have been so stellar at stopping their offense?
  6. I'm still trying to figure out the point of this thread
  7. Flash? Are you sending Flash memory sticks to him for some reason? I am not sure what this will accomplish
  8. You don't pay 7 million for a safety unless he's a game changer.
  9. everytime I think I've seen the silliest thing I can on these boards, someone ups the ante
  10. I don't think they will win since the Pats have something to play for, but I think they will make a game of it.
  11. No way I give him 5 million. I'm willing to lose another 'Star' if he wants more than that. I could manage to swallow 5 million a year, but if he thinks that is 'far off' then he is obviously looking for the payday that some team will inexplicably give him in free agency.
  12. If Donte told this stuff to a reporter, he'd be eviscerated. Twitter is the same thing as leaking it to a reporter. The 'twitter' thing works in reverse that way too. Athletes get a pass because it's 'only' twitter. I think you're glossing over the key aspect. Donte is 'negotiating' in public and given his history of clamoring for attention and getting depressed because fans said mean things about him on twitter, he does not present a good image. If you don't believe his 'image' matters, well, then it's just a jump to the left and a step to the right.
  13. Since you somehow didn't take your own suggestion, I decided to do it for you and typed exactly as you suggested, 'mcnabb to buffalo'. The first article is about McNabb's impending release from Washington and how the Bills should pass. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/20101219/SPORTS0101/12190370/1007/SPORTS/Buffalo-Bills-should-pass-on-fading-QB-Donovan-McNabb The second article is about McNabb being *in* Buffalo...to watch his niece in a basketball game. http://www.wkbw.com/sports/85333467.html The third article is from the bleacher report saying he read articles that speculated McNabb could be a Buffalo Bill. Pay attention to the word 'speculated' as we'll come back to it later. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/340592-donavan-mcnabb-a-buffalo-bill The 4th is also from bleacher report expressing that the Bills and Raiders are the only teams interested with no accounting of where that comes from... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/369492-donovan-mcnabb-to-buffalo The 5th article is from Buffalo Rumbling and is a forum thread http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/3/24/1387940/mcnabb-to-buffalo It goes on with more articles about McNabb being in Buffalo and Shefter tweeting about it...for the previously mentioned basketball game. So, the entire Bills pursued McNabb comes down to two lines. A tweet about McNabb being on a plane to Buffalo (Niece's basketball game) and Yahoo Sports reporting that the Bills 'inquired' about McNabb (unsourced btw). I'd suggest the next time you suggest someone to go 'google' something that you actually do it yourself, lest you look foolish.
  14. Ralph may not any disease destroying his mind, but this guy sure does...Holy...
  15. Can we get back to the important topic at hand, Trent Edwards and how he looked on Sunday?
  16. I think the important thing about that is that 'good' teams can power through one struggling area and pick it up elsewhere which the passing game and defense did to get the win.
  17. Cowher is linked to various jobs all the time. I think we should know by now that until there is a actual source for these rumors that you shouldn't expect anything.
  18. Maybe he just hasn't needed to be the best player on the team lately
  19. I figured they were in the 3-5 win range. I was hoping to see some improvement and some semblance of a plan of what type of team they would be and it seems to be going that way.
  20. Indeed, there's a number of better options than WGR
