  1. My reaction: -Kelsay, Mcgee, Fitzpatrick and Brad Smith should be cut outright -BIlls will likely let Barnett walk aftenext season making LB a top priority in the draft and FA (its huge position of need anyways) -The bills are going to have to choose between resigning Levitre or Wood. I chose Wood (he'll be cheaper b/c he wont want to risk injury next season) -Jairus Byrd absolutely must be resigned. -CJ Spiller has a longer contract then I thought, I think we should look into giving him a long term deal after he carries the main workload for a whole year -Mario is expensive but was worth the money.
  2. one offensive player in the top 15, thats pretty nuts.
  3. Im pretty pumped. My philosophy with football is you have to play aggressive in all three phases of the game. You have to take chances down the field on offense and you have to blitz and hit hard on defense. I hate the Cover 2, I hate conservatism, I hate playing not to lose. Sean Payton, Bill Belichick, Mike McCarthy are coaches i admire, I detest coaches like Tony Dungy, Tom Coughlin, Lovie Smith, Dick Jauron, Jim Caldwell, Leslie Frazier etc. Marrone looks like he is everything I would want if I was the one hiring a coach. We need a QB desperately because Fitz sucks, but Brandon has me believing were finally headed in the right direction....again.

  5. Per Rotoworld.com Paul Posluszny set the Jaguars unofficial franchise record for tackles (231), breaking Hardy Nickerson's 2001 record of 230. The Jacksonville coaching staff was liberal in their tackle count, also awarding WLB Russell Allen (201) the third-highest total in franchise history. The Florida Times-Union suggests there may have been some "fuzzy math" on Posluszny's total, as he broke Nickerson's record by one tackle. Posluszny graded out near the bottom of Pro Football Focus' ratings for 2012. Poz is terrible in coverage and was never worth the $ the Jags gave him. The bills screw up a lot resigning their own guys but they made the right decision letting him walk away.
  6. After thinking about Brandons comments about our tarnished brand and how we need to become innovative and incorporate advanced statistics....Im starting to think that Kelly is the Bills #1 target for the HC job. I think they are going to be giving him the full court press today much like they did to Mario Williams. You gotta give Russ Brandon credit, he knows how to sell something. I dont think theres anyone better to sell the job of Buffalo Bills Head coach. The one thing we do know is that this is Brandons undertaking, not Nix's
  7. Dont get me wrong its a genuine act of kindness but is auctioning off a pair of cleats by a mult-imillion dollar athlete really such a great thing that it deserves a story?
  8. I think the Patriots are the clear cut favorite and the only team capable of beating them is Denver, so I will be pulling for Denver. In the NFC I think the Falcons get over the hump. The see saw that is the Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady has been tilting more and more to the Brady side the past couple years. Balance must be restored to the greatest QB of all time debate Denver over Atlanta. Manning MVP
  9. No thank you. Phillip Rivers is in the same boat as Carson Palmer: An aging prototypical pocket passer with a couple excellent seasons on his resume but also a declining skill set, poor awareness, failures in the biggest games, and a questionable attitude. If we want to have sustained success over the next 10-12 years, Phillip Rivers cannot be part of our plans.
  10. clarence kids in general are a different breed of spoiled. Blake Williams had the most famous person in town as his father. From what I heard he was a troublemaker and butted heads with a lot of different people. I personally witnessed him get in an altercation with somebody in our cafeteria. Just look at bounty gate and how disgraceful his dad is. The apple doesnt fall too far from the tree....
  11. Gregg Williams Jr went to my high school (clarence) when his dad was HC of the Bills. Typical jock douchebag who beat up people...looked like he took steroids...silver spoon in his mouth...played WR but wasnt very good...etc. Just another one of those kids who lives off of their parents.
  12. If you want to get the best Chip Kelly has to be target #1. There are tons of good coaches out there but there are only a few who qualify as "genius". Chip Kelly is an offensive innovator and was one step ahead of all other offenses at the college level. The NFL is trending towards the spread and its where the best talent will be in future years' drafts. Hiring chip is bold and could lead to mega success. A no brainer IMO
  13. I hated Dick Jauron, I dont hate Chan Gailey. I really thought our comeback win against the Pats was the turning point for this regime and our franchise. We all knew Fitz wasnt the answer but I bet most of us didnt envision him regressing as badly as he has this year. I bet if the Bills could do it over again they would have never had David Lee tinker with his arm. He was never that accurate to begin with but this year he literally could not throw a ball past 15 yards with any sort of accuracy or timing.
  14. its ridiculous that the NFL makes season ticket holders pay for preseason games. IF the bills wanna practice playing football during these games, then tickets to preseason games should be 10 dollars at most.
  15. It is what it is: Preseason Theres no proof that the bills have even prepared a gameplan for any of these games. Sure I'm a bit worried like the rest of you guys, but lets be realistic here...Edwards completed 65.5% of his passes last year with Josh Reed and Roscoe Parrish as his #2 Wr's and robert royal as his tight end. Our team has improved, maybe with less experience, but thats why they play these preseason games. ITS PRESEASON FOR A REASON GUYS!
  16. anybody have a direct link to the game for any of these pages?
  17. In a nutshell: Hell yes we have taken too many DB's. Unless Whitner somehow becomes a playmaker this year, which I doubt because he hasn't even come close his first 3 years in the league, we should have never passed on Ngata. Imagine what our D would look like if we had him and stroud paired together. Our depth is scary thin on the oline, but were pretty well stacked everywhere else. Hopefully we get lucky injury wise this year and can add more depth in the 2010 draft.
  18. Good post. You gotta take into account that McGee is still a dynamite kick returner as well as a better CB then Greer. IMO Florence was a bargain considering how much money the jags threw at him just last year, and he provides depth until youboty proves he can stay healthy or Reggie Corner/Lankster takes over.
  19. Because it was either him or Mcgee. McKelvin is penciled in as a starter for the next 4 years, and Id rather have McGee paired with him then Greer. Dont get me wrong, Greers a good player and he worked his tail off to get where he is now...but the Bills made the right decision by letting him walk, unless of course they reward McGee with a Chris Kelsay type of megadeal that he doesn't deserve. You can make the argument that the bills overpaid for Lee Evans too, but in todays NFL thats what you have to do to keep your core players together.
  20. Jeeze guys it's just preseason. Remember when everyone thought the skins would go to the superbowl when they set preseason records with spurrier
