  1. QBS: Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Luck, Wilson RBS: McCoy WRS: Calvin, D Thomas, Green TE: Gates, Graham. DT: Watt DE: V Miller, D Ware, LBS: Willis CBS: Sherman, Revis Safeties: None....were really in a dead era as far as elite safeties go. Special Teams: Hester Head Coach: Belichick, Couglin I know its early, but is M Dareus entering the DT conversation as well?
  2. Its kinda sad in a way but his run kinda summed up his career in buffalo. Gets you excited with his potential but ultimately didnt get the job done (honestly thought he wouldnt be caught from behind) That said hes a genuinely good guy who did everything that was asked of him by the team, he played WR and never complained about lack of touches, if hes not back with us next year I wish him nothing but the best.
  3. 50 seconds on the clock and the Bills have two timeouts. Marrone elects to let the vikings run the clock down. Meanwhile, im screaming at the TV for him to call a timout. If Walsh misses the kick we get the ball at the 45ish yardline with 50 seconds and 1 timeout to move down the field. Bad coaching. Even if he makes it we stil have time to go down the field from our own 20 Anyone else go nuts about this?
  4. With spiller spinning his wheels I dont see why they dont start giving touches to Brown to see if he can make things happen between the tackles. If im whaley im actively shopping spiller to other GM's for a guard or draft pick.
  5. Im pretty sure us fans have been clamoring for this since we read about the struggles at guard during training camp. Why did it take them so long to give this a consideration???!?!?!! UGHHH IT NEVER ENDS WITH THIS FRANCHISE.
  6. I mean the guy has a point. Everyone wants to burn whaley for missing on EJ but there are several GM's who have missed on their first "franchise QB" of choice. If you look at the overall picture, Whaley has done a fantastic job of building our roster depth, specifically at the DL, WR, LB and CB positions. Jerry Hughes, Keith Rivers, Kiko Alonso etc are all very solid things hes done in his short time as the guy in charge. Ozzie Newsome: Kyle Boller/Joe Flacco John Schneider: Charlie Whitehurst/Russel Wilson Howie Roseman: Michael Vick/ NIck Foles Rick Speilman: Christian Ponder/ Teddy Bridgewater Jeff Ireland: Chad Henne/Matt Moore/ Ryan Tannehill.
  7. Or you could let him gut it out for 2 weeks because hes better than anyone else we have and then let him get his rest during the bye week. A gamer like spikes isnt going to let you sit him just because his ribs are sore. Come on man
  8. Yes he does. The final patriots touchdown Duke Williams completely took the play off. If he ran he would have stopped the TD. That is a bench-able offence IMO terrible game.
  9. Try using tunein radio on Torontos 590 the fan, i havent personally used it but I think it should circumvent the NFLs blockade.
  10. To an extent. Some RBs are their teams entire offense and are worth the chunk of change. The way Murray is being used and the production he is giving the Cowboys, he deserves to be paid like the top 5 RB that he is. A great RB can still carry a team in todays NFL, and i think the concept that the single lead back being dead is far overblown. Some backs are just worth having on the field as often as possible and some backs are able to handle that workload without injury
  11. personally i dont give a damn what any of the players think of EJ. I think EJ stinks and Orton gives us a much better chance of making the playoffs. If EJ is going to be an NFL starter he will use this whole situation to improve himself...honestly at this point do we as Bills fans even care if he salvages his career?f Anything we get out him at this point is a bonus
  12. GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills were without a pair of defensive starters at Wednesday's practice. Defensive tackle Kyle Williams and linebacker Nigel Bradham, who both left Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans with knee injuries, were in the practice bubble while the rest of the team was on the field. Bradham, who was wearing a brace on his left knee, worked with trainers. Starting left guard Chris Williams (back) and special teams ace Marcus Easley (knee) also remained out. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (concussion) and linebacker Randell Johnson (knee) were both back at practice Wednesday. so they dont appear season ending, othewise they wouldnt even be there.
  13. Yes I am. I had no confidence that Manuel would lead us to victory the entirety of both the Chargers and Texans games. Our defense hand delivered a victory to our offense this past weekend after the Fitzpatrick INT, and Manuel threw the game away in one play. Hes 24 years old and it will not hurt his career prospects one bit by benching him. By making the change now we give our team a chance to still make the playoffs and end the circus now before it got out of hand. The spotlight is off EJ now and he can sit back and focus on what he needs to work at to become a legit NFL QB, because he is not even close to one right now. It also says to me that our current front office and coach are quick to acknowledge their mistakes and move on. Its a big blemish on Whaleys record right now, but he still built a very solid football team and made the move to get Orton in the first place. If Orton brings us to the playoffs nobody will care about him missing on Manuel. Also, Orton is only 31 years old if he plays competently he could be our starter for a few years while we look for someone else.
  14. Paul Kuharsky: I'll be very surprised if they make the move this week. But I do think Andy Levitre has to start playing better or he's in trouble. On the radio Friday, I asked GM Ruston Webster how much the big investment they made in Levitre as a free-agent signee last year preserves his status. He said everyone has to play well and contribute to wins and pointed out the Titans have invested a great deal into Taylor Lewan as well. http://espn.go.com/blog/tennessee-titans/post/_/id/9467/mailbag-on-poor-starts-for-hunter-levitre?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed
  15. Were 2-1 and tied for first place in the divison. Look at the teams with worse records than ours: Indianapolis, San Francisco, Kansas City, Green Bay, New Orleans its a 16 game season for a reason and the league is filled with parity, anything can happen on any given sunday. I mean, look at the Panthers on SNF, they look 10x worse than we do and we all know they are one of the elite NFC teams. New Orleans had trouble putting down Minnesota at home and lost to the cleveland browns. Take one game at a time, accept the results (win or lose) and move on to the next week. The bills will bounce back. Hit the panic button if we drop below .500
  16. CBS 11 Houston reports Adrian Peterson is being investigated for another child abuse accusation involving one of his other sons. According to the news station, one of Peterson's four-year-old son's was disciplined by Peterson for cursing at one of his siblings. The boy sustained a scar over his right eye. Peterson has at least five children with multiple different women, and is believed to have as many as seven kids out of wedlock. If more information comes to light, the Vikings could discipline Peterson yet again. per rotoworld.com The four-year-old is by a different mother than the alleged victim in the Montgomery County case, in which Peterson is charged with felony injury to a child. In that case,Peterson admits to repeatedly striking the boy with a tree branch or "switch," but has maintained he did not intend to harm the child, and was using his judgment as a parent to discipline his son. The latest incident allegedly occurred last June, while the boy, who lives out of state, was visiting Peterson at his gated home in The Woodlands. A photo, allegedly texted by Peterson to the boy's mother, shows a head wound to the boy covered by two bandages. Other photos, allegedly taken weeks later, reveal a scar over his right eye. The text messages also describe an exchange about what happened. They contain numerous misspellings and shorthand: Mother: "What happened to his head?" ]Peterson: "Hit his head on the Carseat." Mother: "How does that happen, he got a whoopin in the car." Peterson: "Yep." Mother: "Why?" Peterson: "I felt so bad. But he did it his self." The text messages go on to show Peterson saying he was disciplining his son for cussing to a sibling.} Continued at: http://www.khou.com/...r-old/15693941/
  17. In two games we knocked out B Marshall, A Jeffery, K Moreno and L Miller. We are physically out performing other teams and initiating very physical contact. If they can play with this attitude all season long, and respond with even more intensity when we inevitably face adversity, then we just may be heading somewhere in January.
  18. A man taps Jones on the shoulder, says Adrian Peterson wants to say hello and hands over an iPhone. Jones says hi to the Minnesota Vikings' star running back and listens, nodding but not smiling. "Well, I understand, Adrian," he says into the phone. The slanted smile returns. "I'd like that, too. ... Well, I love your story. I love your daddy's story. I've always respected what you've been about. I've always been a fan of yours." Listening to half the conversation, it is obvious Peterson is telling Jones he wants to play for the Cowboys. Peterson, 29, is in the fourth year of a seven-year, $100 million contract that will pay him $11.75 million this autumn to play for the Vikings. "Well, we'll see what we can do, if we can make that happen," Jones is now saying. "Hmm-hmm. ... I'd like that, too. ... Well, we're talking pig Latin here, but let's see if we can do that." Jones listens, nods and says again, "We're talking pig Latin here, but let's see what we can do about that. OK, Adrian, thanks." Seems like AP knew this was coming down the pipeline and has already been sending out flyers around the league to see if anyone would sign him. You think he knows hes going to be released?
  19. I think there is a very real chance peterson doesnt play for the whole year, maybe even longer. Those pictures are very incriminating. It doesnt matter if he "did not intend" to hurt the kid, he freakin went way overboard and what he did was child abuse. Just close your eyes for a minute and imagine yourself standing next to the kid as AP did this...Do you feel uncomfortable? I owned AP in a dynasty FF league and I sent out trade flyers last night to the whole league, I shipped him to another team for Sammy Watkins Even if he plays again I dont want to root for the guy. Hes a madman on the field (and we all love him for it), but apparently hes a madman off the field too.
  20. Wonder what the Ravens will do at RB now? Forsett looked good yesterday vs the Bengals but he's been a lifelong backup and I doubt he can carry the load alone, B Pierce has looked awful dating back to last year. Perhaps they'll call up Buffalo and ask about Bryce Brown? If Im Whaley I hold firm on a 2nd round pick as compensation.
  21. Byrd forced a Julio Jones fumble inside the 10 yardline and prevented a touchdown single handedly in the game. The dude is good, he got paid to be on another team. Get over it.
  22. Illl be a bills fan until I die or the team moves away, its not by choice, I was born into it. Dont kid yourself, you were never a fan of this team and please, dont jump on the bandwagon when were good again and act like you were there for the whole ride.
  23. Valid points. I still think the AFC east is up for grabs because I think the jets (geno looks competent) and phins (mike sherman gone, tannehill did decent even with poor OLine and play calling last year) have gotten better this offseason, we shall see. Our red zone offense cant get any worse than it was last year, can it?
  24. My bubble isnt popped, it has just slowly deflated. Negatives for me: -Watching blake bortles, teddy bridgewater, matt cassel, derek carr drive their teams down for multiple TDs and our starting O cant get more than a field goal. -Marrone and Whaley arguing on the sideline. Indicates a level of dysfunction between coach and upper management. -Marrone and Hughs arguing. Indicates a level of dysfunction between coach and players. -Playing Sammy in a meaningless game -Cutting Thad and starting J Palmer in the 5th game. what was the point of this??? Basically ruined any reliable way of evaluating the play of the offensive skill players because Palmer had no clue what he was doing. Thad should have stayed on and played one more game, he knows the offense, then you cut his ass and replace him with Palmer (or any other QB who gets cut this weekend). -Continue to plow spiller into middle of the defense without getting him into space. -EJs inconsistency and his deflection of responsability and placing blame on others during post game press conferences -The fact that this preseason looks exactly like every other preseason we've had for the last 14 years and you know the results that have followed those in the regular season Positives: -Defense looks good, i think we get consistent pass rush this year. -Red zone woes in preseason are a correctable issue and I think Mike WIlliams is a lock for 8 or 9 TDs. -RB depth is excellent, if we can run the ball efficiently and play good defense we should have a chance in most games we play in...regardless of whether or not EJ takes a step forward. -Easy schedule to start the year -AFC east is going to be competitive this year and I dont think the Pats are going to run offf with the title halfway through the season like they have in years past. A 9-7 or 10-6 record could win the division.
