  1. excellent highlight video. One thing you notice about him is that hes got really good instincts and hes quick to react to plays, which allows him to use his speed to get around blockers and make tackles. Where Kiko had problems his rookie season was making tackles while shedding a block, something I'm confident he'll be better at after a year of NFL strength and conditioning.
  2. Week 11 vs NYJ 6 cathes 81 yards and 1 TD with Robert Woods and Stevie Johnson out. Carried our offense that day and showed his good hands and ability to run short possession routes...not just the deep burners Goodwin reminds me of Antonio Brown. I would not be shocked at all if he developed into a #1 or #2 WR
  3. Marcell Dareus. After years of ignoring the trenches with picks like Spiller, McGahee, Whitner, and McKelvin.....It was the right pick and we finally didnt get cute.
  4. Personally Im not all that interested in him for the Bills. Hes had a couple good years but I always have seen Jackson as a one trick pony. He's feast or famine. Some of the long ball catches he's had are incredibly lucky and his game by game stats are very inconsistant. Throw in his character issues off the field and his apparent DIVA personality and it makes it a pretty easy call. The dude demanded new contracts at least 2x just a year after signing deals. Some NFL team is going to jump all over this, and Im sure Jackson will have his moments for them. But I'm more interested in keeping Goodwin and Woods on the field and keeping our locker room stable.
  5. What a brutal month we are having as buffalo sports fans. We watch our iconic goalie leave, one of our best football players leave, our Hall of Fame QB has reoccurring cancer and our Hall of Fame Owner just passed away. Our NHL team is the worst in the league and our football team is on an NFL record 14 straight playoff-less seasons. I am hoping we already hit rock bottom but Im worried we may not be all the way there yet. Does this mean things can only get better from this point forward?
  6. I hated the guy whenever we played against him. Wasnt it Eric Wood who said he was intentionally trying to injure someone on our Oline?...cant remember Anyways..the guy hits like a ton of bricks and theres a reason why he stood out to me as one of the Pats I hated most. Hes not a great player, but hes very good at stopping the run. With that said. Welcome aboard!
  7. Your claim lacks any supporting evidence, it is just an opinion. In my opinion, Reed was never known for his hitting, he was known for his elite ball hawking skills and return ability ( the latter being something Byrd does NOT have) You would think the guy with 11 FF's would be the harder hitter, but thats just assumption.
  8. Posted Yesterday, 10:09 PM The Bills have brought in two former first round picks, 1 at LB, 1 at O-Line, re-sign a clutch kicker, and brought in a Buffalo Native, Super Bowl champion at DB. With more signings possible in the future. I'm really happy with the Free Agents and think they will strengthen the team and improve the Bills chances of winning. I really don't get all the pissing and moaning around here. Byrd wanted to be free. Get over it. You're right. No homer in any of that. Bottom line is the bills dont deserve the benefit of the doubt that they know what theyre doing. They let a player with future HOF potential walk away and signed 2 bust 1st round picks and a reserve/slot CB with his Salary. Just so you know: BYRD: 22 INTs 11 FF's 73 games played ED REED: 27 INTS 5 FF's 74 games played.
  9. It just gets really hard as a fan to hold any faith in this franchise after 15 years of no playoffs. You see the Bills draft a guy like Byrd in the 2nd round and like most, was wondering WHY ANOTHER DB BUFFALO!!!???? Well that guy turned into a helluva football player and instead of paying him we let him walk out the door a la....Greer, Peters, P Williams, D Whitner, P Posluzny, A Winfield etc.... Just gets really hard when you put it all together to get excited about anything. Every year its disappointment followed by renew hope and optimism that "this year" will be the year we finally get it right...only to be let down with the season over before we even play in December. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. When will it ever change ? I used to be like you. A Homer. Step outside of the box and look at the big picture. Until the bills win dont keep falling for the same Bull*****
  10. Christ One Bills Drive what the hell is going on. Im a hoe dumb average joe bills fan and even I see this decision as clear as day. CUT HIM. MOVE ON. kevin kolb will just get another concussion and put us back into the same position all over again. Hes DONE IN THIS LEAGUE.
  11. The logic last year was that we let Levitre walk to sign byrd. The logic will now be that we let Byrd walk to sign Dareus Or Spiller....its a repeatable pattern with this organization and its been going on for 10 + years.
  12. This Byrd thing got me wondering about all the failjobs the Bills have had over the years at keeping talent. To summarize (feel free to add others ive missed) Guys we decided to pay: Fitzpatrick, Kyle Williams (pro bowler), Chris Kelsay, Lee Evans, Fred Jackson, Stevie Johnson, Eric Wood, Leodis McKelvin Guys we decided not to pay: Pat Williams (pro bowler), Nate Clements (pro bowler), Antoine Winfield (pro bowler), London Fletcher (pro bowler), Jason Peters(pro bowler), Jabari Greer, Paul Pozluszny (pro bowler) , Donte Whitner (pro bowler), Andy Levitre, Jairus Byrd (pro bowler and on pace for HOF career....compare his stats to Ed Reed they are very similar) Guys we traded for peanuts: Willis Mcgahee (pro bowler), Marshawn Lynch(pro bowler) The wheels keep spinning and we dont go anywhere. Why? because we sign talent to either exhorborant contract extension (fitz, kelsay) out of line with their performance or we nab them early before they could get more money (K williams)...when it comes to paying our premium talent, its always made out to be that the player is asking for too much or hates buffalo. This is why we buff a blow.
  13. were letting a player on track to be a HOF one day walk for nothing... F'ing stupid.
  14. If the bills dont resign Byrd Im gonna be pissed. If we dont use the tag on him Im going to be mega pissed, we have the goddamn cap room and the $ to at least tag and trade. this franchise is going nowhere if they let a player like Byrd get away. PAY THE MAN
  15. which is why the year Tom Brady tore his ACL Belichick coached freakin Matt Cassel to an 11-5 record
  16. Last 25 years? How about in the history of the game? There are no coaches better than BIll Belichick...as much as it pains me to say it.
  17. Ill give you credit for creativity but the success of your play relies entirely on inept defensive play. Carpenter would obviously be covered by a CB who would trail him across the line of scrimmage to where he would boot the field goal. Also, I find it very unlikely that all downlineman would chase the QB to the opposite sideline without either A. Actually tackling the QB or B. Interfering with the lateral to the snap holder. I think when you weigh the likelihood of this play working vs the success rate of a hail mary, you'd pick the hail mary But again, way to think outside the box.
  18. Hakeem nicks hasnt been the same player since his injuries. He went an entire season without catching a touchdown pass and had many alligator arm drops. Hes the type of guy that some stupid team will pay a lot of $ for just based on his size and previous production but he's done as true # 1 WR
  19. Byrd is an elite safety and a consistent playmaker on defense....you look at his numbers and hes on his way to a hall of fame career. We drafted him and the BIlls in this long streak of playoff futility have a track record of letting their best homegrown talent go (peters, greer, winfield, p williams, mcgahee, clements, whitner, lynch)....its time to put an end to this terrible trend. Byrd deserves to be one of the highest paid players at his position and he needs to be a buffalo bill for the rest of his career. If we let him get away it truly is a failjob by upper management and sign this team truly isnt interested in winning. Also for those who still think Byrd isnt an elite player check this out: Byrd: 73 games played 22 INTS 260 tackles 2 TD's Ed Reed: 74 games played 27 INTS 276 tackles 3 TD's
  20. Ive always wondered why coaches never thought to do something like this. Another one that I thought of was when you decide to punt. In todays NFL the only strategy a team has on a 4th down is to try and draw an offsides penalty with a hard snap count. Why not come up a couple of plays where you have your punter running towards the line of scrimmage on the snap of the ball with the option to either A. Run for it B. THrow it to a WR C. Pooch punt it. If guys can kick it on the run in rugby then certainly it can be done in the NFL. Imagine having to defend a 4th and 5 just as intensely as you would any other down...it would give the team that did it a huge advantage on Sundays
  21. For me its easily Bills vs Pats 12/28/08 when Brady was out for the year and the pats trotted out Cassel to an 11-5 record and a 13-0 victory over the bills in week 17. Weather report for the game: - Average temperature 21 degrees -Lowest temperature: -3 degrees -And the kicker: 29 MPH winds with 53 MPH sustained winds and gusts up to 73 MPH. The most miserable football game Ive ever been a part of. The goal posts were twisted, the bills sucked, Matt Cassel even had a punt that rolled via wind to our one yard line...
  22. At this point Khalil Mack has to be considered the odds on favorite to be the pick. It fills a position of great need and you can pair him with Kiko to have an elite LB core.... This defense proved today they still need to add pieces to stop the run.
  23. no...we'll mess it up anyways. Thought people would like to know though
  24. 1. Houston 2. St Louis 3. Jax 4. Cleveland 5. Oakland 6 Atlanta 7. Tampa Bay 8. Minnesota 9. Buffalo 10 Detroit 11 Tennessee 12 New York Giants
