  1. McVay as HC? New GM But being serious, I think WR and CB/safety. A LB would also be nice. So would DE.
  2. How about Trubiski for Wilson?
  3. as long as McD is here, adding or subtracting coaches won't really matter. The D is still the soft shell nonsence.
  4. Yeah, coaches way to stubborn for much of this, but I like most of the suggestions. However, Larry O being a great savior is way overstated. Steelers couldn't wait to see him gone. I'm not sure he is much more than a JAG at best. I'd also add, we need to trade for a safety at least. Poyer or Rapp and Bishop strike fear into no one. Literally we could trade with some colleges and likely improve.
  5. A good suggestion, and some teams may be very interested (PGH, pair with Metcalf again), but here, no more 2nd or 3rd tire WRs.
  6. yeah I get this. But incompetence at old man bball is different than incompetence from what should be the best football officials. I don't think the reffs are trying to favor certain outcomes, I think a lot of them are legitimately bad, and it's a bad look for the NFL. The NFL also needs to be transparent about fining refs or demoting them fot totally agregis calls like what happened in the Giants-Broncos game (PI call). Also, making more such calls revewable would help. Payton could have challenged that call.
  7. and that 10 points was against a backup D basically. Really shows how bad our D is from roster construction to coaching.
  8. they should be gone if they fail to win the SB this year. Every other team in the AFC was hobbled out of the gate by losses and/or injuries. Bean did jack during the offseason to improve the roster other than his continual signing of mid-tier FAs. McD is still running the small D that gets gashed by good-great QBs, and now by medicore ones. Big Blowhard seems appropriate. McFranklin for the HC.
  9. The folks who believe the only thing that is keeping us from the drought years are McD and Bean I don't get. It can't get worse. You could pick anyone in a NFL FO and coaching staff (or even college) and they would get the same 12-15 wins and early playoff exit. We need to swing for the SB while Allen is here.
  10. The team is a total dumpster fire from the FO on down with the exception of a few players. Clean out the entire FO, paritcularly given this: "In a post-draft interview on the Bills’ flagship radio station WGR 550-AM, Beane lashed out at the hosts for criticizing his lack of attention to wide receiver throughout the offseason. The club thought Beane was righteous and entertaining enough to feature his rant — that the Bills even had to bleep — at the very beginning of their behind-the-scenes draft special. The Bills didn’t lead with material about the rookies they drafted; they wanted to ridicule." Ridiculing a very legitimate question is nonsensicle. Great rant by Bean. There's the door
  11. I just read he was cut. Why? Seemed to be playing well on ST.
  12. at least Tomlin won a SB, and made another. McD can't even do that. McD's tenure here is more akin to James Franklin.
  13. or the HC, you know, the guy whose job it is to run the team, should empower JA to do this. Someone should ask McD if JA has this ability.
  14. I'm not saying it, I'm saying analysts saw it. Does not make him a quitter to be frusturated. a lot of the sack screenshots, the WR is open, but that's at the time of the sack. When the pocket is collapsing and right before is when the WR needs to be open, a lot of those sacks he held onto the ball for a long time, and the analysist comments were that no one was open.
  15. When your roster is likely a bottom 5 and your D is letting medicore QBs lead long drives on it, you have a GM who thinks a bunch of WR JAGs are sufficient, and an OC who likes to continue to handoff to a WR on third and short, yeah, can't blame him for not being 110% each play.
  16. was not a great game by JA, but I'm not sure where "plenty of guys open" is coming from. It could be true. I know the announcers were saying the WRs had zero separation multiple times.
  17. this was brought up by another analysist, I think Colin Cowherd or a local guy here in PGH, basically that JAs body language is he is tired of having to do everything every game. This team is at best 1-5 without him.
  18. any trade idea that nets a legit WR1 can't be discounted at this time. A 2nd and one of our JAG receivers for Pickens would be amazing. Not sure if Dallas would go for it, they seem to never be in "blow it up" mode even when they should be.
  19. NO disagreements from me. But yikes, the "UP" looks like the "UP" of a drought-era teama, which, lets not kid ourselves, this team is. Outside of having a unicorn QB, this team is really, really bad. Up because someone made a play. Yeah, yikes. Palmar had 2 nice plays, Yikes.
  20. I hope Bean does something, but unless he does more than one thing, it won't be enough. Right now this roster is terrible. Take JA out and replace him with a mid-level starter and it's a 1-5 team at best. At this point, whatever Bean does to fix his past errors is just a bandaid. A WR gives us a chance to cover the massive defesive deficiencies that have led to us being carved up by a bunch of mid-level QBs. We need, at least, the following: an actual #1 WR, (DJ Moore would be ideal), an actual safety. With a WR and safety we may have enough to contend for the SB, but that's a big if, because we still need a LB (ours are always hurt due to McFranklin's obsession with small LBs), and a CB. We could also use a RB2 to cover for Cook so he's not on track to lead the NFL in rushes. I've just depressed myself. This roter is really, really bad for having a franchise QB.
  21. gee. A team trying to get a QB more weapons. Hello Bean!!!
  22. A couple mock drafts have us taking a center. Although those have us drafting at 32, which seems highly unlikely.
  23. minus Allen this roster is drought era. Heck, some of those were prob better.
  24. Flores with a legit OC. This is the question. HC stability is overvalued by some. NHL and NBA understand the need for new voices. Philly got it also. Hopefully Pegs sees what PSU just did and is emboldened to act if things do not improve here.
