The Bills are not looking to turn their fortunes around this year. This will be a bad year. They will take a few steps back before they get better. They will be a bad footbal team this year. If you renew your season tickets, don't base that decision on hoping they turn it around this year. They will be bad. If you do renew, base that decision on the fact that you now trust the new guys in charge. That they have a plan and that plan will take longer than one year. Plus there is a chance we won't even have footbal next year. Good luck.

I understand your pessimistic viewpoint on Edwards, but who has the upside you're talking about? It's certainly not Fitz.

You're right, Brohm is nothing but a disappointment at this stage. And wanting him to be a good Qb won't make him one, despite the hopes of all the desperate fans. Unless he proves you wrong with his play on the field, you are right. You judge him by his performance to this point in his short career, which is the logical way to look at it.

I don't see what's wrong with giving Trent Edwards a chance to come back with a clean slate and learn under Gailey. Don't hand him the starting job, but let him compete for it. Gailey did wonders for Thigpen. Maybe he can turn Edwards back into the guy who seemed to have so much promise until Jauron did a number on him.

Larry Felser wrote a column a few weeks ago which talked about how the jets have roughly twice as many scouts as the Bills do. He basically said the Bills were scrimping on scouting. Also why do you think Nix said he wants to hire more scouts? Because we don't have enough!! Also..you come up with 6 players in 10 years?? And you include Stevie Johnson who has done nothing so far and Schuman who is a below average starter? REALLY ?? Is that it?? You need to look back at the last ten years of scouting.....based on our draft picks, it's been a joke!! And if you weren't aware of it, drafting horribly in the early rounds is also influenced by shortage in scouting.

Did you NOT read where I said I hope this changes under Nix? And yes they have hired assistants, and Nix wants to hire more scouts. But will they allow him to, thats the question. And the Bills have been cheap in the past. Hiring more assistants now, does not change the fact that they have been on the cheap in the past. The scouting department is an area they have gone cheap on and it shows on the field. And again , I HOPE THIS CHANGES UNDER NIX.

Brohm is not this great Qb.......Brohn is representative of the desperation that Bills fans feel. They are hoping beyond hope that the Bills stumble upon this great Qb because this team has sucked for so long. Unfortunately Brohm will disappoint just like the rest have. He was demoted in Greenbay for a reason. He isn't good enough.

The bills don't have enough scouts on the staff to find hidden gems. Again it goes back to a cheap organization that cuts corners when it comes to areas like scouting. I do hope this will change under Nix.
