  1. Maybe they should just ....Punt
  2. he also said this......"And with Mike Shanahan soon earning north of $10 million to coach the Redskins (not to mention $3.5 million in each of the next two years to not coach the Broncos), " ......Am i mistaken or does the responsibility of paying his preveious contract end when he signed that huge contact with Washington? Does this Florio know anything?
  3. I must have missed the part where the Jets and Chargers were playing "for it all"
  4. All your example are of owners who , because of the people they hired, who brought in, developed and coached the product they were selling were successful teams. Look at the yankees...that organization is viewed as a sum of all the years they have been around, through different owners. Apple is certainly a product much more than a single individual. It takes a dedicated team of people to turn around a company. One with a good man or woman running the show, but certainly doesn't do it alone. And any good company realizes that success depends on a good product. They also realise that without the customer there can be no success. So what if they are not a corporation. Why you feel pointing out that they are a privately run entity confuses me. You lost the whole point. The point is what makes a good company, corporation or popsicle stand is one that sells a good product , and realises that they wouldn't be anywhere without the people buying the product. So how is RW a good owner again? Oh yeah, he keeps a mediocre product here and expects us to buy it year after year because we all should be so grateful that he sells us rotten fruit.
  5. No good corporation is the owner..it is also the sum of all those who work there and those who buy what they are selling. I do give RW credit for keeping the team here. But that doesn't mean he is or was a good owner, unless all you care about is having a team. To me a good owner wants to give the customer a good product and a good shopping experience in the process.
  6. You're gonna have to go ahead and come in on saturday
  7. Dickerson minus football knowledge = Mike Schopp
  8. That being said, I'm hoping Ralph wants the legacy to continue after he is gone. If the team is sold and moved, the legacy will be gone also.
  9. So what's the problem?
  10. I am afraid you're in for a disppointment
  11. Why is Grimm the best choice? I don't see it. He is the running game coorinator. Arizona also has a passing coordinator. From my point of view, it's the passing game that has that team in contention. He does a fine job with offensive lines as evidenced by his stint in Pittsburgh, but where is the evidence that he would be a good head coach? I need more than "I want Grimm " as head coach.
  12. As soon as RW came out and admitted that the Bills had contacted Cowher I knew he was not coming here. It was a smokescreen to let everyone know that they tried " to do whatever it takes" .
  13. I wonder how you really feel about Sully
  14. No , you're right, he has played bad the last couple of weeks.
  15. No, it's not possible. There will always be those who feel they need to insult. I laugh it off and move on. I do however enjoy the occastion humorous reply.
  16. Guy's contract runs out very soon..I am quite sure he won't be invited back. As far as Modrak, it may depend on who they hire as head man.
  17. I remember Greg Williams..."this team right here can win the superbowl"
  18. Or maybe he's worried about RW's history of putting the emphasis on the bottom line instead of winning.
  19. What about your scenario with a promised timetable where Brian takes over as head man. Then Marty moves to a role of cunsultant or upper management position.
  20. Without talent , no coach will be very good. Buddy Nix is the guy with the pressure. He has to go out and get the players. The Bills have been woefully lacking in the talent department for years.
