  1. Sullivan is negative, glass is half-empty, all the time. I don't even read his drivel any more. Why is everyone even wasting bandwidth discussing it?
  2. Indeed. "Stevie" should be spending a little less time on fancy haircuts and t-shirts, and more time on focusing on what he has to do on the football field. Hopefully he learned a big lesson today and it makes him a better wide receiver. It bothers me that he is starting to behave like a "Look at ME!" guy, instead of a "Look at US!" guy.
  3. Not a chance this happens. Zero. Our receiving corps is a strength, not a problem, so Moss won't be coming here. The only way we would get a draft pick for Merriman is if he got picked up by the Bills and averaged a sack a game the rest of the way. I think he's worth giving a shot (he couldn't be worse than Kelsay), but to hope for any sort of return for him in the form of a draft pick is completely unrealistic.
  4. Unfortunately, I think you are right. We have a lot of good drafting to do, to not only fix the obvious holes at QB, O-Line, D-line, LB, but also to replace the failed 1st round picks we already have. Whitner has desire, but is not a good safety. He's too small and not fast enough, and misses too many tackles. McKelvin is a good athlete, but from what I've seen since he joined the Bills, he has absolutely no 'football sense'. He seems unable to read or anticipate plays, which has resulted not only in him NOT being a clearcut starter (which he should be by now), but also getting burned for scores on a regular basis. Maybin was just a bad pick. The guy had 1 good season at Penn State, and I'm guessing Jauron and company must have been watching the same piece of film over and over again before deciding to pick him. He simply isn't physical enough and I think we may have the next Erik Flowers on our hands. Same with McCargo. I'm not sure what motivated them to pick this guy, as he was undersized even as a 4-3 tackle. Apparently they thought that playing on the same D-line as Mario Williams would rub off. Pozluzsny competes hard and makes a lot of tackles, but doesn't cover very well, and is a band-aid. Remember everyone poking fun at Matt Millen and the Lions a couple of years ago because they had so many horrendous drafts? Welcome to the new Detroit.
  5. He'll be cut long before he reaches the end of that extension. Relax, folks.
  6. Well said!!! Far too much focus on this site about what the "experts" say... very few of them really look at any of the teams in any real depth. Most just quickly gloss over the 'need' areas and don't provide any true insight. I thought the best draft analysis provided on the Bills was by Corey Chavous on NFL Network. Very good insight. The rest of the analysts... pfft.

  8. Most of the analysts I have seen tend to gloss over a lot of this stuff and don't really dig into the details. Most of them are true 'talking heads'. Chavous actually did some research, and watched film of the Bills' selections. He made some intelligent observations. Other analysts I saw (including on NFL Network post-draft coverage) clearly hadn't done that level of research and had no real insight. Their only comments were generalizations, and apart from Spiller they tended to focus on the negative aspects (no T or QB) rather than the positive ones (excellent upgrades to defense). A lot of the so-called experts don't do their homework, so if they seem to lack in real details, take it with a grain of salt.
  9. I agree 100% with that assessment. I love what they did with the defense, and Spiller is going to generate points. Let's see how Wang works out, but I hope it wasn't a mistake not to take a tackle sooner. B+
  10. NFL Network. I flipped over there when ESPN decided to disrespect us again.
  11. Does not matter? Do you even watch football? Spiller is sick. Every time he touches the ball he has a chance to take it all the way. He'll be getting a LOT of touches with the Bills, running the ball, catching the ball, and returning the ball. Anyone who thinks our scoring is not vastly improved is just not paying attention.
