Cook to me is Kamara light. Not as physical a build as Kamara but a tougher runner than you'd expect. He has the gliding acceleration that I think is hard for defenders to key on, has the lateral escapability, has the receiving skills (when there's no lapses in concentration). I'm not a fan of paying big money for RBs, but I have no problem with the Bills paying what they're paying for Cook's skill set.

IDK, honestly he was probably putting himself at more risk of an ankle injury hurdling over the fallen linemen on that play than he was stiff arming a CB. Also, I just re-watched the play, and I stand by my earlier assessment, if he can put Adams down he picks up another 15-20 yds at least if he doesn't end up scoring.

I don't think he switched the ball to his left hand for security... I think he did it so that he could stiff arm the defender. Without re-watching the play, IIRC, his stiff arm didn't really connect, and it would have been more of a push, AND if it did connect and was successful he would basically have had a clear path to the endzone. Allen plays big boy football.

I can't remember if it was the 2020 season or the 2021 season when Milano got hurt and AJ Klein had to start... it was the season before AJ headed off into the sunset in his camper before abruptly having to turn around. The first game Klein was awful because they were expecting him to play the role Milano plays and he was physically incapable of doing that. Then they adjusted his responsibilities and he had a pretty significant impact playing the game he was suited to play. I hope they don't ask Williams to play Milano's game... he doesn't seem to have the football IQ to do that. I hope they simplify the game for him as best they can, point him in a direction and yell "git em!!!".

WRT top 5, it depends where Henry ends up IMO. I think it's reasonable to expect that Allen's rushing TDs will tail off as he gets older. I don't think we see 120s+ from him, but I think cracking 100 is very doable.

I acknowledged that Burrow has more talent and more talent around him on offense. My point is that he's getting beat up like David Carr did in Houston.

In those 78 games Burrow has been sacked 201 times, whereas Allen has been sacked 191 times in 126 games. He may be injury prone, but playing in Cincy isn't helping. Burrow is basically David Carr with more talent and more talent around him... although David Carr held up to the punishment better.

I think you could make a compelling argument that the cumulative pounding that Burrow has taken thus far in his career exceeds what Allen has taken, despite Allen playing a much more physical style. Burrow hangs in to the last second and gets blasted a lot, and he has to because of his line play. Yesterday may have been a routine tackle, but at 28 years old, he's probably absorbed the abuse that someone in their mid 30s at the position would have taken, so he's probably more likely to get injured as a result at this point.

The reason is he averages 3 sack per game throughout his career, and it's not because he doesn't know how to read a defense or work a pocket. If I was Burrow or his agent, I'd be looking for a way out of Cincy before he gets a career ending injury in his prime.
