  1. I think Brady was listed as doubtful every game last season. But Johnson is not listed as doubtful here. http://www.buffalobi...ury-report.html
  2. That little sliver in central nevada makes no sense to me. Almost all of colorado and some parts north of there get the Bills/Jets when NE and the titans are on? None of that computes with me at all. EDIT: Ahhhh jimmyo called it I think, the Tebow connection
  3. It is HUGE. It is against one of the teams the Bills need to leapfrog if they hope to have any chance of even thinking about the playoffs.
  4. Only 74?? You forgot to add the points the Bills D will score from pic-6's, fumble recovery TDs, and countless safeties!
  5. or, he could be telling the truth.
  6. HD works good that way? Unless your friend has business roadrunner or equivalent I would think his outbound (upload) speed would choke with HD video.
  7. It's a coin toss in my opinion. Whichever teams defense makes the huge play wins it.
  8. Defer to kick off first. Jets start on their 20. Jets 3 and out and punt (from their endzone) to the Bills whose offense starts with a short field.
  9. The one and only game of interest to me is at 1pm Sunday in Jersey when we get to see exactly just how much the Bills have improved.
  10. I know how to have fun. It's just that acting like a douche is not my idea of fun. YMMV. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? But as for the last 12 years not meaning anything. You couldn't be more wrong. I get that you are just trying to get fired up for the season in your own way, but those that forget about history are doomed to repeat it.
  11. That doesn't matter at all. The only issue with airplay is if it could not handle the HD bitrate. But apparently you have proven that it can. The only question then, is how good is the quality of the stream from directtv. I cannot help you with that question But just because it is not downloaded prior to playing should have no effect, unless your internet connection is super slow or drops out a lot of course. But cable download speed is more than sufficient. I suspect DLS is fine too, though I have never tried it.
  12. Download a HD (720 at least, 1080 if you can) movie and airplay it to your TV. If that works, the games will too. And based on fezmids post, you can try it on Sunday
  13. Hmmm the FIFA model applied to tackle football. Interesting. That would tend to make it more fair for small market teams.
  14. If you have played HD downloaded movies OK then the live game should not be a problem. From what I read, the first generation airplay could not do HD content but the 2nd generation can.
  15. What would be cool for people who live in the blackout area would be to use the online feed from someone who subscribes to the ticket but lives outside the blackout area. Stream to the TV via the HDMI port and you have even the blacked out Bills games in HD!
  16. The whole point of the draft order being the reverse of the previous seasons results is to promote equity, not reward failure. The whole suck for Luck thing Indy pulled took advantage of that desire on the part of the NFL.
  17. A third option which would apply to me ... Only if the Bills are in the game I watch very very little non-Bills football.
  18. Don't know how effective that would be against the Jets, but it sure would be fun to watch Whatever Gaileys wrinkles are for this season (and I sure hope he has several), I doubt any of them involve heavy running.
  19. Wow. That sounds like a LOT of money for online only. But I guess it's only $15 or $19 a day. Less than parking at the Ralph.
  20. Smith is like Gaileys utility knife. WR, slot receiver, QB (emergency and wildcat) and can return kicks and punts. Having all of that with one roster spot must be tempting for a HC. But the harsh reality is Tarvaris Jackson is going to need some time before he can step in effectively in the event that Fitz can't play. Gailey may be forced to keep Thigpen around for at least the first half of the season. So it may be difficult for Gailey to figure out a way to keep 3 QBs and his utility knife on the roster.
  21. Yeah the cutting away makes you wonder though. I mean I counted 7 other channels carrying the convention on cable, and that was the HD channels alone.
  22. If Tom Brady didn't want to take a snap in preseason I doubt he would.
  23. You are right that the game results of the preseason games mean nothing. But how they play, particularly the starters, does mean something. Just ask Vince Young or anyone else cut around the league if preseason is completely meaningless. You people who keep touting the preseason is completely meaningless are grossly oversimplifying things.
