  1. Yeah it has surprised me for the past few weeks. In fact, here is the top 5 according to that rating system now: Seattle Denver SF SD NE (The Bills are currently 20th) That system has had NE consistently fairly high all season so far. They were in 7th prior to blowing out Cinci. "The New England Patriots’ 43-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals was the most impressive performance of the week, according to Elo, and earned the Patriots a gain of 29 Elo points."
  2. I just hope no drunken moron does the same at the Ralph Sunday. If someone tries I fully expect the Bills fans around him to take care of the situation, unlike Lions fans.
  3. With a tip of the hat to Yolo for the game title CBS with spread (Bills +3.5): 5 take the F'ing Cheatriots and 3 take the EL PEGUAL BILLS. CBS straight up: 7 take the F'ing Cheatriots and 1 take the EL PEGUAL BILLS. The computer takes the EL PEGUAL BILLS. ESPN straight up: 9 plus the computer take the F'ing Cheatriots and 4 take the EL PEGUAL BILLS. Fox Sports straight up: 6 plus the computer (Microsofts Cortana says 53% chance) take the F'ing Cheatriots and 1 take the EL PEGUAL BILLS. Nate Silvers Elo has the game as the F'ing Cheatriots as a 3 point favorite with a 60% chance of winning. This system went 13-2 last week .... with one of the two wrong being the Bills winning
  4. Impossible to predict for me, but kudos on the topic title
  5. And if the Bills lose, there will be an uproar demanding Manuel start the next game
  6. So on the basis of a mediocre (being generous) career and one half of decent (not outstanding) football as a Bill this question is seriously being asked? Strange, even for superhomers
  7. Those "lasers" aren't powerful enough to do any damage from distance. Maybe if you put it right up to your eye, but not the way that moron used it.
  8. A couple of these Orton threads are pretty humorous considering so far he has played one good half of football
  9. Soooooo if the Bills didn't know the Lions FG kicker sucked ass the D would not have tried to stop them??? Look, the D *always* tries to stop the opponents O. In order of success: Take away Punt FG TD Your statement makes as little sense as my first line. Any team is lucky when an opponents FG kicker goes 0 - 3 particularly when none were particularly long. That's simply a fact. And that's why teams want kickers like Carpenter instead of the Lions soon-to-be-unemployed kicker.
  10. The Bills have sufficient speed and skill at WR now to get down field and get some separation, there is no way a LB is going to be able to consistently cover Spiller on the underneath patterns, and Spiller is far less than useless when he is kept in to block so what you say makes perfect sense. Manuel was not effective getting the ball down field so that wasn't much of an option before. Maybe we will start seeing that now with Orton.
  11. And it would have been good from 65, what a freaking kick.
  12. So many high points that have already been mentioned. The only consistent negative for me was Spiller. His running was anemic, and the way he completely whiffed on a block that any competent RB would have made that almost cost the Bills a safety was inexcusable. He was a major liability the entire game. And I will also echo the sentiments of some that it was really nice seeing a Bills QB make passes like Orton was in the 2nd half!
  13. Bills and Texans in a west coast bar. I would have been shocked if it was on even one TV.
  14. Nate Silvers ELo rating system has the Bills 3rd (ahead of the Jets) in the AFC East.
  15. I was watching MNF I think and the talking heads were laughing that the Bills were in first place in the AFC East and made a voluntary QB change for performance reasons. Not so much laughing at the Bills as laughing at the AFCE.
  16. CBS with Detroit a 7.5 point favorite: 5 taking the Lions and 3 taking the Bills. CBS straight up: All 8 and the computer taking the Lions. ESPN straight up: All 14 including the computer taking the Lions. Nate Silvers ELo rating system has the Lions winning with the ELo spread at Lions -5.5.
  17. Well, at least from Manuel.
  18. To quote Bluto from Animal House ... "I suggest you start drinking heavily".
  19. 25-of-37 for 268 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions and a 75.1 rating was the better performance. Ohhhhh baby.
