  1. If ex-porn-stache had been in the mix preseason I think more might have seen 8-8 or maybe even better.
  2. It could easily be another 1 point stink-fest like last week. Just need to hope the Bills end up with that extra point again.
  3. i was thinking 8-8 splitting with the jests and the fish. Still thinking that way.
  4. Heh, They could pick their favorite US city
  5. That's exactly what it means.
  6. This is exactly what I expect to happen. But now the NFL would be held 100% accountable by fans who do not like the rule instead of being able to hide behind the skirts of the FCC.
  7. I was listening to ESPN talk radio driving home from work yesterday and if you went only by that conversation, you would think the Bills have no chance Sunday. "a 1-6 team currently disguised as a 4-3 team", "the Bills have played very badly the last few weeks and got very lucky to win" and on and on for like 30 minutes. Sounded like to them, the Bills should just forfeit.
  8. Week 8 - Bills @ Jets Loss Week 10 - KC @ Buff Win Week 11 - Bills @ Fish Loss Week 12 - Jets @ Bills Win Week 13 - Browns @ Bills Win Week 14 - Bills @ Denver Loss Week 15 - Packers @ Bills Loss Week 16 - Bills @ Oakland Win Week 17 - Bills at NE* Loss
  9. CBS with spread (NYets - 3.5): 4 each take the Bills and the NYets. CBS straight up: Also 4 each take the Bills and the NYets. The computer takes the Bills. ESPN straight up: 4 and the computer take the Bills, 6 take the NYets and 3 of the lazy !@#$s don't even have their picks in yet (Thursday Morning). Nate Silvers Elo rating system has the Bills as the slight favorite by 51% to 49% and by 0.5 points. Also attached is the Elo simulation of playoff odds for this season. It shows the Bills chances of making the playoffs at 20%.
  10. I thought it had made it back to the LoS .... albeit just barely.
  11. For the Vikings D, absolutely
  12. Two penalties, two sacks, and a 4th and 20 all on that last drive. I'm shocked the Vikings DC is still employed today. Can you imagine if the reverse happened how many "Fire Schwartz now!" posts there would be here?
  13. I think he is back next season as well. He is due $4 mil from the Bills and I don't see anyone offering him more than that. I also think that beyond next season that if Whaley and Marrone want Spiller, they will get him at a good price as RBs in general are devalued and Spiller's resume so far is not spectacular. That could change of course if somehow Spiller comes out next season, stays healthy, and tears it up. But that isn't likely to happen in my opinion. As someone mentioned above, love him as a person. At camp for example he always went out of his way for the kids that were there. But as a running back he is lacking IMO.
  14. What was masterful about it? Multiple penalties, multiple sacks, needing to convert on a 4th and 20 that any decent defense stops cold, even the pass that got them close to the goal line wasn't a great pass and could easily have been intercepted if not for the receiver making a strong play. Some past Bills teams would have just rolled over and given up and this team clearly did not, but don't make it more than it was
  15. Well, unless someone else pointed out earlier, the money is the same or at least close elsewhere and he can play for a team that would give him the chance to showcase his talents a year before hitting UFA.
  16. Oh good lord, revenge of the super homers
  17. 4th and 20 and they had the win percentage as high as 4%? Seems high though I don't have the time or desire to do the math myself
  18. You mean that blue line on the screen? I think, but don't know for sure, that someone in the TV truck tells the system where to draw the line. i suspect (s)he had the benefit of watching the video and quickly told the system where the ball should be, and that's where it drew the line. Things were moving fast and it was never changed after the actual spot.
  19. If any of those teams match the $4 mil I can see that happening.
  20. They better not worry about the betting line. The NFL has enough bad press already this season. The last thing they need is a gambling scandal
  21. Home field advantage is generally 3 points so it makes sense. Another game of 2 bad teams in the eyes of the vast majority of the betting public.
  22. Interesting question. He can't feel good about how he is being used, or how he has performed in Buffalo. He is due $2.2 mil in base salary, plus $1.8 mil option bonus if he stays with the Bills. Will another team think enough of him to top that is the question. If another team makes him a good offer I think he takes it. If there is no such offer, he stays with the Bills for the $4 mil and tries to put a resume together next season for when he hits the UFA market that Spring. EDIT: I chose option 3, that he will not opt out. Mainly because based on his body of work to date, I don't think any other team will make him a big $$$ offer.
  23. Every spot is a guesstimate by the very nature of the game. The refs were well down the field when the catch was made and made their best guess. Unless the NFL comes up with a system where video camera's or a chip in the ball is used to determine the correct spot every play it will never be accurate.
