CBS broadcasts Bills game in low definition yesterday
CodeMonkey replied to mrwilson60's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
HD on TWC CBS affiliate in Rochester. Sounds like you need to call your local provider and ask why they !@#$ed you. EDIT: Just read page 2, seems like you did +1 I record it while we are out doing something in the afternoon then we all watch during dinner commercial free. For me, the stadium cannot compete with that. -
Hackett too conservative in the red zone?
CodeMonkey replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills were down by 14 I would fully expect the play calling to be different. But currently he is calling things correctly and not putting Manuel in situations where he can lose the game when managing the game is all he needs to do. -
I honestly can't pick. Carpenter missed a chip shot so probably not him, but you can make a case for almost everyone else who stepped onto the field in a Bills uniform.

All they need is to consistently get the 3 and the occasional TD and let the defense take care of the rest. Hackett is allowing Manuel to play within himself and manage the game. I do not think he is being too conservative at all. -
Game announcers were awful!

Well one thing TV did right was after the Spiller TD return they put a camera on Mrs. Wilson and showed her take a hit of her mixed drink (looked like a gin and tonic ) and high fived everyone around her. Looked like she was getting into the game day experience along with the other 70,000+ in attendance -
I'm thinking a lot went out week one. They were all very sure about the Bears. And that smug piece of crap Cowher never considered the Bills beating the fish yesterday (though Charles Barkley picked the Bills ). Maybe Cowher just has a bug up his ass that he could have been the Bills coach now? It's pretty wild actually. The Bears lay an egg and Cutler in particular makes some horrible mistakes week one at home and lose to the Bills. Then they go out west week 2 and beat the 49'ers as Kaepernick has a horrific game. Miami puts a world of hurt on the Pats* week 1 at home then comes in and gets blown out by the Bills. Crazy start to the season.

It should have been a touchback...
CodeMonkey replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That may be the one constant here, the refs are always brutal against the Bills regardless of win or loss -

It's funny how this is OK because it was in favor of the Bills. If it was the other way instead of 3 pages there would be 33 pages to this thread. FWIW I think the call was probably wrong, but it was too close to overrule the original call on the field. -
Exactly what my Dad did.

You know, I was wondering when people said they missed the food what they meant. There is nothing special about the pizza in Buffalo. You can get good pizza anywhere anymore. You can get good wings almost anywhere now as well. Granted there are more places to get good wings in Buffalo than most places though. I can see missing the Bills and Sabres games, and the people, and even the weather for some who moved south. But good god not food.

Week 2: Dolphins' Game Preparation

Wouldn't it be cool if they could put up a hologram like that Sunday at the Ralph. -
How loud will the Ralph actually be?

I imagine that's the reason he isn't in prison, so he can continue to work (assuming he got another job) and pay off the impending civil suit award. But it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth when a person dies and the stupid piece of **** that caused it gets a minimal punishment. -
Nobody picked the Bills this week
CodeMonkey replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was a team last week that was winless in the away stadium that they were playing in. Who was that again? -
Announcers for Bills/Fins game
CodeMonkey replied to dascottbills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm good so long as it is not those preseason superhomers Bentley and Tasker. They are so bad they make me want to put a icepick in my ears to puncture my eardrums. -
i don't think it devalues the NFL at all and it would not have affected Pegula's offer. Rice admitted he hit her long before the video came out. The fact that he hit the woman should have surprised no one when the video came out. The fact that the NFL had the video just shows that the NFL is comprised of scumbags who are more concerned with the tarnishing of their brand and the fiscal impact than anything else. But again, this is not news to anyone who follows the NFL. We will never truly know what all the bids were for the Bills. But if Pegula outbid by 400 million he made a uncharacteristic mistake.

Sadly being respectful absolutely is not enough at the Ralph. Women, children, no one is safe which is very embarrassing and sad particularly when you hear of Bills fans experiences on the road when they go to road games. The best thing is not to paint a target on your head by wearing any phish gear.

A lot of the time I either have audio off (because of hating the announcers) or I'm not paying attention to them so it really would make no difference to me if people are there or not. I could not care less if there is the background noise of a crowd there or not. That's just me though. But if they played a crowd noise soundtrack behind the announcers and didn't pan to the stands after a touchdown or big play, would you really notice the difference on TV? I don't think many would. Except the Lambeau Leap perhaps

He probably believes it ... Jerrah: Why the !@#$ were all those !@#$ing 49'er fans in my stadium?!?!?! Marketing Dude (fearing for his job): But Mr. Jones sir, Bay Area people are all moving for better jobs to north Texas! Jerrah: Ok then. At least they paid for tickets. Where is that stripper I had my picture taken with a few weeks ago?

NFL and NFLPA Implement New Drug Policy
CodeMonkey replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would certainly hope so. Particularly in places that it is legal. -
I would not call the Pats questionable just yet. I would say Chicago has the potential to be a good or even a very good team. The played like a good team last Sunday but made some very big, very bad mistakes. Particularly the last one by Cutler with the pick by the Bills lock down corner Kyle Williams For me last week I expected no one to take the Bills straight up, being in Chicago. But I was a bit surprised (not offended) that no one picked them with 7.5 points.
