  1. That's OK. Jerrah also said firing Chan Gailey was the worst mistake he ever made. Based on this, Johnny Football is doomed to failure.
  2. People usually get that way towards the end of a season and are sucked back in by preseason
  3. Speaking for myself, i became a Bills fan once I moved to Rochester after college. We moved every 3 years or so when I was a kid and my Dad was a minor football fan, not real hardcore. So I didn't have a team growing up or even watch much football. I got to know the Bills and started following them.
  4. Yup, the biggest smokescreen in the history of the NFL! Even bigger than the ones pulled off by ChaNix!
  5. There is always the personal ban, the big shiny ignore !
  6. QB in general, but abiding by the spirit of your question, HC and OC without a doubt.
  7. Well played, that was at least clever and not the usual "you suck because you aren't a Bills fan anymore".
  8. Why are so many posters here acting like whiny little bitches who got stood up for the middle school dance? He bothered enough to write a well thought out opinion of the current state of the Bills from an outsiders perception but also as someone who has in the past followed the Bills closely. It was far better than most drivel I have seen in the media lately. I did not see anything insulting in what he wrote, and I have to think that most football fans see things the same way. Time to sack up and grow a pair.
  9. That really is what we have to hope for isn't it. That Marrones comment of not showing the playbook in preseason is true, that Manuel is much better and much more consistent than he has shown, that Watkins ribs are healed and he was just faking the pain Thursday night, and that the Bills in general are far better than they have shown in preseason. That plus maybe that the Bears come in overconfident and not ready. The good news is, in less that a week we will know.
  10. For the same reason some thought that Manuel was going to be a good QB when he was drafted. The same reason Marrone was going to be a great HC when he was hired. The same reason Gailey, Jerrahs "biggest mistake firing him", was the diamond in the rough that everyone else missed. The same reason WannaStache was exactly the DC the team needed. And so on, and so on. There was no reason to believe any of those at the beginning, but some choose to anyway. They are the name you have chosen for this board.
  11. pinnaclesports.com is at -6.5 now.
  12. The site I looked at has it at 48.5.
  13. Plenty of online places.
  14. I agree with you about it being a game, which is why even though I find the betting aspect interesting, I rarely actually place a bet.
  15. What I am seeing online is Bills +7 spread, a +240 money line, and a over/under at 48.5. You really can't hope for better than that week one. Any bettors billieving in the vanilla preseason and jumping on this? EDIT: Added O/U
  16. Vegas odds I'm seeing is Bills +7 spread and a +240 money line.. If you really see a 28 point blowout you should be all over that
  17. If the offense stinks in a week against the Bears, those calls could start here as early as halftime.
  18. We really do not know what transpired regarding Palmer and Orton. For all we know they could have been working on getting a replacement for quite some time but couldn't sign anyone. I remain convinced Palmer was mainly for info on the Bears, but also as a safety net in case they could not sign anyone better. Orton may well have been hesitant to sign wanting to see if there was interest elsewhere.
  19. I think there is almost no chance of him becoming a franchise QB. He would have shown some signs of that by now. I do think he still has a fair chance of being a viable NFL starting QB. We should have a much better feel for that in about 2 months.
  20. I believe in giving him every opportunity to prove he is a viable NFL QB. To date, regular as well as pre season, he has shown me precious little to make me think he is. So "show me" EJ! Make me a believer!
  21. I agree with the OP. Anticipating total failure seems a crazy way to enter a season, or the Ralph on game day. And might I add If every mistake by a Bills player or a team loss is due to the referees or bad luck, the Bills are not your problem.
  22. That's OK, the Bears can pickup Lewis if they feel they need to.
  23. How much time did Palmer have on the Bills before he took the field? He was used, period. Only reason he was brought in or he would have been given a fair chance. Well, taping and the fact that have owned the Bills seemingly forever
