  1. Didn’t Anthony Bourdain do one of his shows in the Azores? You should check it out.
  2. I’m in the same boat. Finished my doctorate when I was 27, and my son was born when I was 30. He is will be turning 9 this December, and I will be turning 40 in February. If my son has a child in 7 years, something went way fugging wrong. I know plenty of people who went to work right after HS and had kids. I feel like some of them were successful and are still enjoying nice lives with their families, but most of them turned out to be scumbags. If my son was graduating HS this year, I think I would advise him to avoid marriage/kids until his late 20’s/early 30’s. He doesn’t have to go to college, but I would love for him to be able to enjoy his 20’s without any serious responsibilities/commitments. Travel...get laid a lot...get arrested a couple times. You know. Enjoy life!
  3. Most of the other adults I socialize with who use marijuana are very successful, intelligent people. Then again, I knew a lot of idiot stoners growing up who ended up being idiot stoners as adults. I guess if you’re going to be an idiot...you’re going to be an idiot. Legal pot or no legal pot. In this case I would say that correlation is not causation.
  4. I blame the public school system. No child left behind my ass!
  5. My uncle used to have a dark red '68 Shelby Cobra GT500. He used to take us for drives around Owasco Lake all the time when I was a little kid. I loved that car so much. I'm not sure what he sold it for, but fully restored, it would probably be worth 80-90K today.
  6. 48 and a grandma. That’s never ideal.
  7. This a horrible idea. I’d roll Logan Thomas out there and tank the season before using significant assets on a filler QB. Be a fan, but be critical of 2019 and beyond.
  8. A common symptom of clinical depression is losing interest in social interactions, but you probably already know that because you know everything, right?
  9. Just because we’re bereaved doesn’t make us saps!!
  10. There you go. I would keep a close eye on the depressive symptoms, however, as they may persist post-surgery and may require some form of assessment/treatment. My Father, for example, ended up experiencing depression related to ongoing complications subsequent to a very serious back surgery. He was essentially bound to his chair/bed for several months, and his personality and mood was greatly impacted to the point that he didn't want to eat regularly or have visitors. He ended up seeing a psychologist (reluctantly) and was prescribed a SSRI antidepressant medication which helped him a great deal. Not saying that meds is the answer for everything, but definitely keep a close eye on him.
  11. Tough call based on your description. A person who is introverted socially can also experience depression. Conversely, a person who is introverted can sometimes present as being depressed when they actually are not. You say "at the moment." Is there anything environmentally which may have triggered a change in his behavior or mood? Is his current state drastically different than the way he typically functions?
  12. This is I think the only one of your posts that I have actually understanded and agreed with. Bravo.
  13. Yeah, to be fair to JA he did throw for 245 against LAC, and was well on his way to 300+ before Buffalo took the air out of the ball in the 2nd half against Minni. I think I will stick with Allen for now, thanks. Good for Beathard though. Seems like a tough kid who can sling it.
  14. I believe your level of disdain for Allen has achieved “crusade” proportions. Against TOS. Mods, please deal with this poster accordingly.
  15. There is one big difference between you and I. I hope you are wrong. You hope you are right. Loser.
  16. Then why did you “like” this ridiculous post?
  17. Yeah, because QB’s never improve after college. The same lynch mob came after Goff after his rookie season. I’m saying I think he can develop. You are writing him off after 5 weeks of his rookie season. One of us is going to be right. I’d rather it be me.
  18. Go ahead. Write off Josh Allen after <5 weeks of being thrust into playing in a horrible offense. Love it.
  19. Point well taken, but he didn’t play poorly and he didn’t play great. Did he play “well?” Well I don’t think so. Do I think the Bills are trying to “cover up” for Josh Allen? No.
  20. I was watching the game at my sister’s house, and immediately before the play my BIL said “here comes the pick 6.” I believed it as as soon as he said it.
