  1. a .50 cal works.
  2. he posted himself in dolphins gear right at the time he was released. i just noticed it. his story on instagram has it approx. 19 hours ago.
  3. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/year/2025/position/cb/sort/contract_value The tiers of the free agent CB's are amazing. You have 3 out and above the rest. You have a mixed bag beneath that ranging from Byron Murphy who has had his moments to the stalwart Stephon Gilmore filling up the rest of the space until you hit the guys we might target specifically a value signing like Mike Hilton and those shortly below. He's the backside of 30 and could start on this team to shore us up into the draft. I am curious what Douglas signs for...
  4. We backed Elam into a hole. It is not necessarily the case that we blundered this up completely mistaking the best possible way to handle it because the reality was there was no great way to get him playing time. We had to start the best starters and they weren't him. However, if we gave him more playing time and if we allowed him to prove himself to us or another team as trade bait we might have something more in our hands with him. However, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I'd keep him at his contract now and work hard the next few weeks to play him, especially in garbage time, to show what he can do. There is a good chance we rout the Dolphins and that they will leave in their starters longer than we will ours. The first chance we get to put him in this week and next against he Colts the better. We maybe able to get some measure of who he is for ourselves or others. I could see Douglass doing a 1 year contract here or even a multi year contract. I'd not oppose it either and still draft a CB if given the chance. We have the cap space and we know what he offers. It'd be nice going to the draft having one less immediate need.
  5. @GunnerBill just agreed with a post of mine. the world is going to end!?!?!
  6. fine. what about Skelton?
  7. NC may be interesting when the final results in. I would not be shocked if it was a Harris win because the down ballot candidates for the GOP are polling terribly and been widely attacked from all over. NC will have a Dem Gov, AG, School Super, and a State Supreme Court. The LT Gov is still a race. People hate Mark Robinson and the woman running for School Super has been destroyed by the adverts.
  8. Reid is not infallible. In fact, I think he is overrated but he is very good. Reid, like belichick, struggled early in his career. It took finding the right QB and having a little bit of luck having some other things go right. For some reason I have a thought, a feeling, that Reid's house is going to come down.
  9. spoke to a friend who spent 2 weeks up there working with the school system (she is a counselor and has some pretty neat accreditations). she said that a lot of Asheville was lucky, Buncombe county overall the hard part that was hit and kept things closed. It's a pretty big area but the celebration of going back to school was quite something to see on the social media accounts of the residents. it was a moment of triumph. also, you're a stupid doodoo head liberal.
  10. this is my thought. and there has to be some sort of move to remove him from the IR to release to then put on the PS. if he was on IR and injury released i do not think he can return to the PS. trade for Ertz.
  11. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from a guy who knows a kid who's going with the girl who saw him alone and crying at Baskin Robbins. I think it's serious.
  12. correct with the Duke kid going to IR and we hardly knew yee Mr Evans.
  13. until the playoffs. some things are just true. Dallas is good until December. The Steelers always try really hard and over perform until being exposed. The eagles always choke. the chiefs refs always win cheat. the jets always jet. baltimore will run out of steam in december and run on fumes to the playoffs and flounder. maybe that's the hope. they can use him as a gadget guy and when lamar can get him the ball he's going to be able to cruise.
  14. if i am houston i am giving up a lot right now for cooper kupp.
  15. dude really has no life outside of football anymore. his ex wife is knocked up by some dude she's dating and shared that. tom's response was posting a sunset and Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" lyrics. i almost wonder if the dude doesn't have mental health issues at this point. this maybe the one time i'm being genuine about this cheating *****... outside of football i don't know what else this guy has left to cherish on with his immeasurable competitive edge and hyper focused spirit. i'd imagine his life is quite empty.
  16. I would have to dig deep in the memory of teams doing this in the past to try and stop us. it was mostly unsuccessful because of personnel on the defense and the Bills just playing that well with good personnel themselves. i want to say the Jags did this last year adding in blitzes and a good pass rush. this year it has worked more than in the past because our wide receivers have not been winning and Josh hasn't been making those risky throws. the jets always try to eliminate the outsides with tight single coverage pressing the boundaries and flood the middle zones. their personnel can't get it done and Gardner holds every play.

  18. his mistakes are easily coachable. his tendency to commit those mistakes is a flaw in his coachability. Pozluzknee and Edmunds led in tackles, too. almost all well past the line of scrimmage and on second or third contact tackles. he's also been the most reliable player to be playing on defense. otherwise Johnson would likely be the leading tackler, or any of the actual starting LB's. his injury is not that serious that he will have an issue recovering. if it was his hips, knees, or shoulder it would be much harder.
  19. we must also credit Josh Allen. In many game threads and posts there was great frustration on not looking for big throws down the field, or outside, or seemingly taking the easy pot shots. it seemed like josh had given up trying to make the big passes and just settled for check downs to the laymen. especially when we saw a few series of just short passes not stretching the field after the always reliable 1st down run. what was actually happening, so it seems, was Josh taking what is given to him and the path of least resistance. it's working and it should not be a problem. i don't have many negatives with the offense but we do need a Gabe Davis 3rd/4th WR who can run the deep routes to take the tops off and keep the coverages moving backwards. *i do not think Davis is a bona fide #2 but in a perfect world the best #3 possible. on this team he would be splitting reps with Hollins and Samuel. Maybe Samuel can do that when he's not booboo foot.
  20. he's playing better than i thought because he recovers quickly. he's a poor mans Tremaine Edmunds. which Edmunds was poor as it was. regardless, he's not far behind what edmunds brought to the team relative to what we cuold expect from someone in his position he is playing to his ceiling. that's ultimately a bad thing going forward in the sense that he isn't going to get much better. but if his floor is as high as it maybe showing he is an excellent backup. he could be the quintessential backup LB this team needs, though Spector maybe better overall. Spector will sign a big contract elsewhere after next year. Well, not big but just more money than I want the Bills to offer him (he will go on to be a special teams player for another 3 or 4 years seeing spot time on some roster like the Raiders or Saints).
  21. Real men ride off road.
  22. Wrong Josh. Everyone knows that.
  23. I think he can be very useful when as a counter to always using Shakir through the middle and exposing him to hits. Instead of simply putting Shakir in the slot have him as flanker with Kincaid on the slot on the other side to Coleman/Cooper wide. Cooper Kincaid OL Knox Shakir Allen Cook/Davis Shakir can read the coverage and either split seam running down field or sit in the soft coverage depending on Kincaid on the other side which if zone will draw the seam route or deep crossing route over Kincaid. Cooper/Coleman on the outside pulls leverage outside the hash. On the backside which would be the strong side you have Knox running an out pattern to the flat pulling the linebacker with him. Allen in the backfield has the option to dump off, handoff to the RB or keep it and run with a cleaned alley or throw it. The issue is a back shoulder throw to the opposite sideline is tough.
  24. if you can say the Bills haven't beat anyone you can say the Lions haven't either. The Vikings are playing over their weight and won't finish as strong as they started. Dallas is just Dallas. The Lions are probably the best team in football but this weekend is the most important game of their season thus far.
