Asante Samuel Jr, cleared to play, talking to teams
boyst replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
The c spine is still the spine, just cervical vs lumbar (or thoracic). It bears less weight, sure. It's just as important. The nerve roots are just as important and based simply off of knowledge/memory control some important things - lungs for example to keep you breathing (diaphragm). It also is the pathway which most of the arm nerves use when down into the neck at the intersection of C8/T1. Other than that they control the face muscles. It's a fairly big deal just as the lumbar of the back. A decompression and fusion, however, once fully healed will generally be fine going forward. The neck is troublesome and scary but it's more routine and safer than lumbar procedures. They also enter through the front of the patient supinated vs prone which is interesting. Regardless, if fully healed the damage is already done and recovered with fusion he should be ok. -
It's always funny to most fans to be in the position that we put ourselves in Over celebrate the guys on our roster well at the same time anyone we covet is the next All pro when we want them or just another guy when we don't get them. Moore is no better, Samuel has been better, Palmer is better, Harty was never better mostly due to size, and mvs was better in the right system with the Chiefs when featured as a number 3-4.

This is where I'm at too. So what that we lose someone like shavers on the roster. We would put him on the practice squad and he would be fine right there Sure we'll get Gabe Davis back and he might flash up to a number two at best, and Shaheed might make a peek at number 3 while playing as a number four he does something that nobody on this team is doing. Whether by design or their own fault nobody is getting downfield and open like necessary. No one is even trying a decoy threat downfield sufficiently.

Ok fine. ... Id do... Samuel and a 6th for Shaheed.
-
I'm not surprised. He married a horse.
-
I don't know, it's all speculation... But from my point of view not even going for Shaheed with a fourth round pick really frustrates me. I'm sure we were having other conversations to get someone like waddle, wilson, or who knows who. But we didn't even try for Shaheed first. We may swung for the fences but struck out on all phases. There weren't many positions to upgrade, and that upgrade would only be to rotation of players for a third, fourth, fifth round pick but there were moves we could have made that would have made sense

Guys... It's my fault we didn't get anyone. In my haste to hit F5 it did Ctrl alt F4.

Finding the right PT and listening to them is so important. Never just take the first PT you see. It's worse than car shopping. Test many of them out for what you need, one that you understand, one that understands you. I have seen about 9 PT's in the last 4 years at different points of recovery. The guy I have now deals with retired athletes, young professional athletes or college athletes, or the occasional washed up goober like me. It took 4 bad ones, 2 good ones I outgrew, 2 I still use for special things, and now him

Bills 4th Round Pick : Deone Walker - DT - Kentucky
boyst replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is a guy who should max out with 36% or defensive snaps. He's a big young dude -
The one that surprised me was the Shaheed trade. That was probably worth the price considering we may get a comp pick for losing someone anyway.
-
the Colts gave up too much for a team that is on the bubble of being a great team. sure their record shows them atop the league and doing well. but to lose those first round picks if this doesn't work out is insanity. the rams did this with a premier defense and added a cherry on top with Miller. the colts did this with a good defense and added a pickle, sauce gardner. he's not a pickle rick pickle, either.

Saints OL Penny to the Chargers - per NFL Radio

can we discuss thoughts like the fact that the Patriots haven't announced anything yet? and that's surprirsing? or do you just want only trade news/links?
-
sure it'd not be the headline we want but if we got something like... harrison phllips, von miller, and deebo samuel - for a 4th, 5th, a 6th and sent a player somewhere i'd be ok with that.
-
if I am Breece Hall i want to go somewhere like the Rams. The Chiefs are not where i'd want to go, honestly. they go by committee without a good line. the Rams have kyreen who would be a good 1-2 combo for him. the Brocnos would also be somewhere i'd want to go

for talent and upside, sure. but Diggs upgraded any team he was on to the #1. Wilson isn't the same

we won games.

Week 10 10. Bills over @Miami (7-2) 11. Bills loss Buccaneers (7-3) 12. Bills over @Texans (8-3) 13. Bills over @Steelers (9-3) 14. Bills over Bengals (10-3) 15. Bills over @Patriots (10-3) CHANGE 16. Bills over @Browns (11-3) 17. Bills loss @Eagles (11-4) 18. Bills over Jets (13-4) Thoughts on this that were shared is that by week 17 the Eagles may already have locked up the #1 seed and may not go 100% They picked the Patriots games and had them losing to the Bucs, Ravens, and the Bills; losses.

Waddle is the perfect WR2. Wilson is a streaky make or break #1.
-
yeah no team would ever trade a pro bowl player to a team in their division like a QB that was the highest paid player ever to Buffalo.
-
5.
-
not if he doesn't fit their plans or there are other issues in play. they need a QB, they need a better OL, and they need more than just a highly paid WR. i believe he could be sent.
