That's just it. Since I'm only a fan and the outcome truly doesn't change my life I think it would be awesome to go beat the Chiefs to get to the super bowl and win. I want to go out there slay the dragon, ***** the prom queen, eat my cake, maybe even ***** the dragon and the cake. I want it all. -

The difference from 267 and 300 is substantial, but body fat percentage wise at 300 lb I would estimate he was 20+% bf. Down to 267 if you could even get down to 16% that is significant. To go from 300 lb. At 22% bf to 267 can be done by simply cutting mass and only a little muscle. 300# is a lot to maintain. Getting to 15% is all he needed to do; with the ratio of losing skeletal muscle being about 3-6% lost. The difference between 260 and 300 in the NFL isn't as big as 210 vs 240. -

tampa is huge as a common opponent advantage. philly we matchup very well on because their skills are matched to our skills. houston matches up well against us, as does new england. as far as pittsburgh we just got too much juice for them.

as a fan: i want the #1 seed and beat the crap out of every team we face and sweet poetic revenge to take out the Chiefs and just the lulz to beat Jackson and the Ravens again. plus this means the Patriots don't win the division. reality is 5th seed is good enough. -
Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
boyst replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
this is a reason that the upper class is pushing for this is CLT is for the reason to have their social scene and schmoozing. 20 years ago you'd go to a game and you'd see bankers meeting and finance bros having talks around the floor. there are new field seats for the Panthers in the last 5-6 years and during the entire game i saw many in business suits talking and networking over watching the game. for those that can afford it - they treat it like an outing or just a social scene. speculations are the Panthers are 2-3 years from announcing their next stadium. the city and organization is are in talks but South Carolina is throwing the entire kitchen and not just the sink their way. -

Cowboys DE Marshawn Kneeland passes away - 24 yrs old.

There was a guy I knew. Looking back now in my mid 40's it's much different to think about... But I probably do every single day. He was my brother's best friend, at our house every day from 13 yrs old until 18 and going off to college. He was an all state football player, wrestled at an all state level at heavyweight despite weighing only about 220-225#. He was 5'10 so he never got looks despite Notre Dame saying he could walk on with preferred status. He was an all academic student at the prestigious Catholic school. He was my hero. I wanted to be an athlete like him, I wanted to be as smart, as strong, as popular. All the time I knew him I never knew until it was too late that he had a mental disorder. I was 5 years younger than him - and getting ready for school I will never forget the moment in the shower I heard my mom scream a noise and pain I will carry with me forever. Nick took his life. That whole day I was lost. I remember grabbing a pair of pants and a T-shirt. I got to school my sophomore year (public not the catholic school) and someone noticed I looked homeless, my pants too small and shirt wrinkled and a mess. I remember them looking at me and laughing and only feeling more pain. I could have been knocked over by a breeze. The school found out what happened and had me meet with counselors all day. I was numb. My hero killed himself. How would i who was never as good of a person as him ever make it in the world if he couldn't? What right do I have to keep living if he chose not to? These were literal thoughts I had and I remember all of them and the pain. I remember people I know from my school finding out, friends who knew his family, everyone was so sad. I remember the funeral and Simon & Garfunkel "I am an Island" came on. I remember that song speak to me to tell me how he felt and how much pain he has and now the pain he gave me. I didn't want to play football anymore. I didn't want to do anything. Nor did his brothers. His brother. Did end up playing the rest of the season (his junior season) and went on to play at Penn State (4 yr starter as a true freshman) and 3-4 yrs for the Colts. His other brother kicked for the team and went to med school. This whole seemingly perfect family, the kindest people who embraced the community was stricken with tragedy. The pain he felt didn't go away when he died. It merely was passed to all of us. Beyond that, a former boss killed himself. My brothers other friend who was friends with him got drunk and killed himself in a wreck but was an ####### and killed 2 others in the process, my neighbor killed himself on his front porch (I ended up power washing his blood and some remains off the porch for the family), and maybe 3-4 OD'd on purpose that I've known. Never have I seen the pain end when you take your own life.- 86 replies

I think there is so much more potential on this and while I realize I'm a bum sitting on the toilet with my thoughts and Brady is a professional sitting on the coaches chair with professionals... I think we can do better. We like tight formations but spread our OL out wide. We don't always do this but we create large run lanes with our blocks when we do or let Josh scramble through more open windows when he must. With these tight formations teams pull their defense in but we don't have the speed to exploit it / do not take advantage of it. Several times in 12, often 22 (with Gilliam), or even 23 packages we can put someone taking the top off the defense and complete short passes. We could go back to the RPO we are capable of or just play action. Our running game is going to get us the furthest in the playoffs of all the things we do and protect the defense. However, we have to show the ability to pass deep and scheme the zones open. If anyone has the stats I'd like to see what defenses we are seeing predominantly, man vs zone and coverage calls because I have seen far too much man on the WRs and single high coverage to be happy. This story is still pissing me off. Men's mental health is neglected too damn much. I've known far too many people to take their own life. -
Dorian Williams in the Hoecht/Lorax role?

I agree and that's why I think we'd be better off with Thompson on the line Rushing the passer is difficult. It's not simply see ball get ball. HIs tracking to the quarterback was off. He would be better as an off the line backer playing as a spy to rush the passer. Too lazy to get into the nuances of it for those curious why. Just going to say that he doesn't have a nose for it, or the dog that it would take to get in there and be nasty. -

I don't think he's big enough nor atheltic enough. Shaq Thompson should play that role. If Milano gets healthy again and Bernard can stay on the field a hybrid nickel with Thompson playing that role is the best bet. Hoecht was going to be the DE/LB. I don't see Williams having enough ass to set the edge or -

its interested. my son is in an AG history class for 5th grade and they're leanring about the UN. his homework literally spells out how the UN protects human rights and is responsible for the human rights around the world. if our great great grandparents heard that they'd start a war over that. if our grandparents heard that they'd immediately call it out as the communism it is. the only saving grace we have with the kids is now they call the lgbt folks "rainbows" because they can't call them anything else.

This was likely due to the high profile position that he had in the community. Not to mention the overall background of the event. Police likely wanted to make sure all their tees were crossed and eyes dotted. -
I have a hunch cook will play but Ray Davis will be the feature. I could see Bosa out but I expect up Vanessa to play. I'd love to give that guy with alopecia a chance. I'd learn his name if he actually dressed on game day. Jackson or something.

boyst replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
The talent of a number 4 wide receiver versus #4 cornerback cornerback is staggering. On top of this usually it is the fourth wide receiver against a linebacker. The drop off in skill set talent is tremendous. Few linebackers can cover a wide receiver even if it's the fourth on the depth chart. More rare yet in today's NFL is that a safety can cover a number four. The number for safety is generally a depth guy with a well-rounded toolbox. The number four wide receiver is usually a one tool specialist; being elusive, being fast, large body, something. For that kind of matchup you will get amazing opportunities. A David Tyree opportunity. A guy who could come in and make a valuable contribution. -

I will try not to make this a run-on sentence or get too long winded. Doing this while being lazy and doing voice to text Coleman needs to be off the field more at the wide out position. It's just not working or scaring anyone. He can go out there on certain Downs to help lock and maintain some mystery on offense but he needs to be tucked inside or off the field all together. The outside needs to have speed and people to draw defenses deep and the off balance coverage. Josh might look there and capitalize on a deep ball threat. Gabe Davis will be the one to do this better then Coleman but who knows if Davis will get there this year Putting samuel, palmer, Moore, or someone else on the outside that can draw coverage with over the top help to be bracketed. We are not seeing much from Shakir right now and using him wisely needs to be considered. He's overvalued by the fan base but extremely talented. Nonetheless putting in Coleman as a big slot or second slot guy will draw in the defense a little more. This gives us options to run outside, or push Coleman to the boundary where he's big enough to get a contested catch or over the Middle where he can survive the big licks by a linebacker. We are misusing our talent plain and simple. -
