  1. Case against: - The last two years are among the historically worst defenses in team history (and that includes some terrible years) - We are virtually elimintated from the post-season by mid-November in all 3 seasons with 3 months of NFL football to go - We still don't have a franchise QB on the roster - We continue to be out-coached in close games
  2. Lindell nails it outdoors in the rain with ease. Last week Chan punts instead of attempting a 47 yarder in the dome. Similar game circumstances, similar defensive performances on the day. Has Chan offered an explanation??
  3. Carrington is better than Dareus and needs to be placed on the 1st team - he's earned it
  4. Agreed. He along with Bryan Scott were the worst defenders today. Mercedes Lewis was open on every freakin play. Brooks has to turn his head around. The ball was going an inch over his shoulder - he could've had 2-3 easy picks had he not been faceguarding.
  5. You just described Cam Newton I simply disagree. If he had his big season this season instead of last season he would've won the heisman. He was the most dynamic defensive and special teams player in the game as a sophomore. If he was eligible for the draft he would've been picked #3 overall. The kid has issues, no doubt - but he's a defensive back not a quarterback. I'd be shocked if he lasted until the 4th round. He's better than Gilmore who we got at #10 this year.
  6. Going pro as I said. Watch him go in the top 10. Wouldn't be suprised to see Buffalo pick him and move Williams to safety after Byrd and/or Wilson is gone next year. http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2013/story/_/id/8689828/honey-badger-tyrann-mathieu-enter-nfl-draft-source-says
  7. Jags pick up Babin 4 days before we freakin play them. A CFL player had the game of his lifetime against Hairston last week - this guy is going to kill Fitz.
  8. You know Fitz is thinking "what the hell is gailey calling??" just like fans are when he is out there. The problem is we run these packages with 2 TE/1 FB and zero TE/FB on some of these passing plays making it hard to audible to the right call. As bad as Fitz is, Gailey needs to step back and just think for once. Maybe he is too focused on playcalling and scheme and is missing things that head coaches pick up on like time management. I'd like to think so but his play calling is terrible so I don't know what he's thinking...
  9. The biggest difference is between the ears. RG3's character was never a concern
  10. The problem is that for the last 2-4 games per year that the Bills don't sell out you can't see the game at home if you are in the blackout zone. I'm forced to go to the game if I want to see them play.
  11. Nicely stated. I'll take it one step further. I think the talent on the field and the offensive play design is better, but the offensive and defensive playcalling/scheme and the effort/chemistry of the players is worse.
  12. Totally disagree with this list and most of the lists on the board. First, how is Ralph on this list? He opened his pocket books and trusted his team. It looks like he made a bad call on the executive staff a couple years ago but what else could he have done this year that would be any different than any other year? I expected very little and if anything he overdelivered. Also, not sure about you but I expected virtually nothing from Wandstead, Gailey and Nix. I would have needed to have positive expectations to be disappointed. If anything, they met my expectations for what I felt they were capable of. Also, it looks like we might have had an average draft or better. Pretty good for a guy who doesn't know how to trade up/down the board. I am most disappointed in the defensive line and secondary. Both have regressed from last year even though the "talent improved" on paper. We all knew the linebackers were going to be terrible and they have lived up to that expectation. Fitz is the same way. He's a below average QB and has proved that to be the case, meaning he has lived up to our expectations. On offense, Freddy, Pears and Chandler have regressed. Before he was hurt, Pears was getting dominated. Freddy went from a MVP type of back to average, and Chandler's numbers have fallen plus he's been dropping some key passes this year.
  13. Money had nothing to do with it. The problem is the unions. It is virtually impossible to fire a referee - it's just like baseball. They grade everyone after every game and basically can't use that information to hire/fire refs. Its complete garbarge and I side with the NFL on the issue. The fans complained and got their refs back which is better, but not the best. We as fans basically screwed the league going forward. Again, this had very little to do with the money, and more the issue of performance.
  14. Lindell's leg cost us a touchdown on the KR. The ball landed around the 10 freakin yardline with no wind. The dolphins returner had a running start and we had no chance. I'm suprised nobody has really brought this up.
  15. Terrible reference. I go to every Bills home games and 2-5 Phish shows per year. Phish fans are 100x more respectable than Bills fans - no question. You won't ever see fights, cursing, girls and kids getting abused, puking, etc. but all those things regularly happen within a few rows of my seats at a Bills game EVERY game, last night being no exception. Night and day difference bro. Your point of Bills games being an embarrasment is very valid though. I'm in my 20s and ready to give up on going to games because nobody even watches or allows you to watch the game.
  16. OP - the problem is the limitations with Fitz' arm. When we need to go deep and move the ball quickly we can't. Also, his turnovers come at killer times. We looked better than the Pats last week and Fitz played great. The fumble at our own 14 yard line and the INT to end the game were killer. Some guys you named like Manning, Stafford and Luck are clutch and it doesn't matter what their stats are - they come up big in big games/crutial situations.
  17. In all seriousness he would be the greatest CFL player ever. He would be like a minature version of Bruce Smith.
  18. Look at Doug Collins last year with the Sixers. I believe he was coach of the year
  19. He would have been the #3 pick last year behind Luck/RG3 if he could've come out. Look at Cam Newton - he is a terrible person and went #1. Talent and on the field production trumps everything.
  20. He's still going top 10 in the NFL draft getting $10m+ guaranteed. Somebody will take him and he will be an instant pro bowler. He's an idiot but at his position it doesn't matter
  21. Agreed. With no pressure he just waited for their TE's and slot receivers to beat our terrible linebackers. Guys were WIDE open
  22. This is a historically bad defense. Last year was statistically the worst defense in team history. We are on pace to break last year's record. Terrible
  23. Chan will go down as one of the worst Head Coaches in franchise history. This of course was predictable and was our initial reaction upon his signing. They say the fans don't know anything but our insistence on constantly "outsmarting" other teams by taking complete reaches for positions is predictably blowing up in our face.
