  1. Exactly - his mechanics have been very bad. One INT last week was purely because of throwing off the back foot. The most suprising has been his lack of confidence and leadership. He is smart enough to realize that nobody cares anymore, but his ho hum demeanor might not work on some of these young guys that need a vocal leader. Good point. If we match up against a team with strong/physical corners and linebackers, our offense is very limited. Where I believe he has regressed is in a lot of the intangibles. He used to move guys around before the snap, change the play. He rarely does that anymore. He also keeps throwing deep into double and triple coverage in 3rd and short situations. He's not mentally in the game right now.
  2. I'm not sure what team you are watching but Searcy has been getting WORKED. He's too slow and can't tackle. When he was playing, it showed us how important George Wilson was to our secondary. Hairston looked good at the start of the year, but looked awful last game. He is still a prospect and is not a sure starter yet.
  3. +1. God forbid Fitz gets hurt. Thigpen would get shut out. Maybe 3 points in garbage time... maybe. Like I have said all along, Fitz is a slightly below average starting quarterback. It is what it is - the Bills bought high.
  4. Because the team is all late round draft picks and UDFAs... When we used our 'smoke and mirrors' the first half of the season it made us a 'feel-good' story. Now it is completely obvious why these guys were taken where they were. We are slower, softer and less skilled than our opponents who have top draft picks as starters.
  5. The guy is a wildcat QB who we are sending over the middle on crossing routes. Of course he looks bad. Those are the only looks he is getting on offense. I don't believe anybody mentioned this yet, but the blocked punt was 100% HIS FAULT. Look at the replay - he is the backup behind the right guard. He doesn't look at the rush and shifts to the middle and starts running down the field as the Dolphins rusher runs right through the spot he just left to block the punt.
  6. There is no excuse for Hangartner - that was all money. They also overvalued what they had at WR. I don't think they were prepared for a early season playoff run so they didn't give the team what they needed to compete over a full season.
  7. How do the Bills move up 3 spots on the bye week? We haven't even healed... if anything we got less healthy with Merriman going on the IR.
  8. Umm thank for correcting me with wrong info. He was a free agent.
  9. The Jets seem to be finding gold from our garbage. Jim Leonard has been solid. Ellis Lankster was in a lot yesterday as well
  10. Good analysis. To expand further, we still don't know if he is clutch yet. He choked a few games last year and this year and looked like a warrior in just about as many games. We will find out just how good he is after teams stack the line of scrimmage to take away Freddy and the dink and dunk. Edwards looked pretty good at first until they figured him out. Not saying Fitz is Edwards but you get my point.
  11. Last years leading receiver for a 6th/5th rounder? That's a "chris white" 9 out of 10 times. The Bills should have persued this.
  12. Ummm.... not quite. He was one of the best special teams players in the league. I believe led the league in special teams tackles.
  13. Exactly. What are they going to sit Freddy? He is one of the top 3 running backs this season and is in the MVP conversation. Hia best way to contribute this year was going to be on KR and PR with Roscoe out. The NFL took away his value as a kickoff returner.
  14. What is sad is that a hurt Sage Rosenfelds is better than Edwards. Trent is sitting on his couch hoping a 3rd stringer on a bad team gets hurt so he can collect the NFL minimum for a few weeks. Sad.
  15. We need a pass rusher - let's trade for him!! Get er done Buddy
  16. Agreed - I went last year and sat 4 rows behind the Bengals bench for $50/ticket.
  17. Stupid post. Brady threw for 500 yards. Gruden is a former QB and QB coach.... of course he would like one of the best of all time.
  18. Lay off Spiller. He had 1 touchdown and you couldn't possibly take Freddy out.
  19. Watching ESPN I swear Cam Newton won yesterday 41-7 and the Bills had their bye week....
  20. McGee - I thought we'd trade him but not cut him. I hope that report is wrong. He's our #1 CB - you gotta think there's a market out there for him. If he was straight cut, that's poor planning
  21. I'm with you 100%. I am going off Chan's comments that they are going with healthy guys and who performed well yesterday.
  22. Look at what Spiller's teammates say about him versus Maybin. It's not even close. Spiller is getting accolates from his teammates. Maybin was dissed instantly, getting called out on his play and work ethic. CJ is going to be a stud. I just wish we had guys in front so he doesn't always get blown up in the backfield.
  23. They are negotiating with Roscoe, so I can't see him getting cut. I said earlier it wouldn't shock me if they cut David Nelson, even though I want him around. Don't rule out Craig Davis either - he had a solid game yesterday and may have won the "bubble" spot. I think they go with the healthy guys, eliminating Nelson and Roosevelt.
  24. I hope I'm wrong on David Nelson because I like the guy, but even when healthy this pre-season he wasn't getting much playing time. He really emerged once Roscoe went down, but now he's back and Jones and Easley have stepped up. Plus they brought in Davis and Martin. Roosevelt seemed to be their go-to possession guy. This kid Aiken looks good too. If Nelson can't be ready to go for KC, he might be the odd man out. Agree on Shawn Nelson. I would be shocked if he WASN'T cut.
